So postribbers do not understand the rapture, it's purpose, or the purpose of the 7 yr trib.
The purpose of the rapture (one aspect of it) is made very clear in this passage:

Revelation 14:

14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. 17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. 18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. 19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

First, the 'righteous' are removed off of the face of the earth; then, the worldly evil is subjected to the Wrath of God.

"Your five minutes are up!"

I forgot to include in my previous post a statement saying that there is no 7-year tribulation period in scripture.

QUOTE:
"Matt 24:16-17.
Please note the following in both passages.
* The coming of Christ from Heaven.
* Angel(s).
* Trumpet sounded.
* The catching up of saints to where Jesus is.
It is clear to any impartial individual, that what is described in both passages is the same event. And that event is Christ's coming in glory at the end of the age."

Nope. Far from it.
Your verse from mat says "angels gather IN HEAVEN".
You changed it to "catching up of saints."
You can not differentiate "angels gathering", from "Jesus gathering"?
You want us to believe changing the wording, "from heaven" ,to, " from earth", is exegesis?... (as you ascribe to yourself)
What follows from exegesis is the realization and understanding that the word 'heaven' in that verse is referring to the 1st heaven and not the 3rd heaven. Along with the phrase "from the four winds", it essentially means "from everywhere on earth" - and, includes anywhere above the earth.

Did you know that 'the four winds' are a real thing? And, that they are what "drive" the jet streams?

Yes - the Bible knows what it is talking about. If people would only pay more attention to it - what it is actually saying...

I am sorry to disappoint you, but I will not be debating the issue with you.
I have over the last few months come out of dispensationalism with its pre-trib rapture.
I had been a dispensationalist for more than 50 years. Like you, I was aggressive in its defense, completely intolerant of any alternative view.
A few months ago, the scales fell from my eyes as I saw for the first time the fruits of dispensationalism.
After watching on TV the horrors perpetrated in Gaza by Israel and the unconditional support given by dispensational Christians to Israel, I began the re-evaluate my end-time views.
How can a theological view condone the killing of so many thousands of Palestinians, including women and children?
How can so many dispensationalists support a president (Trump) who is immoral, a bully and so egotistical?
The dispensational fruit is indeed rotten to the core.
So, I have walked away from dispensationalism as not only is it bad fruit, but it is also a perversion of Biblical interpretation.
Dispensationalism with its pre-tib rapture is something imposed upon Scripture not derived from it.
I still have many unanswered questions but one thing I am sure of, that a doctrine that was invented by Darby in 1830 is not biblical at all.
I thank God that He has opened your eyes to the truth! (y)

2) every one that is a postrib rapture adherents, fails to understand that the rapture is the gathering of the bride.
I seriously doubt that there are any 'post-trib' adherents who do not understand that - don't know where you got that crazy idea...

3) postrib rapture doctrine is " tribulation centered", not bride/bridegroom centered.

(Not Jesus returning centered.)
I believe you have it backwards...

'post-trib' rapture doctrine is absolutely and unmistakably 100% centered on Christ returning - at the Second Coming of Christ.

'pre-trib' rapture doctrine is put forth as being mostly centered around a '7-year tribulation' idea.

Jesus teaching the pretrib rapture.
Mat 24
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Jesus was wrong ?
No - Jesus was not wrong - you are misinterpreting the wording of the passage - making an assumption that is not supported by the 'grammar of the language' - Jesus was not teaching a 'pre-trib' rapture.

Then change "before the flood, normal life, everyday life, commerce and planning for the future, ONE TAKEN, ONE LEFT BEHIND."
"Watch and be ready"
CHANGE IT TO FIT YOUR DOCTRINE.
Jesus said it.
It offends you.
Truth rules.

No.
You are 100% trib centered.
That is what every post of yours frames as the subject.
Jesus said "pray that you may be counted worthy to escape the things about to come upon the whole world and stand before the Son of man"
(Jesus command.)

You are actually against that.
Your doctrine has Never agreed to what JESUS said.
IOW, PRAY the prayer "Jesus don't let me miss the rapture"
"JESUS I PRAY YOU FIND ME WORTHY AT THE RAPTURE"

You would never pray that because you do not believe it.
In fact you would mock that prayer.
Your doctrine labels those that pray that as weak and escapists.
You spend time on this board actually casting that prayer and dynamic down.

This is the epitome of ridiculousness...

Do you really actually believe that any born-again Christian will/would be "left behind" by Jesus at a [supposed] 'pre-trib' rapture simply because they did not believe the 'pre-trib' rapture view?

If you really actually believe that - :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored:

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Tell it to Jesus.
He said it.
Stop being offended by what the bible says

Matt 25 half the virgins left out.
Matt 24 , one taken, one left behind.

You do not know your bible, and mock those that do.
Sad

Who are the ones taken in mat 24?

Revelation 12:

1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. 3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. 5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. 6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. 7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. 13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. 14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. 15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. 16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. 17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 13:

1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 9 If any man have an ear, let him hear. 10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. 11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Okay - all of the words 'all' are "noted" - which one(s) are you referring to?
It say all take the mark.
So you painted yourself into a corner.

There you go again - focusing on the wrong details and missing the intended primary meaning while inventing something it does not actually say...
What is "before the flood, with normal everyday life at his coming"?
Is it different in your Bible?
Jesus himself said it
Was it an invention of His ?

There i go again, quoting Jesus and causing you discomfort.

Has it ever occurred to you that it could be you and others who have "changed" the Bible to fit the ideas in your own imagination?
Show me something specific.
Those general safe statements are not conducive to discussion.

I have answered and addressed plenty - you are not listening.

With specific regard to the Second Coming of Christ - there will be exactly one 'coming', exactly one 'resurrection', and exactly one 'rapture'.

The different passages in scripture that describe the Second Coming of Christ are different 'facets' or 'perspectives' of the same 'event'.

Your "3 vivid comings" are simply different passages describing different 'facets' or 'perspectives' of the same 'event'.

Every 'gathering' within the context of the Second Coming of Christ is the same event - the rapture.

I have arranged in the chart/table on this web page the order of events of the End Times Scenario:

Stop imagining that I said anything any different...

The resurrected dead-in-Christ and the remaining alive-in-Christ will be "caught up" together at the same 'event' - the 'rapture'.
I listed 3 comings.
You...again...did not address those verses.
Dodged it again.

This is the epitome of ridiculousness...

Explain exactly who is left behind and why.
The virgin parable is beyond plain.
The parable is worthy vs unworthy.

But since you see it differently, teach us exactly what is being taught by Jesus.

Hey, I’m not glossing over your concerns. But your recent pre-trib view — which was taught by men starting in the 1800s — is forcing the text in several places.

First, there is no 7-year Tribulation clearly taught anywhere in the Bible. That idea is a misinterpretation of Daniel 9:27. Daniel’s 70th week was already fulfilled in the first century through Christ’s ministry, His death, and the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. There is no future 7-year clock. That assumption is the shaky foundation the whole pre-trib system rests on.

Because of that, Matthew 24 is still a massive problem for your position. Jesus does not describe two comings in the chapter. He gives one continuous sequence: tribulation, cosmic signs, then “immediately after the tribulation of those days” the Son of Man comes on the clouds with power and great glory. He sends His angels with a loud trumpet to gather His elect. It’s Jesus’ own coming, not “just angels gathering in heaven.” The “one taken, one left” is judgment language — like the flood, where the wicked are taken away. Not a secret rapture of half the church.

Your take on Revelation 14 and the 144,000 doesn’t prove a pre-trib Church rapture either. The harvest fits at the end.

I’ve studied the verses you listed. 1 Thess 4 still matches Matthew 24 too closely (trumpet, clouds, gathering) to be a completely separate event years earlier. John 14, Matt 25, etc., all fit better with one climactic, visible return of Christ.

You can keep claiming post-tribbers don’t understand the bride or the rapture, but the plain words of Jesus in Matthew 24:29-31 remain the biggest hurdle for the pre-trib view. That’s not glossing over anything — it’s reading the text straightforwardly.

If you want to discuss, let’s stay with Scripture instead of broad dismissals.
Go back and see all the verses I posted.
Then figure out as I did that you have no basis to claim i did not do so.
That is beyond Ludacrous.

QUOTE
"You can keep claiming post-tribbers don’t understand the bride or the rapture"
I have sat through many many hours of post trib teaching.
And have never, not one time, heard any of them introduce the bride and the bride groom
You can go back check and it simply is not there.
The reason I point that out is because the rapture is the gathering of the bride by the groom.
That is what the rapture is.
Heaven sees all end times through the prism of the bride and the bridegroom.
The post trib doctrine is centered on the tribulation and that doctrine attempts to define;
tribulation.
Great tribulation,
wrath,
the day of the Lord,
the trumpet,
the last Trump,
the seventh trump.
Darby,
LAHAYE,
and other one liners, as the center of its message. ( and those talking points are the heart of that doctrine, plus the dead ancient men ( church fathers), that invented it)
where did that doctrine come from?
Post tribbers will tell you that they're doctrine came from men of the early church.
They showcase that as their foundation.
(So much for the "man centered doctrine claim" you tried to pull. You guys champion that one big time.)

QUOTE
"your take on Revelation 14 and the 144,000 doesn’t prove a pre-trib Church rapture either. The harvest fits at the end."
huh?
that harvest is during the trib.
What you leave out, is that the 144,000 are FIRSTFUIT JEWS.
That means main harvest Jews FOLLOWS.
You are forgetting JESUS is the firsfruits of the church resurrection.
The 144,000 do not fit ANYTHING CONCERNING ANY FIRSTFRUITS OF THE CHURCH...NADA.
They are exactly what the word of God says...FIRSTFRUIT JEWS.
If you read what is written concerning Rev 14, it blows away everything but a pretribb rapture.
Hands down.

Ask yourself why postribbers are replacement theology.
It is because of end times obstacles.

QUOTE
"words of Jesus in Matthew 24:29-31 remain the biggest hurdle for the pre-trib view. That’s not glossing over anything — it’s reading the text straightforwardly"
Huh?
You ever read it??
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Your passages support pretrib.
You posted that AFTER THE TRIB, ANGELS GATHER, ( NOT JESUS) , IN HEAVEN, (NOT EARTH).
Thank you for verses supporting the pretrib rapture.

But by all means keep reading.
Jesus then teaches the pretrib rapture, with "one taken one left before the flood,", and tells them, concerning the preflood coming, to watch and be ready.

Definately two separate comings taught by Jesus.

So you have some homework with matt25and 24,and Rev 14.

There is a ton on Rev 14 i have not even gotten to.

Question of the day is....is the great tribulation brought on by man or God?
It is Jacob's trouble, and Jesus releases the 4 horsemen to kick it off..

The 7yr trib is not a God originated vs Satan originated event.
Postribbers have clouded that up beyond recognition.
It is TIED TO PURPOSE.
(The end of the Gentile bride on earth, and the attention turns to the covenant Jews. Romans 9-11)
The 7 yr trib is a Jewish harvest / gathering, purging event.
Postribbers have no clue to the rapture, the bride, or the purpose of the tribulation.
