A parallel effort, Operation Level Up, went proactive —the Bureau contacted Americans it suspected were being actively scammed before they lost everything, saving 𝟏𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 and more than half a billion dollars in life savings (FBI Rapid Response). Patel says it's part of a 16-month campaign that has now recovered $15.2 billion total across the operation.

ICE has just announced a massive, unprecedented fraud bust exposing 10,000 foreign students actively exploiting the federal government's Optional Practical Training (OPT) program!
Federal agents uncovered widespread "phantom employee" fraud, finding locked doors and completely empty buildings where hundreds of foreign students supposedly "work" to maintain their legal status in America. One fake employer ridiculously claimed to hire only three students, while federal records shockingly showed over 500 foreigners using that exact unleased address!
