How can they die again after Christ has made them alive?

Jesus is the vine and those no longer attached to the vine are no longer alive unto Him.

Read John 15 and see where Jesus tells us Jesus is the vine and the vine belongs to the Father and those that do not abide in Jesus baring fruit the Father cuts off the vine.

You don't seem to have much faith in God's power of salvation if you think a mere mortal can undo it.

I have faith in what God teaches in His Word and no faith in the carnal religious teachings of men.

So not everyone works for the Lord? Furthermore, those who are given greater responsibility can produce fruitless works yet still be saved but those who have less responsibility are held to a greater punishment? That does not make a whole lot of sense to me.

If you'd like to join those who think Christians can live in sin and still be saved then have at it.

How can they be separated if they are in Christ and Christ is in them?

2 Timothy 2:12 - If we deny Him, He also will deny us

I think you are like a lot of people who fail to recognise the difference between salvation from death which, is permanent

Only the gnostics claim they never sinned.
They'll say their body did some sin but they themselves had nothing to do with that.
John is not talking about Gnostics; he is talking about people like the Pharisees. These are the kinds of people who would say they never sinned or that they don't have sin in them. There are people like that today.

And the gnostics did the same, claiming they have never sinned.
So when someone is cleansed of all unrighteousness, you think they still have sin in them?

Seems like it ought to be at least a few minutes before they sin again since so many people think it's no possible to walk live in sin being a sinner that sins all the time claiming they just can't help themselves but to sin all the time everywhere they go.

Please clarify

Do we have eternal life or the narrow road leads to life?

Do we have eternal salvation now or eternal life? (the life of grace)

Can we lose salvation?

Can we lose grace?

Thks
We have eternal life. Salvation is eternal life.........Never perish. WIDE open for all.

The narrow way of life is growing in His Grace and knowledge. Few find it.

HENCE, believers who think we can lose salvation or were never really saved........Few find the abundant life we can have RIGHT now.

You never understand do you. I don't think Christians can live in sin, that's the point. God deals with them severely if they try. They either repent or the Lord takes them home early so as not to continue disgracing His name. I can assure you, anyone who says they believe, live in sin and is having a "good life" (in their estimation) is not a true believer. Matt.7:23

How can one believe in the Gospel and deny Christ at the same time? You either believe the Gospel which, is the power of God unto salvation or you don't. Rom.1:16

If you do, you are saved from death, your sin has been nailed to the Cross and as it also says, if you are faithless, He remains faithful. His word of salvation from death is assured to all those who believe in Him even when you don't understand all the better things that belong to salvation Heb.6:9 and get it all wrong.

2Tim.2:13
if we are faithless, he remains faithful

I'm not continuing this conversation as it just ends up the same old story. You can't keep making God a liar by saying He can't maintain the salvation He gives you because you sin. Your sin did not stop Him giving you salvation (thanks be to Christ), it will not stop Him maintaining it.

Have a nice day. :)

1 John 1:8 - If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Thanks mailman there's only so long a person can mock God, but I don't think he cares he thinks he right about everything.

Human frailty is in our human nature and the spirit is willing and the spirit can overcome our flesh, but our flesh will be frail and vulnerable until that day.

Obedience is also in renewing our mind daily, to rid our mind of fragility, and to once again have a strong mind like Christ.

But we don't literally have the mind of Christ

Excellent way of putting it, I love that concept, your sin did not stop God from giving you salvation.

I felt really reassured by that sentiment, especially when there arguing sin can remove our salvation, well said mate love that.
