The tax collector said, "have mercy on me a sinner" and did not claim sinless perfection. Self-righteousness is not obedience. It truly amazes me how everything that I explain to you just continues to go right over your head. :(
No OT man had the abilty to crucify the flesh and be raised with Christ to walk in newness of life.
We of the NT have that ability.

I think your very much mistaken about me, and your lack of compassion here and betrayal towards God's word is evident, There are numerous scriptures, from God centred around understanding are frailty and the spiritual warfare we go through, and how we can stumble when led astray. And when it comes to having a relationship with satan, that's not something I ask for, so why make fun of that and make out I'm having relationship with satan ? Gods children all suffer spirit warfare that's not welcome. Obviously you think your perfect on that front I bet
God has provided the admonissions and exhortations to keep us walking in the light-God.
Many will fall away from the truth before their lives end, because they refuse to heed them.
However your response is to see that as something I welcome, this shows your mean nature, and one that's doesn't care that much.
You lost me there.
You twist my words to make out I ment something else to when i never.
Mathew 26:41 mark 14:38 both tell us how the spirit is willing but human nature can be overcome by spiritual wicked forces, again that's not something we welcome.
I hope you realize that both those scriptures were from the time before Christ was killed, buried, and raised from the dead.
Since then, the "flesh" can be destroyed, and we can now walk in the Spirit !
And it again that can be something a new believer can struggle with, as Jesus is addressing this to believers.
Jesus was talking to OT Jews, not NT Christians
Keep putting on a show but God won't be mocked, eventually he will no longer here you if your not saved, coz I doubt you are saved
I still have a long time until I am raised from the dead, either to eternal life or eternal destruction.
If my name is in the book of life on the day of judgement, I will then say "I am saved".
Until then, I am just a convert.

Freed18,
you are repeating yourself again, and in addition, flip-flopping your position. You are trying to weave my words regarding justification into your own conditional belief system. When (if) your foundational point of view completely changes, then post.
Is my agreement with what you posted so untasteful to you that you have to reply like this ?

And the gnostics did the same, claiming they have never sinned.
So when someone is cleansed of all unrighteousness, you think they still have sin in them?

Seems like it ought to be at least a few minutes before they sin again since so many people think it's no possible to walk live in sin being a sinner that sins all the time claiming they just can't help themselves but to sin all the time everywhere they go.

I see you got banned. AGAIN.

Again your response is just an idea that can fit your reasoning, but it's mainly self reasoning.

And again your self reasoning resonates very well with all the excuses as to why eternal security is seen as lie, and why people are all seen as liars and sinners who believe in eternal security.

Your reasoning also resonates well with people who actually hate children of God, they have excuse after excuse to, and deflection and distortion of the truth mastered.

Because that's the way these people go, which is they master the art of self glorification and give glory to God for it, with there must be right ideas.

To suggest that human frailty is less frail before the cross isn accurate, and I see your reasoning, but how do you fit your reasoning into well ok if that's case, then everyone Jesus spoke to before the cross where not saved to, so that would excuse the 12 disciples, and the reasoning is because Jesus hasn't Gone to the cross yet. out of the 12 which included doubting Thomas, there only seems to be one that may not have been saved. Being told when I go I will prepare a place for you, has to believed.

Your making just another self reasoning idea, that's all, and all your doing with it, is leaning on it,
Which is another thing self glorifies do, and somehow they believe there glorifying God by leaning on an idea, whilst disregarding 100s of facts,

And with your ideas your also denying instructions in his word to not lean on your understanding.

I suggest you stop pushing your luck, and stop leaving provocative statements, because the only way human frailty can be sin free is to be free of condemnation each day by being grounded in the word. Those who are in Christ are free from condemnation, by the renewing of your mind

Playing games like this is provoking responses but I sense you know that.

Mind you, you could be saved and still speak like this, as it could be human frailty that wants to self destruct reject and after being close to purity, as in the indwelling of the spirit as in the seed the light and the word living in the heart, which is causing the flesh as in the human nature as in frailty to reject because of feeling inadequate, leading to denial.
Because human frailty can feal hard done by so easily. Because it can quite easily believe stuff isn't it's fault.

But the fallen human nature condition is now a condition called fragility, frailty, where it need the spirit that is willing. That's our saviour Jesus who doesn't lose his sheep.

My turn from sin has been true for that long.
I thank God for all the tools He has provided for my, and othes', continued faith in His protections, guidance, healing, and love.
Perhaps you should have explained like this the first time 🤐. And explain better about me ha ing a relationship with either jacko or satan, which one was it ? I had you two down as being in agreement with each other, all tho maybe not everything, but you where encouraging him.

I see the more extreme sect of your belief system is now out the door.

T
after reading his responses there, was quite a few people he was going to for guidance for, here and in other threads

I wonder if now, those people can see the error of there ways. 😬

Please explain yourself better in future, don't think for one minute human frailty which is permanent condition can somehow overcome satan, it can't, your frality needs Jesus, because your frality can't see that coward.

Well it's time to say Goodbye bye to wacko jacko on his scooter and wish him well on his shopping trip 4d3e80f64c4a4351b92671f7525b28d2.gif

Goodbye whacko

I just wanted to know if it had been weeks, or months, or how many years.
Next month, I will start my 19th year without sin.

Thank you for the laugh brother

and thanks for proving you are decieved.

1 John 1:8 - If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

This reminds me of the pharisee who pumped his chest. praising God he was not like the sinner. vs the tax collector who was so humble he was not even able to look up. crying out for Gods mercy.

which one do you think you look like?

Ooh! "Well said mate" Are you an Aussie?

I think people either forget or do not fully comprehend just what the Lord God has done, not only on our behalf, but also to us when we believe. Either that or they think the Lord has trouble telling who is genuine in their belief and who is not.
Haha maybe my Liverpudlian roots could be considered Aussie, or maybe the Aussie roots are Liverpudlian, Liverpool England, we speak with ancient that's rare and we say mate in nearly every sentence haha 😆

The same thing he always does to get himself banned. Trolling, agitating, false accusations/slander against others.
I get that from the dispensationalists every day. Why they still here? Well pray for him guys. Obviously, there is prayer needed there.

Gnostics weren't Christians. So What? Try to make a point relevant to living the Christian life.
So when someone is cleansed of all unrighteousness, you think they still have sin in them?
Yes. This may sound strange to our ears, but in ancient times, the term "cleansed" or "clean" didn't refer to the removal of dirt or even the removal of sin. Within the Jewish culture, a sin or a misstep resulted in a state of disfellowship which disqualified a person from participation in the religious life of the Jewish community. To resolve this disfellowship, the Law provided the means to enter into fellowship with God and the people through rituals and animal sacrifices. When a person was in disfellowship, they were said to be "unclean," and when they were in fellowship, they were said to be "clean."

John uses that concept metaphorically to describe those in fellowship with God. Remember, those who have fellowship with God walk in the light, and at times the light will expose sin and convict us of it. We may nave not have known about it, or we may have found a way to ignore it, but as we are led by the Holy Spirit, he reveals it to us. How do we respond? We confess our sin, and Jesus will forgive it and "cleanse us from all unrighteousness," meaning he restores us to fellowship with God.

Seems like it ought to be at least a few minutes before they sin again since so many people think it's no possible to walk live in sin being a sinner that sins all the time claiming they just can't help themselves but to sin all the time everywhere they go.
Our focus should be on ourselves, specifically our hearts. We can't know other people's hearts or why they seem to struggle with a particular sin. Some of us need to "bottom out", so to speak, which will drop us to our knees in prayer and fasting.

The point is, we can't know what is going on from the outside looking in.

Hebrews 5:9 - And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him

I always wonder how people continue to believe they are saved anyway if they aren't obedient to the Lord.

Some come right out and say that obedience is not required for salvation even though that's not what the Word of the Lord says.

Apparently this is further proof that some among us openly reject some things the Lord says as they walk in disobedience.

There are two types of obedience:

1. Satisfying God's condition for salvation is required.
2. Striving for moral perfection during the lifelong process of sanctification.

The former is attained by repenting of rejecting God's will and accepting Jesus as Messiah and Lord, aka saving faith.
The latter was attained only by Jesus, which is why he was qualified to atone for sin, as Heb. 5:9 indicates, but it is NOT
attained by Christians during this earthly existence, as even Paul confessd in Phil. 3:12-14, saying it remained his goal.
The best we can achieve as we cooperate more and more with the Holy Spirit is Christlike moral maturity/love
(Phil. 3:15-16, Eph. 4:11-15, 3:16-19).

I will go with most of what your saying, but if it was just as simple as putting it into a requirement, I believe everyone would be going to heaven, for most part I wish that could be true, but I believe a person confessing is more fitting after being enabled by the father.

Not by my own account but from scripture.

The long old justification arguments have there points of view on both sides, but two people can admit the same thing one be unsure and not get saved. Both have admitted in a fallen state,. So the idea it's not fair to judge someone in fallen state, is my main belief for not completely believing your stance here, but I do understand it. Especially the second part, I like that very much mate
