So very sorry to hear this brother. She and I had some words about politics but she was never nasty or personal. She seemed to me to be a Godly woman. I'm sorry for your loss and will add you to my prayer list.

I think what she said about how there might have been sex before 'the fall' which didn't end in pregnancy (who knows?) is something to think about, after all, Adam and Eve were both naked and not ashamed.

They probably were just being human and naturally curious about each other for the most part and wouldn't have thought it was something to be ashamed of, or hidden away. Maybe they were in the courtship stage of getting to know each other.

No, most churches' default narrative is based on (pre-existing) marriage. If you're single, that's just a "preparing stage", presuming you'll get married someday, somehow. There's no theology for folks who have nobody to marry and no resources to date.

In our church we have plenty older singles, 40, 50, 60, 70... in different fellowships. We all helping out in different capacity.

Older ones not necessarily want to get marry. Many are content.
