He didn't say he never thought about it.. he said he never DID it. I have thought about it more times than I care to admit... yet still have never done it. Even after years and years of dating. Not 1 time. Some of us are stronger than others I guess! By God's grace I will wait until I am married! :)
 
I can wholeheartedly say that my hat is off to those who have been able to maintain their purity in this oversexualised and permissive culture. For those of us who have failed in this area, although we cannot regain our virginity, we can re-commit to, and maintain a life of purity.

For those who say it is not possible or practical to do this in our culture I have one word...BOUNDARIES. It is entirely possible if someone is committed to purity and maintains boundaries that keep them from crossing that line. I will agree that sexual desire is powerful (it is the one sin that scripture specifically tells us to flee the temptation) but it is not impossible with God's help and planning on our part to master even this temptation.

If he is not too much of a nice guy and missed out on chances that he woudlve taken... then kudos to him, because he is a VERY strong guy... Your profile says you're a Christian, yet you're actually making fun of a Christian man who stayed faithful to God by preserving his virginity. And then you go on to say you hope that never happens to you? Curious as to what 'kind' of Christianity you believe in to adopt such a mentality.

I was thinking about asking about that too, but you beat me to it. I'm wondering the same thing here. It doesn't add up.
