“Living in agreement with the devil” is an ambiguous term.

Only to those that don't understand what the Bible means when talking about walking after the flesh.

God is not mocked, if we walk after the flesh we shall of the flesh reap corruption (Gal 6) because sin in the flesh has been condemned (Rom 8)

There is scripture that speaks of believers falling away in the end times. One cannot fall away from something one had not ever received in the first place.

1 Timothy 4:1,2 - Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron

2 Timothy 4:3,4 - For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine (teaching); but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

2 Peter 2:1-3 - But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying (contradicting, Not agreeing with) the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
And through covetousness (idolatry) shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not.

Jude 1:4 - For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness (no self control, living after the flesh), and denying (contradicting, opposing Jesus’ teachings) the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. (referring to false teachers and false brethren - Matthew 13:24-30)

I’m not “ reformed” although I believe they are right about most issues.

Then you are reformed meaning you are friendly with false doctrine.

Of course all Scripture relates to Jesus and His Work of Salvation in some way. But what you posted does not succinctly convey what THE Gospel of Salvation is. Paul DEFINES that message for us:

1 Corinthians 15

The Risen Christ, Faith’s Reality

15 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. 6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles, Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.

Yes, because, these dudes relied on THEIR works, and law following. "Lord, Lord, did WE not do this, and did WE not do that!" NONE of them said "Lord, Lord, did we not trust on YOUR finished Work, and Sacrifice for our sins?"

All this to say YOU need to help Jesus save you and keep you saved.

No thanks. I'll rely on Jesus for that, and for the Holy Spirit to continue to sanctify, discipline, and correct me to become more and more Christlike.
These guys relied on THIER works and law following to save themselves. "Lord, Lord, did WE not do THIS, and did WE not do that!"
NONE of them said "Lord, Lord, did we not trust in YOUR Finished Work, YOUR Sacrifice to pay for our sins!" Jesus answers He NEVER knew them. NOT, that at one time they were born again, and they didn't follow the Law, so Jesus disowned them. He NEVER made them His Child.
I don't think you understand what the word "proof" means. Proof is not "reliance". My reliance, is on Christ who not just took the penalty of the broken covenant, but also helps me follow Him. I love Him, and since He is King, I will obey. You can choose not to, that's entirely up to you.

To be born again means you're a completely different person. You CANNOT be a new person without following the law. You have to nail your sin to the cross. Sin is lawlessness and if you're still living continually in that lawlessness, you cannot be a new person. You're just the same person while claiming you believe in Jesus. Same as demons. Doesn't make you any different.

Let me ask you something, how can you be a changed person without following the law?
How much of the Mosaic Law do you refer to ?
Which parts are Christians to observe ?
If you still lie, steal, cheat, bear false witness, take the Lords name in vain, curse, speed, covet, treat your neighbor poorly, don't give anything to God, don't help the homeless, the widow or orphans.
The folks doing those things are not Christians.
They have not repented of sin or been reborn of God's seed.
Don't celebrate God's own personal feasts He instituted,
The feasts were precursors that have been fulfilled by Christ's coming.
Having experienced the true Passover Lamb, I have no need to celebrating His forsages.
don't comply with what He says to do, how is that living in faith? Because you just believe Jesus is God and that's it? Even the demons believe. How does that make you ANY different? How does that make you an example of God's character? How does that show you are a child of God while actually acting like a child of Lucifer?
I am dead to the Law, by the Law...just as Paul explains in the first part of Rom 7.
The law shows us HOW to live and how to do it righteously. To argue against it, is to argue against righteousness itself.
Who was made perfect by the Law ?
Anyone ?
None...right ?
The Law was God's way to show man that he was evil and needed a Redeemer.
Well, the Redeemer has come, so men can live in love and truth.
We no longer need a Law to show us how wicked we were, as we are no longer wicked, if we are in Christ.
Matthew 7:22-23 is very clear. People can claim Jesus, people can claim God, even argue of proof of the holy spirit by performing miracles, but who does Jesus dismiss?
He dismisses sinners.
The law never goes away...
Is circumcision necessary for salvation ?

And on topics where Paul said it was his opinion, the Lord agreed with it and put Paul's opinion in scripture to be part of God's canon meaning Paul was led by the Lord in forming the opinions he holds.

If Paul had an opinion that was not in agreement with the Word of the Lord that would indicate Paul was not being led by the Lord and as such the Lord would have not put that opinion in His canon.

The Lord is the One Who controlled what went in to scripture in spite of man being involved.
If this was not true then the Bible needs to be burned.
Amen to that.
I like how Paul says..."If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord." (1 Cor 14:37)

The folks doing those things are not Christians.
They have not repented of sin or been reborn of God's seed.

Yeah, they are reformed theology

These people go around saying they sin every day, they were born sinners, and they can't stop sinning.

You DO understand that many believe YOU promote false doctrine right?

I go by what the Lord says in His Word so I'm not called to follow the opinions of others.

That's how people get sucked in to reformed theology because they are worried about getting kicked out of their little social club where their friends and family go who accept whatever the reformers tell them having no idea what God teaches in His Word.

These people have been tricked by the devil to accept the religious wisdom of man as though it were the Wisdom of the Lord.

Amen to that.
I like how Paul says..."If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord." (1 Cor 14:37)

Well don't tell the reformers that. They made up their own religion.

You can tell who the deceive ones are. All you have to do is say something negative about on of their beloved reformed teachers and they get all bent out of shape claiming blasphemy which demonstrates they follow men and have made idols out of them.

Idolatry run rampant in reforms and catholic circles.

Which parts are Christians to observe ?
All the morality laws + Feasts. Same answer to both. When it comes to dietary restriction, I highly recommend it because there are beneficial reasons for it (not just health wise since God considered some people unclean depending on what they ate, so righteous too) but if someone wants to follow it, that's between them and God.

The folks doing those things are not Christians.
They have not repented of sin or been reborn of God's seed.
Then only Christians are following the law since that is IN the law.

The feasts were precursors that have been fulfilled by Christ's coming.
Having experienced the true Passover Lamb, I have no need to celebrating His forsages.
In the millennial reign, if you don't appear before God for Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles), the entire nation doesn't get rain. (Zechariah 14) It's one the 3 feasts you're supposed to appear before God for. Even Jesus took part in the feasts. The last supper literally is the feast for Passover. Then you have another where Jesus read scripture in the tabernacle for Day of Atonement as he declared it was a Jubilee year as it was tradition to read that particular passage of Isaiah. If Christ continued celebrating, if Christ is the one who made those holidays, why do you NOT celebrate it but will celebrate pagan ones like Easter and Christmas?

Who was made perfect by the Law ?

None...right ?

You're still following the law in order to repent for your sin. You can't repent without following the law.

Is circumcision necessary for salvation ?
It's a command and who is it for? Literal descendants of Abraham by blood only. So unless you're biologically of Jewish heritage, no. If you are and don't do it, it's a sin and you have to take that up with God himself.

Yeah, they are reformed theology
These people go around saying they sin every day, they were born sinners, and they can't stop sinning.
Many try to justify walking in darkness.
It is our responsibility to try getting them into the light.
Don't let them wear you out.

Idolatry run rampant in reforms and catholic circles.
Personally, I try to remember not to say anything that I cannot back up with scripture, so they would be arguing against God's word instead of with me.
Keep studying !

The morality Laws have been written in the hearts of those faithful to Jesus Christ.
It happened at out rebirth from God's seed.
Same answer to both. When it comes to dietary restriction, I highly recommend it because there are beneficial reasons for it (not just health wise since God considered some people unclean depending on what they ate, so righteous too) but if someone wants to follow it, that's between them and God.
Not being a Jew, none of the Jewish feasts apply to me.
Frankly speaking, they don't apply to anyone who has been justified by faith in the Lord Jesus.
Then only Christians are following the law since that is IN the law.
Only the repentant and reborn are walking in the light, which is God.
The Law showed us we were bad, and Christ showed us how to be good.
Knowing now how to walk in the light, I no longer require a rule book.
In the millennial reign, if you don't appear before God for Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles), the entire nation doesn't get rain. (Zechariah 14)
Where is your scripture, backing that statement up ?

OT laws and regs no longer apply.
I am living in a new covenent.
You're still following the law in order to repent for your sin. You can't repent without following the law.
All I have to know, or do to repent, is quit sinning.
Every man has a conscience to let them know the difference between right and wrong...thanks to Eve and Adam.
It's a command and who is it for? Literal descendants of Abraham by blood only. So unless you're biologically of Jewish heritage, no. If you are and don't do it, it's a sin and you have to take that up with God himself.
If one wants to live under one Law, he is bound to live under all of them.
Paul writes..."For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law." (Gal 5:3)
You can substitute "feast keeping" for "circumcised" in the above verse.

It's literally in the brackets. Zechariah 14.

OT laws and regs no longer apply.
I am living in a new covenent.
But Pagan holidays matter more to you than God instituted ones?

Every man has a conscience to let them know the difference between right and wrong...thanks to Eve and Adam.

Again, law without Christ. We are bound by Gods rules always. Those rules don't fly out the window because otherwise there's no way to define God's "righteousness" if no rules apply. And no, you cannot substitute things in a verse that the verse doesn't say. That's you making something up to fit because you'd just rather not do it. Just be honest. You don't want to and that's why you don't. All you're doing is trying to find validity so you don't have to do it, because you don't want to.

Been doing some reading lately on Christian doctrine and I keep running in to people saying it's normal to sin daily and it's not possible to stop living in sin. It's like they are saying there's no hope to be free from living in sin and they have just accepted that this is normal.

What sects are teaching this exactly, does anybody know?
The problem is those who say " It's normal to sin daily." It is normal for the flesh to desire the things God said do not do.
The question is it possible to stop living in sin? This is an oxymoron . The world is fallen, and all are born in sin and shaped in iniquity. PS 51:5-6

We must bring it back to You and I instead of they and them. Are you sinning daily ? Are you enable to be free from certain sins?
Does one understand that being tempted is not a sin unless you are drawn to it by the lust and become a willful participant.

The does always mind the flesh, but the spirit always minds the Spirit. The question " It's normal to sin daily" is one asked asa loaded question. It is one of evasion of ones own personal struggle with a specific sin they:
1. Do not have victory over,
2. Have no desire to let it go because they love it to much,
3. in an environment or culture that has accepted the sin as a normal daily occurrence.

Lets get to the issue of the matter . IF you are practicing sin such sexual, addictive , and abusive sin and are not or have not repented , removed yourself from the environment and cultural acceptance, and are not renewing your mind by the word of God .
You will do that type sin daily.

Instead of arguing strawman of salvation by works or sinless protection. How about each one of us deal with the hidden sins of perversion, addiction and lying. And Hypocrisy, that causes one to think they can create reasons theologically to water down one's own act of sin.

The question to ask is, am I under some uncontrollable compulsion to sin?
Do I have no other option but to lie, steal, be unfaithful to my wife?
The obvious answer is no. It is a matter of choice.
What if the grace of God was able to keep you from making the wrong choice?
Maybe for 5 minutes? For one hour? For one day? For a week?
Let us not limit God's omnipotence, He is able to keep us from falling.
As jesus said, even a hint of lust in your heart makes you an adulterer. Even a bit of hatred in your heart makes you a murderer.

Many try to justify walking in darkness.
It is our responsibility to try getting them into the light.
Don't let them wear you out.

Yes and some have already become reprobate which is why the Lord inspired forum developers to discover the Ignore Button.

Some just have to learn the hard way which is a terrible way to spend eternity.

It is normal for the flesh to desire the things God said do not do.

Actually it's not for the mature Spirit filled, Spirit led Christian but is normal for those that don't know the Lord who are no abiding in Christ being led by the Spirit. They are still walking after the flesh in condemnation

Romans 8:13 - For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Ephesians 4:22-24 - put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

1 Thessalonians 4:4 - That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour

The question is it possible to stop living in sin?

Yes it is, for the mature Spirit filled, Spirit led Christian

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me

Matthew 19:26
with God all things are possible

all are born in sin and shaped in iniquity. PS 51:5-6

Actually, David's mom was in sin when he was conceived.

So why not get born again and walk in the Spirit and escape sin's influence?

The reformed can't do that because it would tip over their little religious wagon and they would have to admit that have not been following the whole counsel of God He has provided in His Word.

Are you sinning daily ? Are you enable to be free from certain sins?

You were just saying man was born in to sin and it's normal to want to do sin.

You can't have it both ways. You either believe reformed doctrine or you don't, so which it is?

Instead of arguing strawman of salvation by works or sinless protection.

This is what those who are reprobate say frequently as they refuse to allow the Holy Spirit to lead them in to all Truth (God's Word) because they favor the carnal minded religious traditions of so called reformed theology which teaches them it's normal to go ahead and live in sin which is evident because the reformed love to tell everybody they are sinners and they sin every day in thought word and deed.

Those of us who actually accept the whole counsel of God who have learned to submit themselves to the leading of the Holy Spirit know better than to follow the carnal minded religious traditions of so called reformed theology which is choked full of error.

Where did you get that OT feasts will be celebrated in the new millenium ?
Do you realize that there IS a new testament ?
You need the law in order to walk in light.
Scripture please.
How do you know what is good unless you know what is wrong?
I have the mind of Christ, something given to all the reborn.
Besides, since Eve and Adam ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, everyon knows what is bad.
It's literally in the brackets. Zechariah 14.
There is nothing written about a millenial kingdom in Zech. 14...did you misquote the verse ?
But Pagan holidays matter more to you than God instituted ones?
I celebrate no pagan holidays...what are you writing about ?
If that was true, then the law would never have been given.
The Mosaic Law simply codified what Eve and Adam opened up to us...the knowledge of good and evil.
Again, law without Christ. We are bound by Gods rules always. Those rules don't fly out the window because otherwise there's no way to define God's "righteousness" if no rules apply. If you feel it necessary to continue living as if Christ didn't live and die for us, go ahead.
Christians have been made free from the Law's bondage.
Paul writes..."And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you. " (Gal 2:4-5)
