Thank you for this, Snackers!

This explains a lot and jostled my memory.

I think there was also another name, StandUp, but I could be wrong.

I only saw a couple of these names, but sinless perfection always seemed to be their major theme.

This person appears to always emphasize everyone else's sin and disobedience to God while implying that he never sins or disobeys, and if we were real Christians, we wouldn't either.

Ah yes, I forgot about Stand-up. There were probably others as well.

Sinless perfection is actually a fairly common ideal in BDF. The proponents all seem to have an extremely narrow-minded definition of what sin actually is. Stan was very comfortable with bearing false witness, but other sins that he had a better handle on he would just lose his mind over, accusing people of them randomly and berating anyone who was not prideful enough to claim that they never made a mistake.

Anyways...... fun times. He's an interesting little psychological case study.

There's a lot to the story and it's probably best left unsaid. I wish him well. May he find what he's looking for.
I have an update that I think is better than any relationship drama... It's just me now and I'm on a journey of wellness. After he decided to end things, it was a very painful time. I'm not saying the pain is over, but clarity and healing are gradually replacing it. After the breakup, I made a list of things I want/need to do before I ever get into a relationship again (if I ever decide to do that again) and I made an agreement with myself to complete that list. But, I didn't really make the list for the sole purpose of getting into a relationship again, I made the list for my own overall well being. I sent a search party out after myself, so to speak. I'm on that journey now...and getting stronger everyday, little by little. And I think that's the best update I could ever share ❤️
I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. I didn't mean to make you bring this up. I thought you had already let it go. I hope your wounded heart will heal quickly in Christ, and Jesus can comfort the deep scars in your heart.I guess you must be just as elegant and confident as a queen, just like your name suggests.I hope your wounded heart heals quickly in Christ, and Jesus can comfort the deep scars within you. Wish you all the best!❤️

May the Lord continue to bless and strengthen you Carrie. You have exactly the right attitude about all this and I find your story endearing and empathize with you regarding what you went through.

Earnest prayers for you in Jesus' name 🙏

There's a whole category of Heartbreak Hotel threads on here. We have pity parties on the Singles Forum at least once a month.

It's ok we have plenty of tissues and comfort foods.

A pity party is definitely not what I'm seeking. I tend to be a private person and usually keep these things to myself. Being thought of as throwing a pity party is part of the reason I like to be private.
A lot of my story on this site has been told by him, and most of it twisted. When I said that I was tempted to vent was because that not much of other side of the story (mine) has been heard. But, I decided to answer Starsdance7 with what I thought was something better, that is moving forward to doing better...and definitely not for a pity party.

Having the right attitude is important. They can't keep a good Chieftess down! 💪

Thank you for your prayers, StoneLion! 🙏🦁

That's absolutely right 🔥 we are chosen and set apart for the great works the Lord has intended for us. Continue thriving and ruling as the chieftess you are.

You (and many others here) will always be in my daily prayers 🙏

Thank you! Us lions and chieftesses go through rough patches and sometimes downright terrible times. But, like warriors that were taught through pain and endurance, we come out stronger 💪 ⚔️

I wasn't meaning you CarriePie. I meant in general, and it's not a bad thing to have a pity party once in a while. It's actually a GOOD thing to release the pain and its healthy to cry.

Why do people think 'putting on a brave face' and being big and tough and staunch/showing no emotion is somehow better?

I'm not really bothered if I show weakness because thats the times I can go to God and His grace is sufficient for me.
I have been to Heartbreak Hotel numerous times. The pillows and comforters there really help. Honestly. I can sing in the shower and nobody is going to yell at me or beat me up.

Does God want us to live in a war zone all our lives? I don't think so. Last time I checked, Jesus won the battle and got Victory for us.

Hallelujah.

There is an entire book of the Bible called Lamentations. It's about the time the Jews got exiled to Babylon, and they were sitting down and weeping over Zion by the rivers and hanging up their harps in the trees. What did they do...they wailed and they asked 'how can we sing a love song, in a strange land?' well they found a way.

Sometimes all you get from love is a love song. And it's the best love song because it was written with a broken heart.
God's mercies are new each morning.

For my part in this conversation, I didn't say that people shouldn't show emotions or that it's better to only put up a strong front. As I had mentioned, it was a painful time for me after the breakup. Pain in that there was emotions and even weeping. Everyone deals with these situations in their own way. I'm more of a deal with it by myself type of person. Now that I've gotten (mostly) through the pain of it, my reason for talking about it making a person stronger is because in the stage after the weeping and grief is the becoming stronger stage. At least, that's how it usually is for me. Again, not everyone is going to be the same in their healing process, which is totally fine.

For me personally, I like to come out of my grief period to a path of growing stronger and even better than I was before. I think that's healthy progress. Thus, why I mention feelin' stronger every day. It's a process. Even in the stage of getting stronger and better, there will be times of sadness. I like to power through those times. Nothing wrong with growing stronger. Nothing wrong with times of grief either. "To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven... A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance."

Well thats good! You have come a long way. yes it is a progress though I've observed that people that are ahead of others tend to not have much compassion for those that are not at the same level as they are.

For example, older people on the forum (and in life) are quite impatient with younger or newer members. They somehow have this idea that since they have arrived where they are in life, that others ought to have as well and know better, and not ever make any mistakes. Well some of us are not on the fast track of life, or have got there in the order/route they think everyone should have taken.

As someone else pointed out on BDF people seem to have the idea that we need to be perfect, and this anything NOT perfect is somehow unGodly, and thus isn't it great to have them on the forum to point out everyone else's flaws. Because how would you know that you're this sinner unless someone pointed it out to you? You could be blithely sinning away, and not even knowing it! And so you must thank others for their correction, because they must be right.. right?

The way I understand it, is the Holy Spirit convicts people's hearts. Jesus doesn't yell at us like we are soldiers in bootcamp, and certainly, I would probably not even listen if someone did that to me..even if they said 'oh it's out of concern for you' . Reasoned argument can work up to a point. But it never changes anyone's heart to have whatever they wrote picked on and dissected, as if being criticised ever made anyone a better person. (unless they asked for it)

I love this forum and the people but oh, when you become the moving target of someone's hate-fest /personal beef/criticism....

Your emotional narration and expression are very appropriate and vivid. I hope you get well soon, even though you are going through this. But God is with you through this feeling.

Exactly!! I have a very similar perspective and although it's not for everyone it's nice to share that with someone ⚔️

I really like your personality and drive, and meant to ask earlier: would you like to connect sometime and chat about the Word and see if we have any shared interests? You seem like an interesting and fiery person and I would love to learn the origin of the Chieftess of Smashingness!!

I'm on Discord if you use that - but I'm open to connecting other ways if you don't. God's blessings and hope you have a wonderful day/night 🙏

That's very sweet of you to say! CC is about the only place where I'm active.
And don't be fooled about me, I think I'm more so a recluse old lady whose biggest excitement these days is naming the critters that visit my yard. For example, in the middle of the night a few nights ago, I kept hearing noises outside. So, outside I go to check to see who or what was in my yard. It was Pepé Le Pew! 🦨

Blessings to you too! 🙏
And smashingness! 🪶

That's a very funny way to describe yourself but I see exactly what you mean and I'm glad you've got lots of critters to entertain you and keep you occupied. I've seen so many skunks on the short walk I do for work. I think it's a season for them and other small mammals so I hope you to get to see lots of lil animals.

Thank youu!! Smashingness to you too 😂
