Eternally-gratefull, you have it that I made this statement, I did not write this, please correct it.
Where does it say in scripture that they thought He was coming to save them from Rome? Orthodox judaism looks at the prophecies in the Tanak(OT) as two Messiah's, one who will be King and one who will be Saviour. They don't want to believe that they are both one and the same. They felt He was to come and be King right away, when He came to be a servant, they didn't want anything to do with it, therefore this is why they rejected Him, and wanted Him to be crucified. As I said before, He rebuked them for there false commandments they put over men from the talmud and mishna. I encourage you to study this out. Shalom

was announced to come to this world, killed all baby boys cause he was afraid of the true King, God, Jesus Christ, not g_d, not yhvh, not rambam or maimonides, not the jews or edmoites playing g_d..
No the true God does came as a baby child and he was not the military emperor you expected
to lay down the world to the jews but SALVATION FOR ALL MANKIND!! Understand?

I love Christmas time. Its a time when you get to hear songs praising God for His gift of the baby Jesus and people recite to their children the story of the angels proclaiming the birth of the Child. the Messiah. Perhaps He was not born on this date but it is believed that this was the time that Gabriel appeared to Mary and told her of God's plan.
We gather together as a family and exchange tokens of love and remembrance but more than anything we it is spend time together that really matters. The nativity scenes, the Christmas pageants, the hymns that fill the air. I would that we sung Christmas songs praising the birth of Christ all year long.

In my language when you take the word "Christ": out. you are removing him from the holiday
You know. When I was a child my parents always told me that people celebrate Christmas as the bithday of Jesus, but as Christians everyday should be Christmas....we should celebrate his birth every day of the year. Not just ONE day.
So in my house we did the whole Santa and Christmas tree thing, and concentrated on family and love and ending the year with those you love. We didn't celebrate the religous aspect of it much, because I was always taight it is rather wrong to celebrate his birth just one time a year.

When I am texting on my cell phone I type xmas because I am too lazy to type the whole word out.
