There is no doubt that the Lord Jesus is speaking the truth according to John 14:6.
However, what is questionable is the way people understand the Word of God.
This is because people can only understand the Word of God in its literal sense.
That is not true. Many people see the spiritual implication behind the literal text. Don't attribute stupidity or ignorance to others without cause, and don't do it as a generalization; it reflects badly on you.

There is no doubt that the Lord Jesus is speaking the truth according to John 14:6.
However, what is questionable is the way people understand the Word of God.
This is because people can only understand the Word of God in its literal sense.

Therefore, what people understand is that there are those who literally saw and did not believe, referring to Thomas, and those who literally did not see yet believed, referring to people today who read and believe in the Holy Scriptures even though they have not literally seen the Lord.

And concerning this, here is what the Lord God says.
ISAIAH 55:8-9
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Wouldn’t it be better, instead of interpreting the Lord’s words according to our own understanding, to simply ask Him what He meant?

Didn’t He Himself say these things?
Therefore, He alone has the authority to shed light on the meaning of His words.

Therefore, He alone has the authority to shed light on the meaning of His words.
And He has consistently done so over two millennia. What makes you think you are special, that God would reveal everything to you directly?

What makes you think you are special, that God would reveal everything to you directly?

Yes, I am just one of those who have become special in the sight of God.

For anyone who is humble is special in the sight of God.
And because that person is special, the one true God will reveal Himself to them.

Here are those who are special in the sight of God because of their humility, the one true God revealed Himself to them. .
MATTHEW 16:15-17
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my
Father which is in heaven.

The truth is, you are not special in the sight of God, which is why you have not yet come to know the one true God.

Your delusion is amusing.
If Simon Peter were still alive who just an ordinary fisherman and you were told that he was special to God, which is why God said to him, “Blessed are you,” you would laugh at him even more.

Because you are not seeking the truth, but rather those things that conform to your own beliefs.

Anyone who knows the one true God is truly special to God. For to those who have come to know the one true God, God reveals the truth through His words to them.

So laugh as much as you want, but there is a limit to how long you can keep laughing.

Each one of us is special to God. That's why He sent His Son to die on the cross in our place.
That is the result of deceptive emotions.
JEREMIAH 17:9

Looks like Before where most are anyway !?

Blessed is the person that has not seen Jesus yet still believes because our salvation is built on faith.

Some people say I have seen Jesus but yea you have not.

That would violate faith.

On earth before the second coming you will not see Jesus.

But if you die in the Lord before the second coming to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

But some people will say what about the disciples for they seen the risen Christ.

Those that seen did not need faith which the disciples and Paul did not need faith for they have seen.

But when Jesus appeared for 40 days and was caught up the people after that would need faith.

But that is what it means when Jesus said blessed is the person that has not seen Him but still believes because our salvation is based on faith.

That is why they could have greater revelations like Paul and John because they did not need faith.
Faith is required for salvation for all people, including those who saw Christ.
Seeing Christ does not eliminate faith; it strengthens it.
Revelation comes from the Spirit, not from the absence of faith.
John 20:29 commends those who believe without sight; it does not condemn those who believe with sight.
The disciples and Paul were saved by faith, not by sight.
Your conclusion that “they did not need faith” is not supported by Scripture.

John 20:29. With exact Greek definitions .

Jesus said to them, Thomas, because you have seen me, you have personally surrendered your life to me and live a life inspired by such surrender: fortunate and well off are they who have not seen me, and still personally surrendered their lives to me and live a life inspired by such surrender.

Doesn't have anything to do with doubting, but courage
John 20:29 — the actual Greek text μακάριοι οἱ μὴ ἰδόντες καὶ πιστεύσαντες. makarioi hoi mē idontes kai pisteusantes “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
There is no Greek word here meaning:
“personally surrender your life”
“live a life inspired by such surrender”
“courage”
“commitment”
“obedience”
“lifestyle”
None of that is in the text.

The truth is, you are not special in the sight of God, which is why you have not yet come to know the one true God.
Your claim “I am special in the sight of God because I am humble” is not biblical humility.
Biblical humility never says: “I am special in the sight of God.”
It says: “God is merciful to me, a sinner.” Luke 18:13
The moment a person begins declaring their own humility, their humility is gone. The moment a person claims special revelation because of their humility, pride has taken its place.
Scripture is explicit:
“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” (James 4:6)
The humble do not exalt themselves.
The humble do not claim special status.
The humble do not declare others unsaved.
Your statement is not humility; it is self‑exaltation dressed in religious language.
Matthew 16:17 does not teach that Peter was “special”
You quoted Matthew 16:17: “Flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.”
But Jesus does not say:
“Peter, you are special.”
“Peter, you are humble.”
“Peter, you are superior.”
“Peter, you are chosen because of your humility.”
Jesus says only this: The Father revealed Christ to Peter.
Revelation is God’s act, not Peter’s achievement.
Peter was not chosen because he was humble. Peter was chosen because God is gracious.
If humility earned revelation, then revelation would be a wage, not grace.
Your claim “God reveals Himself only to the humble” is half‑true and dangerously misapplied.
Yes, God gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). Yes, God reveals Himself to the lowly (Isaiah 57:15).
But Scripture never says, “Those who are humble become special and receive direct revelation.”
Instead, Scripture says: “He reveals Himself through His Son and His Word.” Hebrews 1:1–2
Revelation is Christ-centered, not self-centered.
The moment a person claims: “God reveals Himself to me because I am humble,”
they have ceased to be humble.
Your statement “you have not come to know the one true God” is spiritually dangerous.
You are claiming:
personal superiority,
special revelation,
divine favor,
and the right to declare another person unsaved.
This is the exact behavior Jesus condemns in Luke 18:9–14.
The Pharisee said: “I thank You that I am not like other men.”
The tax collector said: “God be merciful to me, a sinner.”
Jesus said the tax collector went home justified.
Your message resembles the Pharisee, not the tax collector.
No Christian professor, pastor, or theologian has the right to declare: “You do not know God.”
That is Christ’s prerogative alone (2 Tim 2:19).
The true meaning of Matthew 16:17
Jesus is teaching:
Revelation is from the Father,
not from human intellect,
not from human humility,
not from human specialness.
Peter did not discover Christ. Peter did not earn revelation. Peter did not achieve insight.
God gave it.
That is grace.
Brother, your desire to honor revelation is good, but you have turned humility into a badge of superiority and revelation into a mark of personal greatness. That is not the gospel. The gospel is: “Not many wise, not many mighty, not many noble…but God chose the weak, the foolish, the lowly.”1 Corinthians 1:26–29
If you truly believe God has revealed Christ to you, then speak as one who has received mercy—not as one who has achieved greatness.

How do we bypass the Greek? The New Testament was originally written in Greek (except for a few words of Jesus in Aramaic, like "talitha cumi" and "Eloi, Eloi lama sabachthani?"). There were translations into Aramaic, such as the Syriac Pershitta. I found a version of the New Testament in English translated from an Aramaic translation, and it has this for John 20:29:

29 Yshua {Yahshua} said unto him, “Now you have seen Me, and have believed; blessings to those who don’t see Me, and have believed!”

What is the result of deceptive emotions? Each Christian being special to God, or God sending His Son to die in their place? Those were the only two things Dino246 mentioned in his post.
The result of deceptive emotions is something that may seem acceptable to the human mind and feel good to the heart, but it does not conform to the truth. This is where people can be deceived, when they make their own thoughts and feelings the basis for determining what is true.

The truth is that those who come to know the one true God are the ones who are regarded as special in His sight.

It may feel comforting to believe that everyone is included among those who will benefit from the death of the Lord Jesus on the cross. However, what feels comforting is not necessarily what is true.
The truth must be based not on what we think or feel, but on what God has revealed.

A person who relies on his own reasoning to understand the word of God does not truly believe in the Lord Jesus. Likewise, a person who uses as his basis what sounds pleasing to hear or what feels good emotionally does not truly believe in the Lord Jesus. Rather, such a person is truly placing his faith in his own thoughts and feelings concerning God and His word.

Therefore, only those who have come to know the one true God are the ones who will receive the benefit of the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Because they alone are the ones who truly believe in the Lord Jesus.
JOHN 3:16
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I know that Jesus spoke in Aramaic. However, as far as I am aware, none of the gospels, in which we read His words, was originally written in Aramaic, but in Greek. The New Testament was first translated into Aramaic in the 2nd Century.

You assume (again!) that my statement is based in emotions. Most of your assumptions about me are wrong, and this follows the pattern.

Unless you hold to limited atonement (and it sounds like you do), you must believe that Jesus died to pay the penalty for ALL human sin, not just that of "those who know the one true God".

2 Peter 3:9 tells us that God is not wanting ANYONE to perish (eternally). You and your deluded little cult don't have a corner on His affection.

However, no matter how much I think about it, I still struggle with this question:
How can people today who claim to believe in the Lord Jesus without seeing Him be more blessed than Thomas, when Thomas was one of the twelve apostles personally chosen by the Lord?
The text doesn't say that they are "more" blessed; it just says they're blessed.
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John 20:29 (KJV)
It would appear that none of the other disciples, including the women at the tomb, the two on the road to Emmaus, and the five hundred brethren (1 Cor. 15) believed He rose until they saw Him.
