Simple question: does your theology support that all of humanity has been redeemed?
All humanity has the potential to be redeemed, for Jesus died for all, so no one can say they were not included, and each person will be responsible for how they responded to the gospel message.

1 Timothy 2

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Yes or no.

Quickening IS convicting!
God wants everyone to be convicted, but He enables humans to resist/ignore His will.
This truth is called God's intentional and permissive will.
"Quickening" or "quicken" means to make alive, give life, or revive.
God only convicts those, He quickens to life. Those who remain dead in their sin are not convicted of their sin by the Holy Spirit. They love their sin and that's all they know, they are fully committed to serve their lust. They don't feel any remorse for doing what they love to do.

The Bible never says that "God wants anything", because God always succeeds in whatever He sets out to achieve. To suggest that God wants to achieve salvation for every single human, is to suggest that Gods fails to accomplish something. That means He is not Almighty, because He fails to bring about His will.

What are you talking about? Why would you post such a thing? Read my post again, more carefully. If one is in Christ through believing the gospel, one is sealed unto the day of redemption. There is no casting out of Christ.
Your theology is all mixed up, it's incoherent and inconsistent. You tried to defend your "saved by works" version of the gospel when I quoted;
Ephesians 1:4 "just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,"
You claimed that the verse is not about being chosen for salvation in Post #4,514 you claimed that the verse is about "spiritual blessings" You claim that the verse is not speaking about being chosen to be "in Christ".

So, if Ephesians 1:4 is not speaking about being chosen for salvation in Christ, and it's only about spiritual blessings, then you have misapplied what Hebrews 6:4-6 says about those who hear the gospel but aren't chosen for salvation.

Hebrews 6:4-6 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

Most of you who believe in the "saved by works" version of the gospel, read this passage in Hebrews as Gods elect falling away. But that's not what it's saying at all, there is no suggestion that they were saved to begin with. They heard the gospel and they made a "false profession of faith", but they were never born again.

If Christ paid the sin debt for all humanity, how are not all said to be redeemed?

Not said to be redeemed?
Because, after God draws men for a while?
Certain ones begin to resist and form hardness of heart.

Like those you can read about in Romans 1:18-23.
God drew them for a while to the point of even realizing that God is real, and knowing
it for themselves.

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all
the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the
truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God
is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—
his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen,
being understood from what has been made, so that people
are without excuse.
For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God
nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and
their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to
be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the
immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being
and birds and animals and reptiles.
Those men were most definitely being drawn by God!
It was their choice to find ways to reject what they wanted to deny.
Those ones never enter the phase where they are given the Gospel.
That is why we are told....

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not
believe stands condemned already because they have not believed
in the name of God’s one and only Son.
John 3:18

It says that they are condemned "already."
Condemned not for rejecting the Gospel.
But for rejecting God's drawing that always precedes the Gospel.
.........

These are your words..

Seems to me that if a person can only choose to do evil continuously than that person is evil, is that not the definition of an evil person?

And since Mary was not born again/regenerated until after the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus we must conclude that she was evil along with all the apostles, Noah, Job and others.

Every choice Mary made was evil from birth, because she could only choose to do evil.... that it the real life application.

That is always the problem with Calvinism people want the tenets without the actual real life implications.
Evil is not a created substance or independent force, but a moral lack or corruption of good, and an act of preferring anything above God. It exists under God's total sovereignty, where God ordains or permits its occurrence for His holy purposes without ever being the author of sin.

God sovereignly ordains or decrees everything that happens, including the existence of evil, yet He does so in a way that does not make Him morally responsible for sin or evil.

Because of man's corrupted nature, humans are naturally hostile toward God and spiritually "dead in trespasses," meaning they cannot choose or do ultimate spiritual good on their own without God's prior grace. Humans freely choose to do evil out of their own corrupted desires, and they are fully responsible and guilty for those wrong choices.

Yes Mary freely chose to do evil, just as the rest of unsaved humanity does.

Condemnation is for sin. We all begin life under condemnation for Adam's sin.

If Jesus paid for everyone's sins, and all sin is atoned for, yet some still go to hell, Jesus work of redemption is insufficient for salvation.

“I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you. 5But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.
8And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: 9concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; 10concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; 11concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. John 16

I guess that makes you a person who does not believe scripture and sadly someone who does not have acquaintance with the Holy Spirit.

Calvinism is not a blessing. It is a curse.
You Arminians always pluck verses of scripture, out of their intended context and force them to conform to Arminianism.

If you understood the verses above, you would realise that the conviction by the Holy Spirit in verse 8 serves to manifest God's justice and render them without excuse rather than to lead them to salvation.

The Holy Spirit convicts Gods elect of sin and that causes us to repent and it leads to our salvation, while "convicting the world concerning sin" does not produce repentance or salvation, but it results in condemnation instead.

You make no distinction between Gods elect (the children of God) and the world (children of the Devil). You should know better, the "world" in the above context refers to the Devils children, as verse 11 confirms "the ruler of this world is judged" So the ruler and His children are judged but Gods elect are saved.

As your way of thinking is pointing to? One would think they ate from the Tree of Evil, not knowledge of Good and Evil.
They ate from the Tree of knowledge of Good AND Evil.

We have the ability to make choices in favor of good, but only after being presented it externally as an option.

You, as a typical Calvinist, jumped over the individual responsibility component of atonement.

Jesus died for all, but if a person rejects what Christ did for them personally, their sins are not washed away.

Shame on you for saying that Jesus work of redemption is insufficient for salvation, due to individuals rejecting the light and favoring darkness!

Here we see clearly just how evil Calvinism is.

Hebrews 2:9

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

2 Corinthians 5:15

And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

1 John 2:2

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

I Timothy 2

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

We are saved by grace through faith
in Jesus Christ. No faith? No salvation.
We are saved by grace. No grace...no salvation.

If I have a leaky faucet, I might use a wrench to fix it. No one would say that the wrench fixed the faucet. They would say I fixed the faucet using a wrench.
Likewise, no one should ever say that faith saves. Rather, God saves by using faith.

According to you, His work is insufficient. It requires the work of individuals to be complete.

Also, while my theology is best described as reformed, I'm not a Calvinist. You perhaps should be ashamed for lazy labeling and slander.

The Blood of the Lamb: Full Atonement

Scripture clearly shows the inability of any person to deliver himself from the guilt of sin and from the consequent sentence of God: death (Rom. 3:10-18). The law of God cannot provide a way of deliverance (Gal. 3:10). There is simply no way to escape the condemnation of the righteous God through our own efforts.

God provided the way out of this horrible situation. He sends His own Son, the second person of the Trinity, into our flesh (Gal. 4:4). Christ provided His life to redeem His people. He bore the curse of God to remove the curse from them (Gal. 3:13).

This payment was full and complete: once made for all of His own (Heb. 10:12). Nothing more need be added to meet the just requirements of the righteous God. Salvation has been merited by Christ’s perfect sacrifice. Neither man’s work nor the intercession of saints or other creatures can add to that which Christ has already accomplished (Heb. 10:14, 18).

This work of Christ was the fulfilment of God’s word spoken in Genesis 3:15. The “seed of the woman” crushed the head of the serpent on the cross. Christ accomplished all of this for His people—not for all people (Matt. 1:21). He would deliver all those “given Him of the Father” (John 6:37). He gives His life for “His sheep” (John 10:11). He did not give His life, then, for those whom He says are “not of my sheep” (John 10:26). Christ unconditionally assures “His sheep” that He gives them eternal life. They shall never perish nor shall any man pluck them out of His hand nor out of the hand of His Father (10:28-29).

We may not, then, tell all who hear, “Christ died for you.” Nor have we the right to say, “God loves all of you.”

This is the great wonder of salvation: that God should deliver poor, miserable sinners, no more deserving than any others, and provide them with forgiveness and adoption unto sons. This is the power of God’s grace which He has shown in Christ’s cross (Eph. 2:8-10). Salvation is of grace—all of grace, grace only to the glory of God’s name. We can never then boast in our works nor claim salvation on the basis of what man does.

Do you know this great Saviour? Do you belong to Him because He has redeemed you of your sins? Then you are blessed indeed. Are you troubled of heart? Are you weary because of your sins? To such Christ says, “Come unto me … and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28). With the apostle Paul, we too can state emphatically, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thy house!” (Acts 16:31). Rev. Hanko

Covenant Reformed News – Volume I, Issue 7 – CPRC 51

Unredeemed humanity cannot receive the Holy Spirit. The world does not receive the truth. '16And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever— 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you.

Jesus speaking to His disciples. Jesus plainly states that unbelievers (the world) cannot receive the Holy Spirit.
This (among many other places in scripture) should create doubt in the mind of an earnest Calvinist. They should be asking 'well then, why am I being told that the Holy Spirit enters unbelievers?

Those who have accepted Christ are redeemed.

This nonsense of Calvinism that the Holy Spirit enters unbelievers is a lie. He does seal believers. BELIEVERS ie, those who have come to Christ with the acknowledgement that without Him there is no salvation.
You know, it is such a shame that true Calvinists do not have basic knowledge of the gospel and then their life in Christ when God makes Himself available through His Spirit which Jesus promised to all who come to Him (are His)
Basic and easy to understand truth which is available to all who do not accept the lie that anyone or anything is before Christ who is before ALL.

I pray God gives understanding here, but He does not force Himself on anyone. One day though, all mankind will acknowledge that Jesus is Lord.

As it is said, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion. Hebrews 3:15
We're all born as unbelievers and dead in our sin. As such we can't choose to believe, so if God didn't choose to save us, then we remain dead in our sin forever. A dead person can't choose to believe

You don't have a say in the matter, and nothing you do can influence the decision God made before He created the world. If God didn't choose you and write your name in His book before the world was made, then you will remain dead in your sin forever.

Your Arminian theology can't deal with the bible doctrine of predestination and election onto salvation. You can't find a single verse in the bible that supports your "free will" and "free choice" nonsense.

You, as a typical Calvinist, jumped over the individual responsibility component of atonement.

We bear or own sin.

Because of Adam's sin we are born separated from God, however we are NOT born with guilt of Adam's sin as Calvinist once again twist scripture following in Augustine's footsteps.

As usual I see the word games on this thread played by the Calvinists so boring and old.
