You might want to read the OP again.
The first paragraph means you and @pinebeach owe Lanolin an apology.

"It seems strange to me that there are no threads about what is happening in the world today. "

That reminds me:

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition

I really believe the great apostasy has already arrived. A person doesn't have to officially declare that they no longer follow Lord Jesus, just no longer accept essential biblical doctrines

Also census statistics show that Christianity is ceasing to be the majority faith in nations like the United Kingdom, Australia, and France. In the US, while the decline has leveled off slightly (hovering around 62–65%), younger generations (born 1995–2002) show drastically lower rates of prayer, service attendance, and religious affiliation.

There is increasing hostility within the church regarding end-times truths, with some denominations moving toward Replacement Theology (rejecting biblical promises to Israel) and scoffing at prophecy. Yes - there are people who say they are Christians, people who say they love God but hate Jews. And there are others who don't accept that there is a coming great tribulation.

2 Timothy 3:1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

It seems the entire op is floundering actually and not for lack of people trying to keep it afloat. IMO, when someone creates an op,
they should try to keep things focused. Oh well.

I believe i have siad a biblical perspective is needed here, also am not interested in any debates on what is said. I brought Mr. Trump into the forum talk to show the biblical accountability that goes with his position and how it effects a nation.
How is that floundering?
Am very interested in hearing anything the Lord has shown them. Unfortunately when I'm asked a question and respond it somehow gets mistaken as some agenda.
I thought it a good thing to try to create a fourm where one could express thoughts and concerns without being debated on issues
Which keeps many saints from engaging.
I certainly dont know it all but gleaning from others tends to edify those around.
Im trying to keep nutural in views that I dont and do agree with.
The Lord siad ...let us come together and reason....I have much to share but if you or others feel otherwise then so be it.

So let us continue on topic: I'd be interested in what people have to say about which current events seem to show fulfillment of the prophecies.

I think it's possible that we could be viewing our timeline too linearly when it's actually ongoing. For instance, according to the Bible we are in the last days now and have been since Christ, but many view this as a future period in time. While some are looking for a future reign and kingdom, His reign and kingdom is now.

I'm not saying there aren't current events that fulfill prophecy, but it could be that while we're looking at the present and future, some of these events are actually non-linear and ongoing from the past through future.

That my friend is the whole point.....where does your faith lay.
The enemy is very clever and deceptive.....he has studied man kind since the beginning. Did God say still is whispered in the ears of those who seek to know. The apostasy is not only involving the church but also those holding moral values.
Seeing the lawlessness increase daily as if it were a race, pushing agendas to the extreme, creating new vocabulary for there racial rage. The attack is not only on believers but on the basic principles the fabric that holds society together.

I think a tribulation of sorts is ongoing.
Which means the Apostasy , the false teaching, enemies of God working to destroy the church, and so forth.
Not everyone who says,Lord,Lord,is known by our Lord.

But,as it all transpires I think what helps to remember God is in control.
It is all part of his plan.

Even when that means we his faithful may have difficulty understanding what that is

You need to focus on what God whats you to do, not everything going on in the entire world needs to have your attention.

Otherwise what good is that to you? Doom-scrolling of things you can't do anything about? How many thousands of people have died today? How many babies are born? How many are suffering and in agony? How many are going hungry? How many orphans and widows? The tragedies of everyday life are endless around the world. There is always some war, natural disaster, car crash, and political coup. I wasn't born yesterday.

Trust what God has planned for your eternity and do your best to walk humbly and do justice I think it was set out in Micah 6:8

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." (New International Version)

Anyway.
Elephants do not have their head in the sand. They have long memories. We could actually learn something from them. We are not blind to the Elephants or ignoring them. Elephants are Gods creatures too, and need our love and care just the same as all the other living beings God has created, and they have a purpose.

If you are to be a light, don't place it under a bushel. The elephant, in all its mass, girth and glory, has a marvellous trunk that no other animal has. They can paint, they appreciate music, actually they are very artistic, and they all have different personalities, if you ever spend any time with them. They do walk humbly and do not just go randomly wild for no reason.

I don't mind that people misuse the elephants idiom to complain about stuff that is not really their concern and that they can't do anything about. Its ok you're forgiven, don't pack a sad.

I'm just glad that the elephants in this thread are no longer being ignored - now..how bet them giraffes?

🦒🦒🦒Giraffes are so cool. They can see above all the bulls. 🐂🐂🐂🙃

I believe we here in the west (U.S.) really don't understand the seriousness involved in the middle east per their beliefs, customs and traditions. We assume to much as we here in the states have enjoyed freedom of religion and let those that believe different than ourselves to be ignored and tolerated. That's not the case in the middle east.....more later.

When Oct 7 occurred I sought the Lord to understand what was happening. I thought is this it? Is this the eziekiel war starting?
How should we prepare. Several days passed as I watched the horrors unfold on the news and Israel's preparing to respond.
Again I asked the Lord for confirmation on my thoughts he gave me this scripture...
Pro 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
I thought to myself ..what does this have to do with what's happening? And dismissed it as irrelevant. Each day passing the same scripture came to my thoughts.
As the gaza war began and continued i watched what caught me by total surprise....the anti american anti Israel protest in our college and university's. The rise in anti semitisim daily. I was floored. Then a voice, thought, what ever, said....while you were sleeping.
This is my truthful experience which led me back to the word of God to search out last day events from a biblical perspective.
The Lord has shown me how to connect the dots that lead up to this present day.
As nations draws away from the word of God something takes its place, fills the void. Jesus teaches on this.

Mat 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

Mat 12:44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

Mat 12:45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

I'm gauging current events to see if there is any link to end time Bible prophecies. If there seems to be, I want to see if the end times prophecies occur in our lifetime.

Jesus said that will be the worst time ever and I don't want to be caught off guard and panic if we are the last generation. Panicking would be no good because people tend not to be able to think straight and make good decisions under stress (like saying no to the mark of the beast).

If we watch and see the great tribulation coming in our lifetime, we can gird up our faith and prepare to endure.

❤️ Absolutely, my friend, and we've agreed on this before in other threads. I'm also preparing for the worst per Matthew 24. I believe there are current events tied to prophecy happening today, but there's also a lot speculation and theories being cobbled together that don't stand the test. I'm keeping an open mind but will continue to test and question everything until proven true. In the end if we're prepared for the Lord today, that's all that matters.

Elephants don't live in just the West, captive in zoos and circuses. They originally roamed freely in Africa and Asia (southern part). They prefer warmer climates though.

It's very interesting how climate affects nations. After all God created the conditions of the world we see today, and they were affected by the deluge. The earth literally dipped on it's axis after that, and seasons became a thing in the temperate zones.

Climate Change is just one of the trials and tribulations, but it is actually affecting people right now, esp in 'the West'

It has already affected people in the Pacific. Known as 'the ring of fire' but rising sea levels are causing people to migrate/evacuate

We literally have an entire nation evacuate to New Zealand (most in my home town) because of this. The Tuvaluans. A lot in my area. Lovely people, really sad about their islands.

There has been nuclear testing in the Pacific, which the islanders didn't want, but other nations went and did it anyway. It has affected all sea life, and consequences of that are devastating.

Thankfully the gospel did spread to the islands, and the Pacific people really took to it. I mean the most vibrant churches are the Pacific Island churches.

The first paragraph of the OP invites your type posts.

"It seems strange to me that there are no threads about what is happening in the world today."

This thread should be in the news and current events forum.

I've noticed there seems to be Animus for Israel and Jews here. I think some look for any opportunity to pursue that topic.
