I've gotta disagree with the video game parts. Kill is in video games, but there are people that play video games for more of the storylines than just random killing.

The point is not that its about random killing but that it imitates "real life" adventure and fighting. Its a waste of energy in a parallel universe. Moreover, I would add that a "video game lifestyle" is conducive to sexual immorality. See King David...

PORN HAS DESTORY MY LIFE AND MARRIED BECAUSE I COULD NOT ARE WOULD NOT STOP AND KNOW GOD HAS FORGIVING BUT WHAT I REAP I WILL SOW AND NO CROP FAILURES. MY SONS WANT TALK TO ME BECAUSE I LEFT THERE MOM FOR A EVIL WOMEN WHO TOOK ME AND LEFT ME BROKE. WE LIVE IN BAD TIMES IT TAKES EVERYTHING I HAVE TO GET UP IN THE MORNING. PLEASE, LEAVE IT ALONE

The bottom line on porn is human beings are attracted to the opposite sex. It's in our nature. It doesn't justify lust. But craving naked women is a strong and imprinted desire in the human male dna. If it wasn't.. the world wouldn't be populated.

I think the more we worry about porn.. the more it consumes and controls us. Stop making it into a giant.. and you can channel your mind to overcome it. Guys need to stop self-condemning themselves over it.. and just drop it. They announced this weekly celebrate recovery group thing at a church I was attending for porn addicts.. and I felt like saying guys in the middle of Sunday service.. GUYS, JUST GET A GIRLFRIEND.

I was addicted to pornography and this chain of hades becomes a strong hold in my life, this is when I was a man of GOD and then I left the church, gave my finger towards heaven and got things turn to the worse when I walk away from everything and looking back I love every moment of it with a passion, every sexual sin you could ever imagine,I love it and totally committed to it and yet I'm a Pastors son living in the world, serve in the house of the Lord all my life, intimately and totally inlove with Jesus, Revelation after revelation the word of God was operating in my life, so zealed for God, passionate with everything to do with the church and I walk away from everything GOD, family, church, friends and I knew one day I will walk back into His arms of love. NOW back for 5yrs with HIS AMAZING GRACE, I asked the Lord one day why did I just walk away from everything, HIM, CHURCH, FAMILY etc when I was so much inlove with HIM, while I had a secrete addiction, serving you in the house and yet you never left me. How can I be inlove with you and still have this addiction? Serve you in the house and still have this addiction, confessed it to my Pastor, prayed for healing and still looking at pornography? THIS IS WHAT HE SAID FOR ALL THOSE who is right now struggling with this hidden sin, "YOU DO LOVE ME SON WITH ALL YOUR HEART BUT YOU DONT HAVE A FEAR FOR ME" means I don't fear GOD, that just breaks my heart, now I live a life full of grace because by His grace saved me, it got nothing to do with me anymore and that I know everytime I walk in His foot steps, His love and mercy is my strength, He is my righteousness, I don't have to do anything, I just thank Him for His goodness that draws me back into His arms, I just simply said LORD I HAD ENOUGH in the world, I'm coming home, I was drunk, drugged out in a swingers club and 5years later I'm sharing to you and with those brothers who are struggling with pornography, asked for the fear of the LORD especially in LEADERSHIP.This is very much alive in the house of the LORD Globally, in the leadership it is alive and many Pastors will fall as this is the first SEED planted in the MIND of humanity through pornography, and NO I HAVENT LOOK AT PORNOGRAPHY IN THE LAST 5yrs, what is the KEY? I am BORN AGAIN and the key is I had a personal encounter with the HOLY SPIRIT of the LORD.I now only do the things HE SAYS as I see Him lead, guide and teach through the word of GOD, my love for the things of the world have been erased, the salvation for humanity is a fire burning in my heart. I can grieve JESUS and grieve our father but to grieve the HOLY SPIRIT is...................no words can explain it.... an encounter with HIM is eternal and everlasting, it is a humility journey in the pathway of Holiness. AMEN PRAISE HIM, PRAISE HIM, PRAISE HIM.

Amazingly no condomnation, just a sense that God is for me and with me even when I fail. Still believing I'm free from it.

Don't worry about me not feeling condemned. I'm not giving up. I've just come to the realization that feeling bad over your failures isn't gonna change a thing.

And just remember this...

John 8: NIV
8 1 but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
11 “No one, sir,” she said.
“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

When I would come in off the road to write reports or with prisoners, the dispatchers and jailers would often be watching it on nightshift. I never really got porn. It falls so far short of a healthy sexual relationship with a spouse. But then, satan has a fake version of everything God intended for good, doesn't he?

" It seems that the same guys who have serious issues with porn also have difficulty finding/keeping a girlfriend. Maybe if their focus was more on building RIGHT relationships with women rather than ugly facsimiles thereof, it would help. But I'm a woman. What do I know? *shrugs*
"

I found your comment very much a judgemental earhtly and all flesh attitude, the kind that put everybody off christianity and Jesus. This is an epidemic and stronghold and the most devasting family destroying silent disease that is wreacking families around the world. You should be more sensitive and compassionate toward men and women living with this chains of hades around their neck and your words and attitude is framing and in agreement with every demons in hell over every soul of humanity. Please as a S member in this forum let your word be season with love and grace, let the eyes of your understanding shine with the power of the Holy Spirit so that through your heart after God , you will become and instrument to set every captive free, because your life belongs to Jesus now. I pray that you alone draw near to Jesus, that you alone seek after the one your heart desires, the lover of your soul. God bless you AMEN. :)

I hate to tell you, but the facts are on Jullianna's side. After having dealt with a sexual addiction myself, and having dealt with tons of men with the same issue, I can say that I have NEVER met a man with these struggles that didn't have serious issues with properly relating to women. Porn feeds objectification of women, simple fact. Coddling those people who have the addiction is merely enabling them to continue in it.

Quite obviously from your post you have no understanding whatsoever of Jullianna's heart for both the people who struggle in this addiction and for those who suffer because of those addicts. I find your attack on her character to be personally offensive. **bites tongue**

Telling people to 'just get a girlfriend' is no kind of advice. Do you know how many married/otherwise attatched men have a porn addiction? And what exactly are you suggesting anyway, 'just get a girlfriend'? That they then look at her naked? That's what it sounded like.

failed again. Though I do gotta say this problem is probably linked to my fears.(fears being next to impossible ways of hiv. you know impossible like cut to cut. Or in this cases like that lead to this. It' would be girl stuff finding girl stuff in random places. Like in this case, I'm worried that I accidently sat in girl stuff....

Wow nobody can understand this...

Translation:

For the last 2 1/2 I've had an unreasonable fear of getting hiv in ways that people usually don't get it. Since I don't do drugs, have sex, blah, blah, blah. My fears are usually more cut to cut, sitting on a place where I think girl stuff is left on the sit., I think I put my hands on something wet and then think it's a sexual fluid and freakout.

Anyways since this tends to come from sex. Or usually when I worried about girlstuff(Like sitting on a seat and the being like what if I sat on girlstuff, or really just random girlstuff + evirenment) It tends to make think about. Which causes this type of problem. >_<

I'm just seeing more of link between this fear and porn being the trigger more than anything else right now.

Oh wow, I just noticed something. Times between the failures are getting longer. Especially after I really started learning about grace.

I think you need help. Not the kind that comes from a forum on the internet.

There are lot of people worse than I was even when I was at my worst(Used to be a about once a day(Though this was like 7th grade)). With that said, I think trusting in God's grace, and letting Jesus do the work is all I need to get out this.

The sad thing Dot, is that I've seen all too many guys right where you are. Wanting to quit an addiction, but not willing to do what it takes to quit. Forgive me for being rather blunt because it's going to come across as cold hearted and I know it, but candy coating the truth won't help you one bit. It is apparent to me that you haven't come close to hitting rock bottom with this yet because if you had, you would be so disgusted with the control that porn has on you that you would do anything that it takes to quit. Time and again people including myself have given you suggestions as to things that will help you to begin to gain total victory but you choose to reject that help and continue to wallow along doing things the same way you always have thinking that somehow it's going to change.

Years ago I was involved in a sex addiction recovery program and guys like yourself were regularly kicked out because until someone is ready to give recovery more than just lip service they will not progress and gain control over their addictive behaviors.
To quote a movie (28 Days) that was about addiction recovery, "insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results." You've already said you've been struggling with this since seventh grade, you are now 24. That's over 10 years that your way to recovery hasn't worked, yet somehow you still expect that your way is going to bring you success.

I know I've told you this before, but I'll say it one more time in the hopes that maybe it'll sink in this time. Addictions, although at a spiritual level are rooted in sin, at an emotional level, they are ALWAYS rooted in emotional issues. Addictions are used to make us "feel better" and cover up whatever pain is that is at the root of the addiction. Addicts RARELY gain victory over addictions without addressing the root emotional issue, and if they do routinely just shift to a more socially acceptable addictive behavior. As I have read through numerous threads
over a period of time that you post in, I can guarantee that your porn addiction, obsession with finding a woman, and inability to interact with women in a normal social situation are all related to the root emotional issue. Deal with the emotional issues and the rest will fall into place.

As Liamson said, and others have said before, the help you need is ONLY going to come from a professional that can guide you through the healing process and hold you accountable to the process.
