I'm sorry but none of that makes sense. If he was cursed to be a literal snake, then Jesus spoke to a snake when Satan tempted him?
If they would have "starved" to death, how is that possible when death wasn't a thing until after they sinned?

I don't know how people can take this literally... it makes absolutely zero logical sense and only ends up contradicting scripture.

I see no reason to doubt the account as literal. Satan appears with a number of names and in many forms, even as an angel of light. He is called the Devil, Satan, the Serpent, the Tempter, murderer, father of lies and the Dragon. They are different aspects of his evil nature. In the wilderness, he acted as tempter.

God created mankind spirit, soul and body. The body requires food. God put fruit trees in Eden for the pair to eat. That was before they fell. What was the point if they did not need to eat?

Jesus is from the third heaven. Contrary to popular belief Satan and his angels were never in the third heaven with God.

There is a difference between "needing" to and offering it. Examples are found in Revelation about after the world is made brand new and the river of life growing loads of different trees bearing fruit. I'm assuming then you don't believe in immortality? Sounds like you're morphing scripture to push for a literal interpretation while ignoring other points. Specially since you never addressed my questions to you. How can someone die, before sin was introduced when scripture then says death is caused by sin? (Romans 5:12) To accept your literal interpretation, I would have to ignore that verse.

There is zero reason to assume that the creation account and the fall of man is a parable. If you have evidence to the contrary, tell me what it is.

You need to know the difference between physical and spiritual death. Adam and Eve did not die physically. They died spiritually. God made the body physical with need of food and water.

Adam and Eve were not immortal. That was the point of shutting them out of Eden. If they had eaten from the tree of life in their fallen state, they would have remained that way forever, which was exactly what Satan wanted. God saw to it that Satan's plan was foiled.

And the clues make clear enough that the A&E story is probably a parable.
Yes, the truths the parable taught included spiritual death and mortality.

The passage also teaches that sin begins when GW is ignored and Satan's lie is believed,
sometimes well before any physical misdeed is done.
It also teaches the need to confess sin promptly instead of blaming others
or God for creating human nature in His image/with MFW.
It also teaches that failure to confess leads to chain-sinning and possibly becoming prodigal.

Read what I said. "If they had eaten from the tree of life". They were already spiritually dead. Adam died physically at the age of 930. If Adam had not been able to die, neither could Jesus because mankind's sin was laid on His body and it was his blood that paid for sin. There would have been no salvation.​
