Lk 3:9
And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

(grace bears fruit)

Jn 15:1-5

1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

Colossians 1:6
Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

Apart from Christ? nothing! Jn 15:5

In union with Christ? all things!
phil 4:13

grace empowers our works to bear fruit!

I have no problem with what you wrote, I agree.

We will restrict ourselves to the Holy Spirit and the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

It just makes our conversation easier.

Yet your still mixing two entirely distinct concepts; Salvation and the Christian life.

Now step by step.

Bearing the fruit of the Holy Spirit follows on from the reception of that gift of the Holy Spirit.

You agree of course?

If you do not bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit during your Christian life then the axe comes into play.

We agree here.

Now I will ask you two questions.

Is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit the seal of God's ownership over that Christians life?

Is a person who has received the Holy Spirit a Christian at that point in time?

power of His grace we are being saved, in the process of salvation
culminating in eternal salvation!

mt 10:22 he who endures to the end shall be saved

why do we need patience?

patience is love in the face of suffering

a fallen world is bound with suffering

patiently endure all things for the love of God, with the hope of the promise of eternal salvation!

Amen?
You may be missing something here.

Here is a simple question.

When a person believes and receives the Holy Spirit; an authentic Christian.

Then that person is run over by a car the next day they are dead, is that person saved?

Given they had no fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Read Ephesians 1:12-14 again GWH

14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance.

That's God's guarantee GWH.

I would request that you in future state 100%.
I don't know which 1% he's holding out for.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit:

Wisdom:
Understanding:
Counsel:
Knowledge:
Piety:
Fortitude:
Fear of the Lord:
You are starting to provoke me with that post.

I asked you what the gifts of the Holy Spirit are?

I did not ask for the opinion of some church or what some theologian/philosopher said.

Or what some prophet in the O.T had to say.

Here is what an authentic apostle of the Lord who was appointed to reveal to us what the gifts of the H.S are.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:8–10)
  • Word of wisdom: The ability to speak God's wisdom and guidance into a specific situation.
  • Word of knowledge: Supernatural insight or understanding of divine truth and circumstances.
  • Faith: An extraordinary measure of trust and confidence in God.
  • Gifts of healing: The miraculous restoration of physical, emotional, or spiritual health.
  • Working of miracles: Supernatural events or deeds that go against natural laws.
  • Prophecy: Forth-telling or declaring the word and will of God.
  • Distinguishing between spirits: The ability to discern whether a teaching, action, or message is from the Holy Spirit or another source.
  • Speaking in tongues: Speaking in languages or utterances not previously learned.
  • Interpretation of tongues: The ability to understand and translate spoken tongues for the congregation.
We have a problem Houston.

You must amazinggrace only use authentic sources in future.

Never listen to babbling theologians, ministers, or anyone else, use the force Luke.

Interesting reply he gave.

99%

Hmmmm.
Yes, that 1% would cause me a Hmm or two, lol. I mean, what guarantee can one be confident in if it's offered at any less than 100 percent?

For instance, "We back our brakes with a 99% guaranteed that they will work."

I just wanna add that I'm literally overflowing with love for all humanity even people that have nearly ruined me completely, so when I say I should just live recklessly, I don't mean that I wouldn't be loving towards others. What I mean is to live in a self destructive and self loathing manner by sinning against myself through a sense of worthlessness as I did up until 2 years ago.
How can you hav overflowing love for all the humanity of imperfect and some downright evil others, but not love imperfect yourself as well? What is so uniquely unforgiveable and unlovable about you?

All the same init? Sheol, Hades, the Abyss, Valhalla.
I was thinking about another way to say this to you, regarding some of your posts..

we leave Egypt and we are in the wilderness, when we are grumbling and talking about returning to Egypt, like saying are we ever going to make it to the promise land?
we do as some of the Jews did.

when we talk about returning to Egypt we expose our love for our sin, very serious, yet you do not hold the market on this as I am the chief sinner.

when we are baptized (symbolically) we are proclaiming death to self, want, our life in Egypt... when the Jewish people were in the desert and they would not (at 1st) face the giants they wandered in the wilderness 40 years, and never reached the promise land. we need to face our giants and forget about the express train back to Egypt. as a true Christian you will never enjoy your sin as you did before you were Called by THE G-D of Jacob to HIS SON JESUS.

in the desert we shall not want, as to you wanting G-D to reveal HIMSELF to you, I totally understand this may prove to be most encouraging. yet remember a few things, if G-D does answer your want, it may strengthen your flesh because want is from the flesh and not of
G-D'S SPIRIT.

also remember when JESUS said to doubting Thomas, you believe because you have seen ME, how blessed are those that believe and have not seen. So by not seeing at this time, you under a special group that believe without seeing. also Remember to much that has been Given, much will be required.

Remember Also JESUS is The PERFECT TEACHER, trust in this, and HIS TIMING, for HIS TIMING is PURE PERFECTION

food for thought

face those giants, I am here in Canada trying to do the same in JESUS Strength, remember HE Fights for us!

when we say we love 100% those are strong words, the heart is wicked and wretched who can know it?

the closer we draw to G-D the more our sin is exposed.
it sounds like you have a lot of the path to travel still, although I appreciate your honesty, & the struggles your having, this is a very positive sign that I see.

Do you know roughly when this might happen from the time a person is baptised exactly? Because I think we're literally in the days of Noah so I kinda need Him to speed things up a bit.
we are in the days of Noah you are correct, just learn as much as you can and DO the things God wants us to do, simply love one another and God above all else, God wants to see a Changed heart, dont worry about prefection none of us will be before his second coming within this generation.

Wrong again.

What are the fruit of the Holy Spirit as defined in the N.T?

What are the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the N.T?

What are the ministries of the Holy Spirit defined in the N.T?

Your going to be led by the Holy Spirit are you?

The Holy Spirit is given as a gift when you believe in Jesus.

Ephesians 1:12-14
To the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory. In Him, you also,
after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed
in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance
, with a view to the redemption
of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.

Do you understand what Paul is saying in Ephesians 1:12-14?

1 Corinthians 1:18
For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 2:5
So that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.

1 Corinthians 4:20
For the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power.

1 Corinthians 5:4
In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are assembled, and I with you in spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus.
proof you can be born again, justified, new creation, having passed from death to life, and have your name written in the book of life and still be eternally lost!

phil 4:3
whose names are in the book of life.

rev 22:19
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Now twist that!

yes water baptism, the initial sacrament of the christian faith.

water baptism includes, the supernatural gifts of faith, hope, & charity, sanctifying grace, and the life of the Spirit!

I try to live as righteous a life as possible since being baptised and try to live a sinless life. But I still have problems with things like swearing and smoking mainly. I wish God would speak to me directly so I know where I'm at spiritually because if theres no hope in making it to heaven then I may as well just live recklessly right?
1 John

1 John 5:13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

I'm suprided ther's not as much consolation for his burden about swearing.
It's such a common thing, I'm suprised to know there's someone getting eaten up by it from their private mouth.
It's one thing to use cuss words to intentionally profane someone. It's also not good to utter it around chidren and people displeased with them.
But if you're just bluring it out alone over sudden bad pain, buddy everyone understands that. That's less than dust in Gods sight.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-20
Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Do not quench the Spirit; do not despise prophetic utterances.

Why would Paul tell the Thessalonians not to quench the Spirit?

Why would Paul tell them not to despise prophetic utterances?

Does our sinful flesh despise prophecy and want to curtail the activity of the Holy Spirit?

1 Corinthians 14:39
Therefore, my brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak in tongues.

Here again is another warning to not forbid speaking in tongues.

Paul must be mistaken the church would never supress the activity of the Holy Spirit?
