When someone's "insights" are not what the Lord teaches in His Word it's not unfortunate to depart from said "insights"
In the end it's only the Lord's point of view that matters.
If a person truly repents and changes their mind which is changing their understanding from being carnally which is death (separation from God) minded to being spiritually minded (which is life and peace,
Romans 8:6) then their behavior will change as a result.
But, the tares among us advocate for being able to be carnal minded, living in sinful behavior and they falsely claim they are still in right standing with the Lord when they do so.
1 John 3:8 - He that committeth sin is of the devil
1 John 3:7 - Little children, let no man deceive you: he that DOES righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
James 1:22 - Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves
John 12:46 - I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
It's always sad to see people claiming that they are Christians as they actively advocate for sinful behavior, claiming that does not disqualify them from being accepted by the Lord.
2 Timothy 2:12
if we endure, we will also reign with Him. if we deny Him, He also will deny us

Well, it seems you are not to happy with "insights" so let's switch it to "dogmas" which I define as encapsulated and ossified filters that only allow dogma compliant data to get in. So, lets take a trip down dogma lane as see where you fall on the spectrum.
Did God choose all who would be saved before He created the world? An if that is key to your dogma, does that mean nobody can be saved who was not predestined and does that mean a person preordained to be save has no possible chance of being saved? Will the predestined to be saved live different lives from the unsaved?
Jesus said "He that believes and is baptised will be saved......if they endure to the end" So, is baptism essential? Jesus never says you are saved by faith alone, but to Paul it is central to his theology.
What does your dogma say about a 6,000-10,000 yr old earth?
If a man divorces his wife who has not committed adultery, and remarries, does that mean is a perpetual adulterer?
If you say you love God but have a hate list are you a liar?
If you fail the judgement test of Matthew 25 are you going to hell no matter what you claim to believe?
If you criticize someone who claims that the Holy Spirit works in and through them are you blaspheming the Holy Spirit?
Are your dogmas more Calvinist or Armenian?
Are you a John Nelson Darby dispensational premillennialist?
Is today's speaking in tongues a legitimate expression of Christianity?
Is abortion murder?
Can God save the billions of humans who have never heard of the Christian God?
Is hell eternal torture, temporary torture or annihilation?
Is how you live unimportant to God just so long as you claim to "believe?"
Is instant salvation a guarantee?
If you hear a 60 second pulpit prayer and it sounds believable so you claim you do? The moment you come to faith are you instantly and permanently saved?
Is having the "right" politics a requirement for Christians?
Are "Christians" from all denominations going to be saved?
What role does obedience to Jesus commands play in salvation, as your comments suggest that Christians advocating sinful behavior are not "saved."
It is possible to claim Jesus with our mouths and best intentions of the moment, but retain total control over day to day lives?
Is it virtually impossible for a rich man to go to heaven?
Who put evil into the Garden of Eden?
Are (were) angels sexually active? (are all angels males?)
Did God stop the earth from rotating to help Joshua win a battle?
What exactly did God say at the baptism of Jesus?
