My issue is with the doctrine that salvation is lost or gained by people's actions and not BY GRACE through FAITH which is a gift of God.
Ephesians 2:10 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
James2:26 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
James 1:25 25But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
we may be saved by grace through faith, but how well will that gace be if it is held in vain with dead faith?
a does of the work, he who DOES the will of my Father, he who hears there sayings of mine and DOES them
1 Thessalonians 1:33 remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father,
<H3>1 Corinthians 15:58
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
do you really feel we have no work to tend to? what is the fate of the unprofitable servant? weeping and gnashing of teeth if i remember correctly. there is many more on work we are to be doing all over our good book. what good is a servant that does not serve? i would rather serve my master than watch american idol.
