If it's the Lord's will for me to get married, I probably wouldn't throw a bouquet. I'd prefer a very small ceremony. All the ballyhoo before and during a wedding would stress me out. Maybe a very small get together in a wooded area with the birds singing or on a lakeside.
For me personally, the less I'd have to worry about before, the less stress on the big day.

many couples around here for many years are choosing the inexpensive route to matrimony. some people hire a pastor, invite some family & friends & wed at their homes. no band, dj, cake, alcoholic drinks, flowers or anything.

Huh, I did not know there were pastors-for-hire!
Are they the same as Hire-a-hubby? Or a related enterprise.

How can you wed at home? My narrow hallway only fits one person at a time.
 
And...no flowers?
How can you have no flowers? So, do they wed holding empty buckets??? Is that to put the cash in to buy a bigger house?

You ought to wed in the Tree Church
It is beautiful and has climbing red roses. Its not too big and has plenty of glades/glens where you can have your ceremony surrounded by trees and birdsong.

Yes, they also have rainbow roses. A single rose that is dyed in the entire rainbow of colors.

That's one of the great things about being at the stage of life I'm in.

I like what I like and I don't care what culture says! 🌈

I love bright colors, especially when grouped together, and we all know that God made the rainbow first. 🥰

I don't care for dyed roses, but they come naturally in all colours except that sky blue.

For blue flowers, you need hydrangeas. Or forget-me-nots

If you came over here, you could have flowers from my garden.

These have just finished flowering in mine, but they not too expensive at the moment. They are Dutch Iris

Louisiana bearded iris wouldn't be too far from you - don't need to go to Holland to see them in all their glory...or tulips
