You know, I don't consider the Lord and the Truth of His Word as a one trick pony
Maybe others do, but I don't.

I said YOUR one trick pony. I thought you could read?

You know....that constant drip drip drip of reformed people are loosers, liars and lame brains. That one trick pony 🐎

reformed people are loosers, liars and lame brains.

I just don't understand why they continue to not believe the entire Word of God.
They consistently reject portions of scripture that does not agree with their indoctrination.
The catholics have the same problem.

portions of scripture that DO not agree etc. people are generally more believeable when they use grammer fitting to the occasion

He does

They do

Plural vs singular

you're welcome

Well if you don't understand, ask. (snaps suspenders and moves on)

Freed18,
again, you are not saying anything new. As I told you yesterday and earlier today, you have already laid your cards face up on the table. Your latest statements merely repeat that position. You have chosen to rely on your own performance for spiritual justification. You do not believe that Jesus Christ alone is the Savior. Post again when you have something new to add; until then, further debate is pointless.
I was justified by the blood of Christ already, so need not justify myself.
In Him, is no sin; so those in Him have to be free of sin too.
I thank God for allowing us to be free from sinning.

Freed18,
To be in Jesus Christ is to walk in the Spirit. Walking by the Spirit is the outward evidence of being in Christ, not the cause of it.
I agree.
So those not walking in Christ, are not walking by the Spirit, and must still be converted in order for them to find their name is in the book of life on the day of judgement.
What matters, therefore, is being “in Christ,”. It is the Father alone—not man—who places a person there.
God's given way of being "in Christ" requires us to be baptized into Christ.
Paul writes..."Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?" (Rom 6:3)
That is just one of the choices new converts must make of their own free will.
That is why I posted what I did, you were just unable to comprehend it.
The sole requirement for salvation is to have been among the Father’s spiritual children from eternity past, because only they are placed in Christ by the Father. He will and must save them all; obedience has no role in obtaining salvation
If one is in Chirst, obedience is the proof.
There are no disobedient people "in Christ".

If one is in Christ, they walk as Christ walked.
How we walk, is our choice.
Manifest from whom you have been born.

who the son sets free will be free indeed, and indeed that is true but also in deed as well 💪 and indeed there is no way to undo God's deed, it's our living hope,

With that living hope we overcome the attempts of the devil who wants us to see shame after we have been saved. He wants to be in shame of sin he wants us to feel guilty and basically all the opposite of gifts of spirit, he will stop at nothing and he loves division, there is a million ways to sin and Satan will do his best every day just to make you sin once and especially saved children. And if can't win there on any particular day he will have you arguing fighting cursing hating, and if he can't win there, he will have you jealous feeling betrayed, feeling low about yourself feeling no good, and if he can't win there he will build your confidence up to fight.
Satan doesn't go away once when a person is walking with the spirit and if a person is not careful one of his demons will have a person indoctrinated or anti this that and the other..
Well put !
If people are still srving sin, they cannot serve God.
He loves a good old religious argument. But no matter we can fix Jackson's dodgy scooter, but we need unity
I won't get between you two.
But the real truth is we love Because God loved us and God understands if we fall from grace especially in our training days when Satan's head wreckers can play with your emotions all day
God will not understand why a man breaks his repenentance from sin and serves other masters.
Except to realize he was posing as a believer from the very beginning.

When a person is in a state that is worse than before they got born again that means they are lost once again and now have the knowledge that they should not be living in sin but yet they are doing it anyway.

How can they die again after Christ has made them alive? Only those who never lived (unbelievers) can die the second death.

You don't seem to have much faith in God's power of salvation if you think a mere mortal can undo it.

Personally, yes to which statement?
If I were put on trial for being a Christian, there would be proof of the charge.
No works demonstrates no faith and not faith demonstrates no conversion to Christianity.
I agree...if the works in question are works of love (not of the Law).
So, all ten are summed up in two?
Yes.
Obedience/good works is the fruit of salvation but not the root of it. (Ephesians 2:5-10) One is trying to earn or merit salvation when they try to turn the fruit of salvation into the root of salvation.
I would call it the fruit of conversion, as salvation won't b assured until th day of judgement.
That acts of obedience/good works manifest salvation means that acts of obedience/good works are the visible evidence of salvation but not the cause of salvation itself.
Yes, the evidence of conversion.
Cause of salvation: God’s grace, through faith in Christ, not works.
Not the works of the Law.
But our obedience is also necessary in turning from sin and getting baptized inthe name of Jesus Christ for the remission of past sins.
And still, we must endure faithfully until the end.
Role of works: Evidence, fruit, and evidence of salvation.
Order: Salvation > transformation > acts of obedience/good works.
Again, what you lable salvation, I call conversion...as many fall away between supposed conversion and the day of judgement.
Which does not mean they never sinned at all. You disagree with scripture.
I agree with scripture, in its context.
If no man ever lived without sin, then Jesus is a lie.
ONLY JESUS CHRIST WAS WITHOUT SIN.
He was one of them, for sure.
Since His resurection, all the true belivers are.
Because their belief (James 2:19) falls short of saving belief in Jesus Christ. (Acts 16:31)
Yep.
So, only those who lived sinless, perfect lives 100% of the time (exactly like Jesus Christ) will be saved?
Yep.
As you wrote above, the behavior is the fruit of their conversion.
Bad fruit...no conversion or salvation.
These false prophets/bad trees that bear bad fruit showed they lacked saving belief in Jesus Christ. (Matthew 7:15-23; John 6:40)
I agree.
How is claiming to have no sin or have not sinned and failing to confess our sins represent fear of the Lord?
You really need to rephrase that.
Anyone that fears the Lord will do everything in their power not to offend Him !
Don't you think ?
John says such a person deceives themself and the truth is not in them and they make God a liar and His word is not in them. Suffering from a terminal case of self-righteousness does not represent fear of the Lord.
John is addressing those who walk in darkness, and darkness is the way of the wicked.
Those walkig in the light cannot commit sin, as the light is God !
Saints are not classified as sinners because of the blood of Christ and not sinless perfection.
Both, actually.
The fruit determines the Progenitor.
Sinners are classified as unbelievers who do not know God. Saints are classified as believers who know God.
I agree.
What do you believe John meant by "keep" His commandments and which commandments?
Both of them...love God, and love your neighbor.
I'm arguing against sinless perfection (1 John 1:8-10) and self-righteousness and not obedience to God. Big difference.
I am arguing for obedience (1 John 1:7 2;3-4), to the One who saved us.
What is the difference between sinless behavior, and obedience to God ?

You are sounding more and more like the Pharisee in the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector. Luke 18:9 - Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others/treated others with contempt/looked down on others: 10 Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ 13 And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Are you going to be like the tax collector, and repent of sin, and live an obedient live from now on ?
I hope so.

You asked "How long have you been repentant; a non-sinner ?"
I said right when I got born again.

Are you looking for a detailed essay of the entire experience?
The Lord taught me from the begging that playing with sin was not going to work for Him.
I just wanted to know if it had been weeks, or months, or how many years.
Next month, I will start my 19th year without sin.

The tax collector said, "have mercy on me a sinner" and did not claim sinless perfection. Self-righteousness is not obedience. It truly amazes me how everything that I explain to you just continues to go right over your head. :(

I think your very much mistaken about me, and your lack of compassion here and betrayal towards God's word is evident, There are numerous scriptures, from God centred around understanding are frailty and the spiritual warfare we go through, and how we can stumble when led astray. And when it comes to having a relationship with satan, that's not something I ask for, so why make fun of that and make out I'm having relationship with satan ? Gods children all suffer spirit warfare that's not welcome. Obviously you think your perfect on that front I bet

However your response is to see that as something I welcome, this shows your mean nature, and one that's doesn't care that much.

You twist my words to make out I ment something else to when i never.
Mathew 26:41 mark 14:38 both tell us how the spirit is willing but human nature can be overcome by spiritual wicked forces, again that's not something we welcome.

And it again that can be something a new believer can struggle with, as Jesus is addressing this to believers.

Keep putting on a show but God won't be mocked, eventually he will no longer here you if your not saved, coz I doubt you are saved

Freed18,
you are repeating yourself again, and in addition, flip-flopping your position. You are trying to weave my words regarding justification into your own conditional belief system. When (if) your foundational point of view completely changes, then post.

Yes, that portion of scripture is dealing with a person's ministry works in this life where if all the things did for the Lord failed that does not disqualify them from entering God's Kingdom. Other scriptures tell us there are things that can and will disqualify people from entering His Kingdom.

So not everyone works for the Lord? Furthermore, those who are given greater responsibility can produce fruitless works yet still be saved but those who have less responsibility are held to a greater punishment? That does not make a whole lot of sense to me.

Correct and if one walks after the flesh they are in sin and are separated from the Lord because they have turned from Him having denied Him in order to walk after the flesh which is living in sin.

How can they be separated if they are in Christ and Christ is in them? Do they have authority over Christ so as to tell Him where He must reside? They are out of fellowship to be sure but they cannot undo the adoption that the Father has entered them into.

Considering, in the seven letters to the churches in Revelation not once those who were not walking after the Spirit are threatened with the lake of fire, you would think something as important as loss of one's salvation from death would be high on Christ's mind and most important to make clear.

Honestly, I think you are like a lot of people who fail to recognise the difference between salvation from death which, is permanent and assured, from salvation from our ignorance of evil which, is not assured and can rob us (believers) of a purposeful and peaceful life.

Been nice chatting, have a good one. :)

1 John 1:8 - If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
