today is friday, and it is WINDY!!!! little girl and i went to the store to get her a prize since the one in her kid's meal was halloween-related, and we don't celebrate halloween. we told her we would get her something else. she picked out a stuffy mouse ornament lol. she named it booboo. when we left the store, the wind was blowing so hard my hat almost went with it. we were running and screaming going towards the car. what i thought was excitement screams from her was actually fear. after a couple of minutes of comfort, she said she was scared she was going to fly away, too. so i carried her the rest of the time.

Is cream cheese the same as ricotta?

I have a tub of that sitting in my fridge I haven't used yet and the expiry date is soon.
Add a lot of acid and salt, and make it thick enough to slice with a knife but still be kind of spreadable... And you got it.

I am going to make Mac and Cheese for dinner, I have two packets left. I am going to add tinned pinneapple and frozen peas to it. I was supposed to go grocery shopping but only managed to get a litre of milk for my baby (boomer) from the dairy and I'm tired.

I also finished reading a book, started another one, and decided I would play Hello Kitty Island Adventure again. This time Mymelody wants me to build my own house, and her best friend MySweetPiano is coming over to stay.

Sorry if I missed it, but how did the Pineapple Peas Mac 'n' Cheese turn out? :D

Another helicopter just flew by. I need to go out and buy a couple things, but I don't want to because it's windy and hot outside. Might get a new fish for my aquarium too because one died a few weeks ago and it's companion has no one to swim with. The other fish are not the same kind so it's all alone. The fish that died was a striped tetra and was around 5 or 6 years old. I miss him.

How big is your aquarium?

And, freshwater or salt?

Just curious.

Don't feel a need to answer if you don't want to. :)

I love watching aquariums, but I don't think I'd have the motivation to actually own one.

It's just a 10 gallon freshwater tank. I have 2 glow fish (danios), one yellow and one pink, and a red tiger barb tetra. Cleaning only takes about 15 minutes. You just run a suction/siphon along the gravel and scrape off any algae on the glass. Then replace the water that got sucked out. Usually about 20% of the water. The filter cartridge needs changing only about once a month. I've been keeping fish since the early 90s.

I continued to listen to the book of Numbers today and read Isaiah 41. I had a turkey sandwich for lunch. I practiced my putting and went for a walk at a local park. God is my helper. Immanuel is with us during trying times in our life. I'll be praying for you tourist, as the Lord Jesus walks with you in this difficult time of your life.

(KJV Isaiah 41:10) "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

(KJV Psalm 18:2) "The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower."

(KJV Hebrews 13:6) "So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."

It sounds like you have a very fulfilling day!!

Turkey sandwich for the win. :) I have family members who would be envious of your put practice, too!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

I'm sure that your words, prayers, and these beautiful reminders (passages) of God's steady love are comforting not just to @tourist, but many others here as well.

May God bless you.

Good morning!!

And on today's EXCITING agenda...

Grocery shopping.

I have a CC friend who gave shared a recipe for a fabulous chicken noodle soup (it uses a splash of soy sauce as it's literal secret sauce,) and I am HOOKED.

Forget Christmas lists, I'm "making a list" for more chicken noodle soup.

The best part is that it's healthy and can be adjusted for taking to my diabetic loved ones (cutting down or eliminating the noodles.)

This friend now has me addicted to chicken noodle soup!!! I'm currently out -- and I'm feeling antsy.

What kinds of things (pets, activities, foods, electronics, games, etc.) have YOUR friends and family got you addicted to?

(Family-friendly answers, please!) :)

Tasty, although some of the powdered cheese mix went everywhere when I tore open the packet. I will use scissors next time.

Last night I had mussels and angel hair pasta for dinner, with some real grated parmesan cheese this time. It was quicker to make than the easy mac in the microwave.

I'm not sure if I have any addictions ...

How can you be addicted to pets? Dusty is my only cat.
Oh but giraffes. But no my family and friends did not get me addicted to them...

Maybe Karaoke. Went out last night as I have one friend who always does karaoke and asks me to come. We usually sing our own songs as she's older than me and knows the oldies, she also likes country, while I like to mix it up a bit with pop.

I got to sing 3 songs - Hooked on a feeling, How Bizarre, and I think we're alone now
She sang...Hotel California, which goes on forever. Smooth Operator, and choosin' Texas.

And ZT got me onto Smule of course. I think I've now sung 300 songs on it. So yea that one is now an everyday app.

ZT chooses hard ones like....'I will always love you' and 'Angel of the Morning'!! But he's a great singer. Very smooth voice. He ought to be in a boy band.
