I think I may have just discovered my subliminal reason for persisting in my Sisyphean efforts on these threads.

Seoulsearch, you're a genius!

Thanks for such a high ranking but ask any of my friends and family...

They all tell you, I'm really just your common-variety smart aleck. 😎

(Much to their chagrin.) 😆

Truthfully, the older I get, the more I try to look for the humor in a lot of life's more ridiculous situations, like keyboard warriors on the internet.

Of course, anyone could argue that I'm one of them, but that's part of the appeal -- finding the humor in observing people's various approaches to internet activism! 😎

For sure, keyboard warriors are easy sources for humor.

Especially naively optimistic ones such as myself.

Yes have a sense of humor, life is good.
As Jesus telling us, don't be anxious, it will not add a second to our life. Enjoy today.

It is a contest to see who can type the fastest.
You know how men can get really competitive?
It's like that.

I am not sure who is winning but it seems Lovette has an edge over Rod.

They are both doing it for your attention Seoul. Did you not know that??

She's like Helen in The Iliad.

Just with much lower, Internet-level stakes.

Oh no, not my attention.

I'm old enough to be either one's mother! 😆

I'm pretty sure they're just after my lifetime supply of popcorn. 🤨

You had one eye in the mirror...
As you watched yourself gavotte
And all the guys dreamed that they'd be your partner

I had some dreams
They were clouds in my coffee

I'm so vain...
I probably think this post is about me! 😆

And these days, I take my coffee...
With a side of pills. 😄

No clouds in sight!

Yeah. No worries. It's a pretty obscure book. Only a few people have heard of it.

Wasn't it just made into a movie with Margot Robbie?

I'd never heard of the book or the story until I listened to some reviews, and apparently people didn't like that the movie didn't actually have any spice... or something like that.

Rod did say your a genius
I'm not sure what Lovette said but he doesn't do flattery.
However I expect he will come up with something very soon. I recall he wrote on here that he read Pride and Prejudice, which was a different book

Yeah, came out this year.

It's basically multigenerational ghost story where everyone's miserable and toxic, the weather sucks all the time, and nobody knows how to communicate like a normal human being. (Kinda like the Internet  )

So a movie would be taking too many creative liberties to add "spice" to it.

I was just about to ask if you were describing this thread.

And then I had to remind myself, "No, no, we're talking about something else now, Seoul -- pay attention."

Sorry.

Senior moment!! 👵🏼

That's why it's such a timeless classic. Every generation can relate to it.

I don't think there is a calendar of Hello Kitty and Frenemies

But I do note that Kuromi is not on this calendar with a balloon.
