I think that cursing goes way beyond
saying bad words. Once you just think about swearing, it's already a sin, so it is much harder to keep our minds and hearts pure than we think it is.
I've always hated swear words and when someone says something bad close to me they instantly apologize: "I'm sorry, Andressa!" This is funny, because I don't even have to say anything for them to do this... hahah I don't understand. Maybe it's just the fact that they don't see me saying such things... it's good to see the whole "being light" thing actually working through me.
Anyway, a few days ago I found myself thinking about a specific swear word a lot, like A LOT. I've never opened my mouth to say it, but several times it just crossed my mind when something bad happened. When I realized, I thought: "wow, it just needs to stop". I prayed and asked for God's help and now it is gone.
But yep, we tend to make up our sins, not just swear words, but everything else, unfortunately.
