I have not read so far how everyone is speaking scripturally, yet no one tried to glue it all together. If you all are speaking from the Word, why not then as brothers work together to know how it all works together............

"lets all sin!!!!!!"

how many of these threads do we need?

if people actually took the time to listen to one another you would realize most of you are agreeing with each other.

do you just like to be contentious and bash people who go to church?

so you went to one of the fake ones, find a real one and stop being so bitter.

ah so i should stop seeking conversation with my brothers and sisters about false teaching, alow any mislead followers to just fall on my watch. NO sorry my brothers and sisters, my duty to seek truth and speak truth

Indeed, no one can walk in the Light and the darkness at the same. We as humans can only have one master, be it God, Satan, or flesh.

If you are in Christ and sinning, then you are not being led the Spirit, but are in rebellion towards Him.

Now, they who are in darkness and are being called and humbled by God to come to the Light, will have to repent of their sins before there is grace from the Atonement. Where there is no willingness to atone for your sins, then there is no atonement for you.

They of uis who return to darkness will likewise have to be humbled before receiving grace. But then again, the camel and the eye of the needle comes to mind.

Indeed, salvation can be lost by the choice of whom you will follow. The Spirit towards the Light, Satan towrds the darkness, the flesh towards death.
Yes a fair/small part of what i see but yes! and my point is many do not see the true depth of what is required of us. they dont understand, or are being mislead. and many of our brothers and do not understand and think things like looking at a womans but/boobs, being racist, gay bashing, gossip, flirting, porn, drugs, violent outbursts of wrath, spending all there time doing what they want and not what God calls us to do. just because we are saved does not mean things like this will not send use to hell. also many do not seem to understand how hard we must fight against it.

Can't you see by these verses that it is God who saved us first, before we repented? It clearly says that Christ died for us while we were still sinners, and that we were reconciled to God while still enemies to God. This is the true order of things, my friend. Give all glory to God and stop trusting in anything that you have done to save yourself.
God bless.

Tom
God has all the glory, and we are to glorify God and spread His word. a servant is to serve. we are reconciled to God and saved by His grace, but what we do after that has an effect on what happens to us. are we to still be conform to the world, love the things in the wrold and seek them, spending all our time (if any) on them with our back to God now that we are saved? what really has changed in us now that we are saved? now that we are the new creation, what has changed in the way we act, what we seek, what we think? if nothing has changed one should worry. and ask if they will stand before our Lord as he tells us
Luke6:46 46 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?

if you say so. personally that stuff doesn't interest me...

boobs are for feeding babies, being racist is just ignorant, gay bashing is a waste of time, gossip is hurtful, flirting can be harmless unless there is lust involved, don't get why people would look at porn (or sports either), drugs ruin lives, wrath hurts the person who does it, being selfish?

well I spend most of my time on here talking to people about the Bible. Its what I want and what God calls me to do, so I don't get the conflict.

Though I don't engage in those things or have any desire to engage in them, I think its extreme to judge others who do and condemn them to hell. For God tells us this:

Romans 14:4
Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.

Yes I do agree that people should fight against temptation and sin and they should help others overcome and resist.

I just don't think bashing them over the head with how horrible they are is the answer. We are to meditate on what is GOOD and what God WANTS us to DO. God convicts and corrects and brings people to godly sorrow. sometimes He uses people to do it. However BLANKET statements over the internet... hmmm ...

so I've got two choices: go to sleep and not finish my chores tonight, or wait for the laundry to be done and just forget about sleep for another couple hours, which do you think I should do?

ok I'll bite... what has changed in your life since God saved you by His grace?

Not one word of what you just said do I disagree with. But like any good debater, find common ground, especially with a brother/sister. Like someone said, you can catch more flies with honey than with vintager.

so what do you think upon now VII ?

do you follow God's commandments? do you read the Bible? do you do these things?

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Ephesians 5:18-22
New King James Version (NKJV)
18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God.[a]

do you know how all the Law and prophets hang upon two commandments to LOVE God and LOVE your neighbor?

or do you search for the specks?
ah so any of the notes to corinth, ephisus and anyother must be looking for the speck and not trying to guide fellos brothers as we are told to discern and rebuke.

lets see what do i do, study the bible about 2-6 hours a day (not just read), pray in a closed room on my knees (how long is private!!), talk to fellow followers on here to get a better understanding and help others get a better understanding. that is when i do not have to go over and help the in-laws. What i do for charity i do in the dark as my Lord commands. I hide from the left hand what I do with my right. that’s all i do. i keep my eyes to the ground when i am out to avoid feeding into a lustful eye, i stick a nickel in my mouth when i get angry in hopes to bridle my tongue. I will not bother asking you your schedule because it is not my business.

No truly saved person will blatantly live in sin, that is impossible if we are united with Christ in His death.
You have been given advice from some bad people who don't understand anything of the true grace of God.
God bless.

Tom
then if thats the case i fear many that think they are saved are just fooling themself.i never thought i was saved before. and even now i do not say when i die i am going to heaven, i just try to use the time i have to serve my master.

lol it doesn't really matter if I told you my schedule; it changes by the day.

but for you to discern and rebuke you have to first get to know the people and direct your rebuke to a certain person who really needs it or because God tells you to do it.

first you need to stop putting words in my mouth. I asked a bunch of questions. I tend to do that.

you can guide fellow brothers all you like but HOW can you guide them if they do not respect or listen to you?

It seems legalistic the way you set up rules and expectations upon others when you don't know what God has commanded them to do. <wait that might be another poster.. getting late at night everyone's words are starting to blur sorry>

I watch tv and play video games because it brings joy to my family and I like seeing them happy.

My kids love listening to me read them the BIble but I'm not going to FORCE it upon them because then it becomes WORK and not because it brings them JOY and happiness to read God's word.

I think its more important to follow the SPIRIT of God then the Letter of the law.

I haven't really read that many of your post but others have me concerned that people do things out of DUTY and not overflowing Love that is like a living water that flows from the heart.

anyway the laundry stop be back later...

you keep claiming i am judging or condeming, so is that why we do not rebuke or discern things anymore because it is judging. are we not suposed to look at things and discern if it offends our Father or not

i take it paul was judging our brothers at corinth when he told them they were being carnal. if one wants to hide from truth by labeling it as judging i pray for them

would you like to explain this statement then?

"just because we are saved does not mean things like this will not send use to hell."

who are you rebuking? what are you discerning?

that you are able to lose your salvation?

I have no issues with rebuking and discernment.

My issue is with the doctrine that salvation is lost or gained by people's actions and not BY GRACE through FAITH which is a gift of God.

1 Corinthians 2
15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?”[e] But we have the mind of Christ.

1 corinthians 3
9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. 11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with GOD

I have no issues with rebuking and discernment.

My issue is with the doctrine that salvation is lost or gained by people's actions and not BY GRACE through FAITH which is a gift of God.
If grace cannot be lost, why bother telling our brothers they are being carnal, why borther telling us pluck out our eye and cast it from us, why plead with them not to receive the grace of God in vain, why all the warnings to the churches in revelations, why say those that do not practices righteousness is not of God, why tell us have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, just so they will be nice followers? Not because they can still go to hell? I could bring in more warnings but why would he bother wasting the ink if we are all set to go to heaven.

when he said those who practice such will not inherit the kingdom of god would you that be your idea of judgment as well? Any time we see will not enter the kingdom or inherit shall we say they are judging them?

1 corinthians 5:1-13
5 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles—that a man has his father’s wife! 2 And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you. 3 For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed. 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5 deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
6 Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7 Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
9 I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. 10 Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. 11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person.
12 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13 But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”

You should ask where that desire to be condescending to fellow followers of our Lord when discussing our lords word, comes from, a desire and enjoyment of maliciousness is not of the light, I pray for you and wish you well

And again I assume you will revert to accusing me of judging and I direct you back to my post that had a quote from 1corinthians.
