That is called works salvation.
So what ?
Th only works Paul ever wrote against were the works of the Law.
It goes like this: I am saved by believing that Christ died for me and bore the punishment of my sins so that I can be forgiven because I cannot earn my own salvation. BUT, then I must obey and work to KEEP the salvation God GAVE me when I first believed or I will be turned away.
That is the unfied stance of those who don't want to obey God.
Having been reborn of God's seed, nothing gives me more pleasure that doing His will.
It is simply my newnature !
That, is not salvation. That is working for the salvation you received through faith in Christ.
If anything, it is the manifestation of whom I have been regenerated.
Have you read Galatians or do you avoid the New Testament?
I have read it: what do you have in mind ?
Perhaps Gal 2:16..."Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."
Or perhaps something from Gal 5:19-21..."Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before,
as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."
