- Spinal Injury: Clancy suffered a traumatic burst fracture (also referred to as a Jefferson fracture) after jumping from a second-floor bedroom window and landing on frozen ground. This injury left her paralyzed from the waist down and required the use of a wheelchair. Good Morning America
- Wrist Wounds: She had "severe and deep" cuts on both wrists that required sutures—specifically a 3-centimeter deep cut on her right wrist and a 2-centimeter deep cut on her left. So yep, her wrist and neck wounds were not deep at all for someone committing suicide. Her actual injuries came from her jump/fall off the second story (which itself is usually not fatal), and likely she did not expect to paralyze herself. She likely thought she'd be able to bust a bone or two and then run this insanity defense with the suicide 'attempt', and ended up paralyzing herself accidentally.

I would wonder if she will represent her in the retrial?
I don't imagine the DA will refuse to refile though unlike the first they may make her a deal
I was particularly concerned with the supposed mental health professional,a woman, whom she trusted via Telehealth,to help her depression,mania and insomnia issues.
She's a defendant in a civil lawsuit. As well she should be. She really screwed the pooch as
Lindsay's Doctor.

Ms.Clancy was prescribed 23 different medications by said "Doctor".
Prescription sleep aids have a half life. As do anti-depressants.
Half life means the chemicals in the prescription are still active in the bloodstream and body tissues after they were first taken,and absorbed for whatever time period the particular prescription holds to.
Ms.Clancy admitted to drinking Vodka, on her patient intake form with Telehealth. Alcohol is a depressant .
So,what do we have here.
A woman with three babies. Ages 3 years ,2 years, and 8 months.
There are many hormones active during a woman's pregnancy. And after giving birth they don't just fall back to "normal" levels. In fact if she breastfeeds ,that alters her hormones as well. Ms.Clancy did breastfeed her children.
One concern was her issues with not being able to feed the 8 month old in the usual fashion. Low milk,etc...
Hormones take between 3 months to two or three years to balance,after pregnancy. Breastfeeding alters that time frame. Every woman is unique. So the time frame for return is too.
So,what do we have here? A woman with three babies. The three year old was here,and Ms.Clancy was not pregnant again until three months after that three year olds was born
She was not pregnant again after birthing the first baby,for only three months. Before she was impregnated again with her 2 year old.
Three months. When certain pregnancy hormones remain active for a few months and 2 to three years.
After birthing her two year old she was made pregnant again 7 months after the 2 year old was born. That would be with her 8 month old baby.
And again,7 months after pregnancy,she was impregnated again.
Now we have three pregnancies, occurring 3 months after the first one,and seven months after the second.
Her hormones never had a chance to reach full return pre-pregnancy status,because she kept getting pregnant.
The body had no time to rest. And the hormones were in a constant flux.
Which explains depression, mania,and insomnia.
Which is why her husband is partly respondible for her breakdown.
He kept getting her pregnant.

The guy who wrote cheaper by the dozen lived in my town, I guess his father must have wound up in prison for murder, he didn't mention that in the book.
You've made an assumption. According to reports, she was not depressed for years. She described herself as healthy and happy until the birth of her third child, which is when she claims her anxiety and depression started. She started meds only 3 months before the murders. She had 13 prescriptions from various sources, but only "took a fraction of those". They know which prescriptions were filled and the number of pills missing from each bottle, and it was not a large amount. LINK LINK

She did not, at any point, have 23 different medications. She also, at no point, had all her prescriptions from a single doctor. She had 13 medications. Most she stopped within a day or two of beginning them, giving them no time to see if they worked. Several she did not take at all. The prescriptions came from various doctors. Indeed, the entire thing points further to premeditation. She was shopping around for a diagnosis that would let her get away with this. She shopped around for medications to bolster this, and didn't share information between doctors, and hid information from doctors. She was on a total of two, at low therapeutic levels, when she killed her kids.
I was watching Reels on Facebook and one man was talking about the case. He said "don't scroll, just stop". I stopped and he counted off the time she took to kill each one. He didn't say a word just let the time go silently by. Then he said, " ok, the little girl is probably unconcious by now, she does this two more times. smh He'd have made a good lawyer for the defense.

Like, how long does it take to strangle three children to death, and does an alleged male command voice taking over to the point where Lindsay is a robot with no agency explain it all? Then the voice disappears altogether? Then we have the coherent call with hubby during the 'psychotic break.' These indicative of agency. Lindsay cognizant before, briefly during, (phone call) and after the murders. Lindsay baby blues and mental health allegedly declined after the birth of her third child who was 8 months old when strangled to death with a cord. Did the amount of time it took to strangle the baby decrease relative to the time it took to strangle the other two?
