Are you sure those meringue pies are not....Pavlovas?

I am seriously wondering with all your talk of Vegemite and 'Meringue Pies' whether you are not from the Osage County as I once thought but are from New South Wales in Australia.

I have never made pavlovas. I have looked at recipes for it, but I just haven't gotten to it yet.

Also, I've never been anywhere near Australia. Which is unfortunate, because I hear there are amazing spiders there!

I am indeed from the Osage. My birth certificate says as much

Here are some meringue pies I've made. The second one is an old fashioned banana pudding that I turned into a pie...

I also have to add Snackersmom if she's up to a full course meal at Whangnoodles.

There is no dress code, you may come as you are, t-shirts are fine, and as long as you wearing underpants, it's ok. The Whangnoodle staff will even let you wear underpants on the outside, if you prefer.

Their wait staff will be the one wearing uniforms. You'll be provided with bibs if you a messy eater like me who cannot twirl spaghetti with a fork.

I meant to respond to this when I was responding to notifications earlier, but I was swamped and apparently missed some!

Banoffee is something else I haven't made. I've checked many things off my cooking/baking bucket list, but I have many more to go. So many recipes, so little time!

Currently, I'm back in what I jokingly call my "man phase" where I'm working on projects and using power tools and doing very little cooking. I'll probably be heading back out of state before Thanksgiving and that's when I'll be doing a lot of cooking. During that time, Lord willing, I'll be back to posting a lot in the food threads like I was last winter. I might get to these desserts during that time!
