Interesting question. lately I have been reading some of the posts on here regarding the 7th day Sabbath of The Lord God.

One of the main arguments that I see given is that it si part of the Old Covenant. well lets take a look at the Covenants.

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Notice that the first promise to save man was given to Adam and eve. remember that covenant means promise. God promised that he would make a way of escape for humanity.

Gen 9:8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
Gen 9:9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;

Noah was then given the promise/Covenant. notice the word establish here, it means to confirm, continue to affirm. In other words it is not new with Noah it is a re-establishment of the old promise.

So God is saying that Noah will be the next person that God will continue the covenant through to all flesh. notice also that both to Adam and Eve the promise was concerning their "seed".

Gen 15:18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

Here again we find Abraham and here the promise is yet again made. and again it is concerning Abraham's seed. This covenant/promise is the same one given from the beginning.

Gen 17:4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
Gen 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
Gen 17:6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
Gen 17:7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

I would like to notice some things here.

1: In verse 7 God says it shall be an everlasting covenant. Everlasting means perpetual, without end, does not stop. it is eternal.

2: who was the eternal Promise/covenant with? Answer: verse 7 again, with thee and Thy seed. so the covenant was with Abraham and his seed not just Abraham. who is His seed? Answer: verse 6 I will make Nations of thee. verse 5: for a Father of Many nations.

clearly here the covenant to Abraham was not just to Abraham but to his seed which was not just Israel but many nations. Some may say well there was Ishmael also who was a nation. but what does the bible tell us the seed of Abraham is?

Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

If we are in Christ then we are the seed of Abraham. thus the covenant given to Abraham is also the covenant given to us through Jesus Christ. we are the seed of Abraham because we are in Jesus and Jesus is the true seed.

by the was notice why the covenant was made with Abraham.

Gen 26:3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;
Gen 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
Gen 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

notice the promise to Isaac is the same "oath" that God gave Abraham. why because Abraham obeyed Gods voice, charge, commandments, statutes and laws.

so far the covenant to Adam and Eve has passed down through humanity to Isaac.

Now lets go down to Moses and Israel.

Exo 2:21 And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.
Exo 2:22 And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.
Exo 2:23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.
Exo 2:24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
Exo 2:25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

notice here that God has pity on his people in slavery to Egypt and verse 24 tells us that God remembered his covenant/promise with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. so now Gods actions in saving Israel has to do with the Same covenant with Abraham.

Listen to what God says to Moses at the burning bush:

Exo 6:4 And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.
Exo 6:5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.

God will Establish, confirm the same covenant/promise with them that he did Abraham. read verse 3.

Exo 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
Exo 19:6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
Exo 19:7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.

now God makes the covenant clear that it is based on obedience to God. same reason we read that Abraham received the Covenant.

Exo 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

notice here that the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant that is eternal in nature. if the covenant is eternal then so is the sign of the covenant. now some may argue, "well it does say Israel"

Rom 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Remember If we follow Christ then we are Abraham seed and we are spiritual Israel.

notice the covenant required blood:

Exo 24:8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.

but this blood was a shadow of the blood of Christ.

So what was the covenant?

Exo 34:28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

the ten commandments are the covenant.

This is why blood was needed. the commandments could not be changed so blood had to be spilt to save us.

now lets take note before we look at the new covenant. the covenant required obedience. obey what? the ten commandments. but because people had broken it in the past there was needed blood of the animals known as the blood of the covenant. this shows the unchangeable nature of the commandments. but the blood of animals was not enough so it foreshadowed the blood of Jesus.

Heb 9:1 Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

first covenant shadow took place in earthly sanctuary

Heb 9:4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

notice again the tables of stone are the covenant. Ten commandments

now here is the problem with the old covenant

Heb 9:7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:
Heb 9:8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
Heb 9:9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

notice what is being said here. that the priestly duties only signified what would happen in the holiest which was not yet manifest. nor was it while the earthly temple was in existence. but was a shadow/figure of the real. in which the sacrifices of the old were not good enough.

Heb 9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Heb 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

here it is Jesus entered the Heavenly tabernacle when? after his death he entered with his own blood. because the blood of animals was not good enough.

So the earthly tabernacle and covenant were shadow of the real and new one in Jesus.

Heb 9:23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
Heb 9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
Heb 9:25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

read whole chapter for more detail. so what is the new covenant?

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

it is Gods laws in our hearts and minds. the ten commandment rewritten on our hearts.

who is the mediator of this covenant?

Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

Jesus is. remember that the new covenant is often misunderstood. the word translated new actually means renewed. not brand new. in other words God established His covenant with us but with the blood of Jesus. which the old foreshadowed.

with every truth God has left an object lesson to teach the same truth. so also with this covenant.

Exo 32:7 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:
Exo 32:8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
Exo 32:9 And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:
Exo 32:10 Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.
Exo 32:11 And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?
Exo 32:12 Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.
Exo 32:13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.
Exo 32:14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
Exo 32:15 And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.
Exo 32:16 And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.

notice that Moses intercedes for Israel he is a type of Christ. why was God going to punish them?
because they broke the commandments/Covenant of God. they broke the first and second commandment.

Exo 32:21 And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them?

notice that the breaking of the commandment is sin. see 1 John 3:4

Exo 32:19 And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.

notice that Moses breaks the tables of the commandments physically in response the the spiritual breaking of the commandments by Israel. notice that the old one/first one is broken by Israel.

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

so where is the new one in this illustration?

Deu 10:1 At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
Deu 10:2 And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
Deu 10:3 And I made an ark of ****tim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.
Deu 10:4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me.

here God writes the same commandments the same covenant but on different stones. it is the shadow fo the new covenant.

Notice:

Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

the law is now written in their hearts. this is the verses that Hebrews quotes from concerning the new covenant.

Remember that the old covenant took place in the earthly sanctuary but we are told it is a copy of the heavenly one where the reality of the covenant plays out. what does John see in heaven in vision?

Rev 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

testament means covenant. and it is in heaven now. John saw it. why was it called the ark of the covenant? because in it was the covenant law the ten commandments.

This is by far a short version of how it all works. but it is clear that the 10 commandments that were givne to Moses are the same laws that Abraham obeyed and the same law of the covenant written on our hearts and in our minds. the covenant with us is the same as Abraham only better. it is with the true blood of Jesus and the true high priest Jesus and in the true sanctuary in heaven. The law is the same it is there also. blessings all.

Covenant
Interesting question. lately I have been reading some of the posts on here regarding the 7th day Sabbath of The Lord God.

So what is the new covenant?
Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

This is by far a short version of how it all works. but it is clear that the 10 commandments that were given to Moses are the same laws that Abraham obeyed and the same law of the covenant written on our hearts and in our minds. the covenant with us is the same as Abraham only better. it is with the true blood of Jesus and the true high priest Jesus and in the true sanctuary in heaven. The law is the same it is there also.

Blessings all.

Gotime....how could you attempt to apply the eternal perpetual covenant from Abraham as something entirely different than what the scripture says it was. It was a dishonest defense in your desire to compel people to hold to your Sabbath "law".

The scriptures tell you PLAINLY what the eternal covenant was...

Genesis 17

7 And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. 8 Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”
9 And God said to Abraham: “As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations. 10 This is My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised; 11 and you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you. 12 He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, every male child in your generations, he who is born in your house or bought with money from any foreigner who is not your descendant. 13 He who is born in your house and he who is bought with your money must be circumcised, and My covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. 14 And the uncircumcised male child, who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant.”

It doesn't get any more clear than simply reading what it says. Did you honestly miss that???

God was going to kill Moses, after God Himself trained Moses in his mission to deliver the children of Israel....because Moses neglected to honor the covenant of circumcision that God established for Abraham and his descendants.

Exd 4:24-26
And it came to pass on the way, at the encampment, that the LORD met him (Moses) and sought to kill him. 25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone and cut off the foreskin of her son and cast [it] at [Moses]' [fn] feet, and said, "Surely you [are] a husband of blood to me!" 26 So He let him go. Then she said, "[You are] a husband of blood!"--because of the circumcision.

Lev 12:1
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2 "Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'If a woman has conceived, and borne a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days; as in the days of her customary impurity she shall be unclean. 3 'And on the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.

Act 7:8
"Then He gave him the covenant of circumcision; and so [Abraham] begot Isaac and circumcised him on the eighth day; and Isaac [begot] Jacob, and Jacob [begot] the twelve patriarchs." - Witness of Stephen the first martyr.

Rom 4:9
"[Does] this blessedness then [come] upon the circumcised [only], or upon the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness. 10 How then was it accounted? While he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised, but while uncircumcised. 11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which [he had while still] uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be imputed to them also, 12 and the father of circumcision to those who not only [are] of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the faith which our father Abraham [had while still] uncircumcised. 13 For the promise that he would be the heir of the world [was] not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith."

Col 2:11
"In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins [fn] of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,"

So, circumcision of the flesh is done away with under the new covenant and so are the 10 commandments.

Exd 34:28
"...And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments."

Galatians 4 Tells you to CAST OUT the covenant from Sinai. We have a New Covenant we are supposed to live by in Jesus from the heavenly Jerusalem.

I believe the Lord will teach each one of us his will, individually, as we walk with him:

But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:33 RSV

You may see it that way but maybe you should read my post again. it is very plain. study it and pray about it instead of just applying your own preconceived Ideas.

It doesn't get any more clear than simply reading what it says. Did you honestly miss that???

A closer examination of this passage would shed a little light on the error you have assumed here. in verse 11 God says that circumcision is a token of the covenant. Token means signal, flag, beacon evidence. etc. thus clearly circumcision is not the covenant itself but rather a sign that there is a covenant between Abraham and God.

so in answer to your question, no I did not miss it. its just not what you are making it out to be.

I like this because you bring up a good point that you seem to have missed. While circumcision is a sign that if not kept was punishable by death. why now neglect the Sabbath sign that is also a sign of the covenant. although it is not only a sign it is actually a part of the covenant. as shown in my post that the ten commandments are the covenant.

Act 7:8
"Then He gave him the covenant of circumcision; and so [Abraham] begot Isaac and circumcised him on the eighth day; and Isaac [begot] Jacob, and Jacob [begot] the twelve patriarchs." - Witness of Stephen the first martyr.

again notice how this story ends:
Act 7:52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
Act 7:53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.

They were supposed to keep the Law but did not. Stephen speaks of the covenant of circumcision yes, but we already know it was just a sign of the covenant and not the covenant itself.

Again I find this interesting. you should get some more scope on what Paul has to say about circumcision.

Rom 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
Rom 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
Rom 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Rom 2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
Rom 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
Rom 2:17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,
Rom 2:18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;
Rom 2:19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,
Rom 2:20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.
Rom 2:21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
Rom 2:22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?
Rom 2:23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?
Rom 2:24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
Rom 2:25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.
Rom 2:26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
Rom 2:27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
Rom 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Notice that Paul says first he makes the point that we should keep the law of God. hmmmm, then verse 25 he tells us that if we break the law then flesh circumcision counts for nothing. why? because the law is the covenant the circumcision is just a sign of the covenant. if you break the covenant then what point does the sign have? none.

now verse 26 he says that those who do not have the physical sign of circumcision yet keep the law are greater because they keep the covenant even though they do not have the sign in their flesh. verse 29 tells us that the heart is circumcised. notice that the new covenant/renewed covenant is the law written on the heart.

Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Co 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

notice the same line of reasoning. the spirit writes the ten commandments on our heart.

Col 2:11
"In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins [fn] of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,"

Ok we know that Circumcision of Christ is in the heart by the Spirit and that the spirit puts the ten commandments in our hearts. what does the verse say? putting of the body of sins of the flesh. what is sin?

1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

therefore if you no longer break the commandments then you have put of the body of sin in Christ.
continue on with your text.

Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

notice that through Christ we are raised from our sinful nature to a new nature. read romans 6 first 5 verses for clarification. and then verse 13 tells us that we are dead to sins and circumcision of the flesh.

from the earlier context we have spoken of, we know that to be dead to sin is to then obey and to be dead to circumcision of the flesh is to be circumcised in the heart.

So, circumcision of the flesh is done away with under the new covenant and so are the 10 commandments.

well now you conclude with an opposite statement from what scripture teaches and you never even showed how you got there?
Exd 34:28
"...And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments."

Notice its the words of the covenant not the sign of the covenant, makes a big difference.

Galatians 4 Tells you to CAST OUT the covenant from Sinai. We have a New Covenant we are supposed to live by in Jesus from the heavenly Jerusalem.

You may want to go study Galatians 4 again. it says no such thing..

anyway clearly you did not study my post out or else you would have not said some of the things you did here. You obviously totally missed the Hebrews quotes and others also. hope you find what you are looking for mate.

blessings.

Next Father, i would ask to be dressed in the gospel armour for this day ahead in this un-fair evil flesh realm; starting first & foremost with that precious peice of armour that if any single solitary one of us were to be judged in the flesh by the law, none and i repeat NONE would be found worthy to stand under this incredible gift & opportunity of your overwhelming grace & mercy, this helmet of salvation.

But through your Covenant made in love, through the families of Abraham, Issiac & Jacob; Affirmed & Confirmed in and through your Son and our Lord, King & Saviour. Jesus The Christ/Yeshua Messiah; that through this Covenant made in love, that we are afforded this incredible gift & opportunity to stand, under this precious piece of armour.

I would ask Father for the chin strap to be snugged up for this day ahead, and i would furthermore request Father, in and through the name of your Son and our Lord, King & Saviours name Jesus The Christ/Yeshua Messiah, and thank-you Father for granting unto me, and for a double portion there-of if it be available to me through The House of Joseph, and all that there is availble to me at this time, of, stength, courage, wisdom, paitence and endurance, to hold onto this precious gift & opportunty, from right here, right now in Holy Communion with you, right on through to that Day of Jacobs Trouble;
Through that 10 day tribulation and right on through the entire tribulation of instead-of-christ; right up to the return of Melchezidek;

And for this child of yours Father; at that moment in time, to be humbley on my knees, trembling with overwhelming joy & excitement at his return; as apposed to the only other way to be, which would be, to be on one's knees, trembling in overwhelming shame & embarrasment.

Thank-you Father for your help in this matter, and please don't let me, let you down, or let myself down Father; as nothing else matters this much to me Father, based on the fact that if i make it; then i will be able to help those on The Lord's Day, that didn't get it this time round :(

When Father? will they understand? that this has very little to do with how we feel, but rather how You feel Father & Why.

Forever in Christ :)

Genesis 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

That was before the 10 commandments. Abraham obeyed Gods voice. Abraham Loved God. That is how Gods law is obeyed, By Love.

Romans 4:13-14

13For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

Inside the Ark of the Covenant are where the Sins of Israel against God are. That is why the High Priest would have to go into the Holy of Holys as an intercessor and sprinkle the blood. That was a shadow of the Lord Jesus.

10 Commandments written on stone - Sin Of Pride in people thinking they could keep Gods Perfect and Holy Law without any help from God at all.
Golden Censer - This held the Manna from God which the people murmured against saying what God has provided for us we do not want.
Aarons budding staff - Sin of Rejecting the High Priest in whom God has Chosen.

Abrahams Faith in God was imputed as Righteousness to him. It is always about the less being blessed by the Greater.

It is never about what the less can and can't do. Only that the less believe in, have faith in, the Greater.

God puts His Law into our hearts and minds. Where does Love reside? In our hearts and minds. God puts His Love into our hearts and minds.

He takes our corrupted heart, our heart of stone, and He replaces it with an incorruptible heart, a heart of flesh filled with His Love.

God Is Love.

Ezekiel 36:25-28
25Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. 28And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

This is God doing for us that which we can't do for ouselves. The less being blessed by the Greater.

Gotime, you were correct about circumcision in the flesh being the sign of the covenant, but it was a required command in order to take part in the covenant- both circumcision of the heart and the flesh were required (Gen. 17:10, 14). The promise was that God would be their God and the land of Canaan would belong to them.

The idea you've presented, that the 10 commandments were given to Adam and Eve and established by God throughout time with particular people/groups. If you look at each circumstance where God establishes a covenant, the idea you presented is not true to what the scriptures were saying: the scriptures identify that between Adam, Noah, Abraham, and Moses, they all had different commands and instructions to keep.

Briefly-
Adam: herbs, seeds, and fruit were given for food, but not meat; Adam was supposed to tend the garden with no sabbath command given; was commanded to have dominion over the earth; was commanded to multiply- a curses of death was apart of breaking the agreement to not eat from the tree. Other cruses came from breaking the agreement as well, and conditional promise of redemption followed given that Eve had children (obeying the command to multiply) (Gen. 1-3).

Some of the commands under the covenant from God to Adam were the same for Noah, but some of them were different...

Noah: Was told he was aloud to eat everything including meat; was given specific instructions about eating meat; was commanded to have dominion and have children; no sabbath command was given; was commanded not to murder with a curse or punishment intact; a non-conditional covenant to never destroy the earth with a flood was established (Gen. 9).

Some of the commands under the covenant from God to Noah were the same for Abraham, but some were different...

Abraham: No specific commands were given other than obeying the Lord's voice to go to the land of Canaan, have children, sacrifice/kill his son Isaac, and circumcise all under his house and to practice this for all his descendants to partake in the covenant. No sabbath command was given; The covenant dealt with being circumcised in heart and flesh to take part in the promise of the land and God being apart of their live. Although both his sons Isaac and Ishmael were circumcised to take part in the covenant- Ishmael, son of the Egyptian bondwoman was "cast out", and Isaac in whom Abraham's seed was called remained with Abraham.

Some of the commands under the covenant from God to Abraham were the same for Moses, but some were different...

Moses: In the covenant with Moses and the children of Israel, the 10 commandments and the book of the covenant contained new commands that others did not have before them. One of them being observance of the Sabbath- no such command existed before Moses.
Lev 26:46
"These [are] the statutes and judgments and laws which the LORD made between Himself and the children of Israel on Mount Sinai by the hand of Moses."

Under different covenants throughout the generations the commands, statutes, and judgements were NOT the same.

Now let's keep moving...

Some of the commands under the covenant from God to Moses were the same for Jesus, but some were different...

Jesus fulfilled the law under the covenant established through Moses, and established a new covenant...this new covenant in Jesus has some commands that are the same, but some that are different.

Here's what the new covenant is...

Isaiah 49:6, 8
"... I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, That You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.'...8...I will preserve You and give You As a covenant to the people, To restore the earth..."

The new covenant is Jesus Himself- the mediator between man and God.

He has His own law He will be bringing that comes from the Lord, but HE will be the covenant (Isaiah 42:1, 4, 6)

Jer 31:31-32
"Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah--32 "not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day [that] I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, [fn] says the LORD.

The new covenant IS Jesus....NOT the 10 commandments nor the book of the law with it.

Jesus was coming with His own law, which came from the Father (Isa. 42:1,4,6), which was NOT the 10 commandments nor the book of the covenant given at Sinai (the covenant made with their fathers, which they broke- Jer. 31:31-32"). Jesus is the new covenant with His own law He established after He fulfilled the covenant that was established from Sinai.

Concerning the word "new" used in Jer. 31 and Matt. 26:28- the word used here in the hebrew and the greek is "new"....the word used for "renew" is a different word than the one used in the text.

Jer 31:31 "Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah--
Mat 26:28 "For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins."

The words "renew" and "new" are different hebrew words- look them up. The word used here is NOT "renewed" covenant. It is "NEW covenant". Look it up in the Hebrew and in the Greek when the writer of Hebrews translated. BOTH times the word used here is "NEW" and not "renewed".

Jesus fulfilled the law of the covenant before him and established a new law, and that new law under Jesus is what we are called to live by.

Living Christ is not living the covenant from Sinai, although some things might look or be similar from it, but it is not the same thing.

Adam had different commands than Noah, who had different commands than Abraham, who had different commands than Moses, who had different commands than Jesus.

Once a new covenant was established, there were new practices that were involved under that covenant that were different than the previous covenant established.

Fulfill the law of Christ (Gal. 6:2), which is NOT the 10 commandments ("not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers..."- Jer. 31:32").

Guys the ten commandments are the character of God. they are from eternity to eternity. they are as unchangeable as God. they are the foundation of Gods government.

They point out sin.
They point out righteousness.

they can not be kept unless divine love is in the heart. Love fulfils the law, it does not replace the law.

The Law and love are one. you can not separate them. You can not say we love and then not keep the commandments and you can not keep the commandments without love.

Jesus died because the law could not be changed or reduced. if it could he would not have had to die.

If when I am a slave to sin i break the law then if Jesus saved me then should I not now keep the law. being that I am free from slavery.

If God is all powerful can he not cause me to keep his law?

Paul says the law is holy, spiritual and good and ordained for life. he is speaking of the Ten commandments which he quotes from. rom 7

rom 2 Paul says that those who keep the ten commandments are the true followers of God and those who do not are not of God. He says that those who are uncircumcised but keep the law are actually circumcised and those who are circumcised in the flesh but keep not the law are uncircumcised in the heart.

Paul says that because of Faith we should hold up and promote the ten commandments.

James says we will be judged according to them. remember to see the difference between saved and judged.

We are saved by the blood of Jesus as a Free gift. we are judged by our fruit. do we obey Gods law or not.

does one truly follow God when they say the 10 commandments are done away with?

"If you love me Keep my commandments"

What commandments? read matt 5 and see what commandments Jesus upheld. even better read the whole Gospel and see which commandments Jesus taught. Jesus upheld the Ten commandments.

Isaiah 42 tells us that the messiah would magnify the law and make it honourable.

If the law was such a burden in the old testament then why did David constantly speak about the the law as if it was the most precious thing he ever knew. Ps 119, 19 and many others.

Why does John say in 2 John that the commandment given from God is to love one another and then he said that love is keeping Gods commandments.

John knew they were one and the same.

Now if a man says I have the love of God in me and then lies, or steals or breaks the Sabbath knowingly.

then he is either deceived or a liar and not in the light that is of Christ.

Or if he keeps 9 of the commandments and then dishonours His mother or Father then he is guilty of breaking them all.

Let me ask those who call themselves Christians. if we are free from sin/breaking the law 1John 3:4. then why should we walk any longer in sin?

And If we do no longer walk in sin then are we not then keepers of the law.

Let me make this real simple.

The law points out sin.
then we repent which means in the power of God we turn away from sin.
The blood of Jesus cleanses us from our sin which we repent of.
Now we are free from sin which is breaking the law.

So now if we are free from sin and sin is breaking the law then we are free from breaking the law.

That leaves obedience to the law. so if you find yourself fighting against Gods holy Law then you are fighting against freedom in Christ and are actually preaching bondage to sin.

let no man deceive you in this friends

He who practices righteousness is righteous even as Jesus is righteous.
whoever has Jesus in their hearts can not sin because God is with Him and greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world.

I uphold the law because through it I became aware of my sin. and thus I was led to Jesus for forgiveness and repentance. Now the law I hold even higher because now it represents my freedom from sin through the precious blood of Jesus.

God will punish the lawless ones in the last day. and it is upon us. Satan is the lawless one and those who teach to ignore Gods law are with him and his children.

Those who obey Gods law are the ones who have Christ in their hearts. here are they who keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus.

Blessed are they who DO his commandments. for they will have right to the tree of life and to enter into the gates of the city.

but woe to the one who breaks Gods law and teaches other men to do so. His end will come.

There for friends. chose you this day who you will serve. sin which leads to death or obedience which leads to righteousness.

If God be God then follow and obey Him.

Again I urge you friends do not be deceived for many will say Lord, Lord but He will say in return I do not Know you. depart from me you who break my laws.

Take head to these words lest you come to that day and find yourself on the side of the enemy. pray search. God is able to save us if we resist the devil and draw close to our God.

Verse 16 is not a reference to the 10 commandments. Look at the context...

Hebrews 8:13
In that He says, "A new [covenant]," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

The New Covenant is "not according to the covenant I made with their fathers" (Heb. 8:9)...which could also be said, not according to the 10 commandments, because the 10 alone could stand as the covenant.

The Law is written upon our hearts and lived out in the life. Jesus fulfilled the Law so the 10 commandments reveals the character of Christ. The gospels speaking of the life of Christ is also revealing what it is like to keep God's Law. So having the 10 commandments written upon our hearts is about becoming like Christ.

Hebrews already shows that "the law" being referenced is not the 10 commandments, so that's not what's being written on anyone's heart.

"The law" being spoken of is "the law" concerning the new covenant. The character of Christ is not the 10 commandments, it is something far greater than that. The character of Christ is love.

Hbr 8:6
"...He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises."

Gen 9:8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
Gen 9:9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;

Gen 26:3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;
Gen 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

Heb 9:4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

notice again the tables of stone are the covenant.

Heb 9:9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

notice what is being said here. that the priestly duties only signified what would happen in the holiest which was not yet manifest. nor was it while the earthly temple was in existence. but was a shadow/figure of the real. in which the sacrifices of the old were not good enough.

Heb 9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

Heb 9:25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

read whole chapter for more detail. so what is the new covenant?

I have a Bible, I really don't need it reprinted on this site it makes the threads to long and boring. Can't you make your point without quoting the whole Bible??

Y'Shua gave advice on every single commandment, worded differently, yet not in a single dissertation.
I cannot dig them all up right now.
But they actually INCREASE our responsibility on these ideas.
So the "new" covenant is actually more convicting than the "old,"
because as stated, they are to be written in the heart as a requirement instead of previous
physical obedience only.

Example:
Don't murder : Hate in the heart is guilty
No adultry : Adultry in heart is guilty
Keep shabbot : Mastery of shabbot (get silly rules out of it and just chill with homies)
Don't covet : Give it all away
Etc.
It's done for every one of them in one place or another.
So if I want to argue against the commandments, I need to take it up with the guy
who manifested every one of them and more, not only in flesh, but in mind and spirit also.

And if I say torah is moot, the ONLY thing I'm really saying is "do as you will, especially if you got dunked"

My personal testimony is this:
My life was garbage until I embraced ALL TEN instructions.
The improvement was manifested within days.
They are a package deal ONLY.
Keep'em if you dare! :p

(btw, the last one on my list was shabbot)

CHRIST IS OF NO EFFECT TO YOU!!

RENEWED COVENANT? You raise the Blood of Jesus slightly above animals?

You are preaching a ministry of death.

ANATHEMA!

Galatians 3
Faith Brings Righteousness

1You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified? 2This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? 3Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? 4Did you suffer so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? 5So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?

6Even so Abraham BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS RECKONED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS. 7Therefore, be sure that it is those who are of faith who are sons of Abraham. 8The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “ALL THE NATIONS WILL BE BLESSED IN YOU.” 9So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer.

10For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO DOES NOT ABIDE BY ALL THINGS WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF THE LAW, TO PERFORM THEM.” 11Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, “THE RIGHTEOUS MAN SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.” 12However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, “HE WHO PRACTICES THEM SHALL LIVE BY THEM.” 13Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE”— 14in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Intent of the Law

15Brethren, I speak in terms of human relations: even though it is only a man’s covenant, yet when it has been ratified, no one sets it aside or adds conditions to it. 16Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as referring to many, but rather to one, “And to your seed,” that is, Christ. 17What I am saying is this: the Law, which came four hundred and thirty years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise. 18For if the inheritance is based on law, it is no longer based on a promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise.

19Why the Law then? It was added because of transgressions, having been ordained through angels by the agency of a mediator, until the seed would come to whom the promise had been made. 20Now a mediator is not for one party only; whereas God is only one. 21Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? May it never be! For if a law had been given which was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law. 22But the Scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

23But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed. 24Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. 25But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. 26For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.

2 Corinthians 3
Ministers of a New Covenant

1Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some, letters of commendation to you or from you? 2You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; 3being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

4Such confidence we have through Christ toward God. 5Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, 6who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

7But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was, 8how will the ministry of the Spirit fail to be even more with glory? 9For if the ministry of condemnation has glory, much more does the ministry of righteousness abound in glory. 10For indeed what had glory, in this case has no glory because of the glory that surpasses it. 11For if that which fades away was with glory, much more that which remains is in glory.

12Therefore having such a hope, we use great boldness in our speech, 13and are not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face so that the sons of Israel would not look intently at the end of what was fading away. 14But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ. 15But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; 16but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
