ScooterJackson aka JayWalker aka HigherGospel aka DallasMan aka Stan_the_Man aka JimmyTheLock. His MO always gives him away.

A while back in Singles, we had the pleasure of knowing him as StandUp.

Some people there referred to him as StanDerp.

The last few renditions, he's been showing up in the Singles Forum first, with some of the long-standing members recognizing him early on, but then works his way over to the Bible Discussion Forum.

I'm pretty sure he's doing this because his latest reincarnations seem to have gotten longer runs that way.

Maybe he's stalling for time while working on coming up with another name for his next rendition.

He never stays away for very long.

One suggestion for a new avatar name for him is, "I'll be back." He could even include a picture of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Lol!

In this case, it would be Arnold Schnooze-en-negger because all the good people who recognize him are already yawning when he shows up. 😪🥱💤

Anyway...

Sorry -- didn't mean to interrupt. I'm starting to feel like we should sound some kind of alarm for the BDF as soon as he shows up in Singles.

We try to get him shut down early at his first appearances, but alas -- once again, the contagion leaked.

We tried our best.

Many thanks to you good folks for your diligent watch. :)

I agree as Arnold is to much of a compliment for him, as when it comes to being bad to the bone, arnold is champion 🥳

We have eternal life. Salvation is eternal life.........Never perish. WIDE open for all.

The narrow way of life is growing in His Grace and knowledge. Few find it.

HENCE, believers who think we can lose salvation or were never really saved........Few find the abundant life we can have RIGHT now.
We don't have eternal salvation!

We have the life of grace with the promise of salvation!

We have grace!

Jn 1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

Grace can be lost!

Eph 5:2-6 children of disobedience shall not inherit the kingdom of God
gal 5:1-4 fallen from grace
gal 5:19-21 shall not inherit the kingdom of God
gal 6:7-8 sow and reap
1 cor 6:9-10 & 15-20 shall not inherit the kingdom of God
1 tim 5:12 lost faith
Hebrews 6:4-6 fall away
rev 21:8 sin buys the lake of fire
rev 21:27 sin keeps us out of heaven
rom 8:1 gace lost by sin
gal 5:4 can fall from grace
1 cor 15:10 can have grace in vain
2 cor 4:7 treasure (grace) in earthen vessels
1 Jn 3:15 no life (grace)
Jn 15:5 apart from Christ? NOTHING!
2 Peter 1:10 diligence to make your calling and election sure
Luke 15:24 my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.

We fall in sin!

We stand in grace!

Romans 5:2

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Stand in grace not salvation)

Thks

Our salvation is solely reliant on the Lord God, the receiving of it, the maintaining of it and the finalizing of it for by grace we are saved through faith and faith is not biblical, saving faith if it is not grounded in and upon the word. We are not saved if we have no faith and we cannot have faith apart from the Word.

The Word is our salvation and we (believers) are not our own anymore, 1Cor.6:20 & 7:23 we are the property of the Lord God and no-one can tell Him what to do with His possession.
We do not have salvation, we have grace with the promise of salvation!

We have by the initial grace of justification union with God and His saints thru Christ that empowers our actions with grace unto eternal salvation!

Jn 1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

We fall in sin and are separated from God!

We stand in grace!

Romans 5:2

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Stand in grace not salvation)

I agree that we stand in grace, but I don't think Scripture separates grace and salvation the way you're suggesting.
Romans 5:2 says we stand in grace, but Paul also says: "By grace ye are saved through faith" (Eph. 2:8).
The warning passages you cite are real, and they shouldn't be explained away.
The question is whether they teach that every sin immediately removes a believer from salvation, or whether they warn against apostasy, unbelief, and a life of persistent rebellion.
After all, the same New Testament says: "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus" (Rom. 8:1)
and: "If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father" (1 John 2:1).
So I don't think the issue is grace versus salvation.
It's, believers stand in grace, persevere in faith, heed the warnings, and when they stumble, they are pointed back to Christ, not away from Him.

We do not have salvation,

We do not have salvation,

We don't have eternal salvation!

We don't have eternal salvation!
Oh really 😯
1 john 5:13
These things I have written unto you that believe in the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe in the name of the Son of God.

Honestly stop pretending to be Catholic, you've already proven you don't know the first about Catholicism,

And please change the record.

We don't have eternal salvation!
1 John 5:13 -I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. (1 John 1:2-4)

Seems the loss of salvation/not really saved crowd do not believe THESE THINGS.

grace can not be earned my friend.

If your trying to earn your salvation. good luck

the wage of sin is death, Not good works.

The gift of God is life. because good works cannot cover the wage of sin which is death

I do understand

Grace is from the greek Charis, from where we get our word Charity.''

Charity is a bad word to most people. How dare you think I need charity. its why they reject grace. because in reality that is what it is.

we must become poor in spirit.. If we think we can in some part do something to gain Gods favor. qwe will never recieve Cherity (grace)
I Agree that grace and charity are referring to the life of God in Christ, and that He shares with us.

Jn 1:16 grace
1 cor 13:2 charity

1 John 4:8
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Sin offends the love of God and violates His commandments causing loss of grace and life

Thks

you replace works of the law with your own works.

your incuring debt not grace.

turn to God. become poor in spirit. be like the tax collector. reject the phariseeic doctrine you hold on to.
Our own works would be dead works!

Jn 15:5 apart from Christ? Nothing
Heb 6:1 repent from dead works

We have by the initial grace of justification union with God and His saints thru Christ that empowers our actions with grace unto eternal salvation!

Phil 4:13 in Christ? All things!

On with living works begun in by grace, finished in grace!

AMEN?

I will go with most of what your saying, but if it was just as simple as putting it into a requirement, I believe everyone would be going to heaven, for most part I wish that could be true, but I believe a person confessing is more fitting after being enabled by the father.

Not by my own account but from scripture.

The long old justification arguments have there points of view on both sides, but two people can admit the same thing one be unsure and not get saved. Both have admitted in a fallen state,. So the idea it's not fair to judge someone in fallen state, is my main belief for not completely believing your stance here, but I do understand it. Especially the second part, I like that very much mate
Actually, carbunculus, you have it backwards.
Per Scripture, if it were only up to God everyone would be going to heaven (1Tim. 2:3-4), because God loves everyone (John 3:16),
but divine enabling and love/calling does not force folks to confess against their will, as Jesus indicated (Matt. 23:37, 13:14-15).

How do you like that, pardner?

Grace isn't a material, where you start of with a little bit grace in your cup, like say a little bit wine in your cup, and get a little bit more poured in every now and then or have some removed every now and then. Neither should you see Grace as a super natural entity that's infused into the soul on the condition of sanctifying grace.

But growing in grace really is growing in the favour already provided, and really you could get excited about that and think this grace is sanctifying or you will get an increase. But honestly such ideas gave birth to people paying money to get saved.

You don't have to continually keep being sanctified with sanctifying grace. it makes no sense that the initial grace which is sufficient for you upon baptism as written in the Bible, my grace is sufficient for you,

The idea you grow is good but that idea doesn't have to go as far fetched as sanctifying grace that you must maintain through performing works to have an increase in grace and grow in sanctification.

God changes you. By keeping your most inner being protected which was already good your being just needed saving.

Again your response is just an idea that can fit your reasoning, but it's mainly self reasoning.
Isn't that what responses are ?
And again your self reasoning resonates very well with all the excuses as to why eternal security is seen as lie, and why people are all seen as liars and sinners who believe in eternal security.
If one sins, they are a sinner.
Do you disagree with that ?
Your reasoning also resonates well with people who actually hate children of God, they have excuse after excuse to, and deflection and distortion of the truth mastered.
If obedience to God spawns a hateful reply, I say, bring it on.
Because that's the way these people go, which is they master the art of self glorification and give glory to God for it, with there must be right ideas.
Who are "these people" ?
To suggest that human frailty is less frail before the cross isn accurate, and I see your reasoning, but how do you fit your reasoning into well ok if that's case, then everyone Jesus spoke to before the cross where not saved to, so that would excuse the 12 disciples, and the reasoning is because Jesus hasn't Gone to the cross yet. out of the 12 which included doubting Thomas, there only seems to be one that may not have been saved. Being told when I go I will prepare a place for you, has to believed.
Human frailty ?
Before Jesus died and was raised from the dead, nobody could be baptized into Christ, and into His death, burial, and resurrection...and to be raised with Him to walk in newness of life.
So all those who lived in the OT were forced to walk in and after the "flesh".
Whereas after Jesus' resurrection, we can all walk in and after the Spirit.
Walking in the "flesh" isn't a frailty, but the natural condition of the OT.
Your making just another self reasoning idea, that's all, and all your doing with it, is leaning on it,
Which is another thing self glorifies do, and somehow they believe there glorifying God by leaning on an idea, whilst disregarding 100s of facts,
Do you have anything to add to the OP, or am I your target now ?
And with your ideas your also denying instructions in his word to not lean on your understanding.
Did I say that what I espouse was my idea ?
Scripture is full of verses exhorting perfect obedience to God.
I suggest you stop pushing your luck, and stop leaving provocative statements, because the only way human frailty can be sin free is to be free of condemnation each day by being grounded in the word. Those who are in Christ are free from condemnation, by the renewing of your mind
Amen, and I am glad you realize that.
Freedom from condemnation starts with a real turn from sin/repentance from sin.
Playing games like this is provoking responses but I sense you know that.
Forums are a means of exchanging ideas.
Mind you, you could be saved and still speak like this,
My salvation won't be assured until I find that my name is in the book of life.
That day will be the earth's last day.
as it could be human frailty that wants to self destruct reject and after being close to purity, as in the indwelling of the spirit as in the seed the light and the word living in the heart, which is causing the flesh as in the human nature as in frailty to reject because of feeling inadequate, leading to denial.
Because human frailty can feal hard done by so easily. Because it can quite easily believe stuff isn't it's fault.
If a man has been born again from God's seed, does the phrase 'human frailty' still really apply ?
But the fallen human nature condition is now a condition called fragility, frailty, where it need the spirit that is willing. That's our saviour Jesus who doesn't lose his sheep.
I am glad I am no longer of the class of humans you refer to.
Turning from sin, and getting born again from God's seed, changes all that !

I believe God wants all to be saved,

I'm not sure what your getting when you say I have it backwards.

Thanks I did like your first initial post.

I believe God wants people to be saved and wishes none would perish, and that when his word says no one can go to the son unless the father enables then, then I see God's glory lighting people up inside. And I see a wonderful enabling grace. Which needs no requirement. I see a enabling grace which will save anyone if they accept the invitation.

You could look at and think that's a requirement and rewrite the whole bible. But no thanks the bible has already been wrote.
