Why do men/women....?

Sometimes women cry because something is overwhelmingly GOOD, not wrong. :)

If you think it might be for a bad reason, saying something at that moment might not be the best option. :)

I wish this was the case with all women. I know from experience that it is not.

PS Sometimes dancing works even better than just holding...sometimes.

Thanks I think... :D Girls always know what to do when another girl, friend, is crying..

Honestly if I see someone crying I feel like bringing their favorite anything... food, music, joke, person, movie, or something that always distracts them from their sadness: a topic that makes them snap.

I feel like a confused child bringing or giving toys to thinking its what they may need or just plain want so they'll be distracted. You can imagine how useless I feel when the mood is serious.
 
I think men have emotions. They just express them differently. Women aren't taught not to express them. Some guys are.
 
For the same reason men don't show their emotions...we're taught not to be direct or aggressive. We're supposed to be all sweet and stuff or we come off as bossy. I'm not saying that it's right. I'm just saying that's what we're told.

LOL! That is my closet!!!!!!

Gabe, I don't expect you to understand, but you can wear a very plain dress, but if you have the perfect shoes, it becomes awesome. :) Have you ever noticed that in beauty pageants they don't wear flipflops in the bathing suit competition? Why? Because heels make their feet look prettier, their legs look longer and they give the illusion of being taller.

That's fine if she's diverting a topic to be kind or appropriate...I would suppose, but then it's really destructive sometimes. :(

For instance (one of many), when a girl says she's "fine"...this word never (or hardly ever) is spoken within the context of its definition. The same often holds true for many other words.

Good communication = good relationship

Bad communication = ...too many things to list, but let's just say 'problems'


Now, I'm fortunate enough that in my INFJ and just God-given sensory abilities, I can often interpret what people 'mean' vs. what they do or say, and may even 'sense' what they are thinking or feeling. (I can get into this with any of you, if you like, but it usually just ends in people being angry, confused, scared, or skeptical...)

For the average person, though, it's really rough, and even for me...it's annoying having to interpret everything all the time instead of just being able to listen at face-value to what someone says.

*sigh* Oh well...just one of those things, I suppose.

No, seriously, they're just another tool. And we love all manner of tools.

I don't think heels look nice at all. Women don't need to look taller most of the time, and heels look painful. I'd trade any sort of benefit for all the un-crankiness of a girl with hurt feet.
 
Im 5ft.... ill take the heels XD
although i only wear them for a few hours at most :P 99% of the time i wear flip flops

...I'm a woman that likes guns and knives and stuff... Shooting stuff is fun, and its nice to have a knife to open things and be self sufficient :P
I know when I went to college a lot of the guys I met thought it was so cool I could talk guns with them but I thought it was completely normal. Then again, I did have an after school program (through my middle school) when I was 12 where I learned to shoot which I guess wasn't really considered 'normal' by the real world...or anywhere but Alaska...Haha
 
One thing that I would like to know is why when they're going through hard times, guys will push away those that care about them most and want nothing more than to support/help them? I've witnessed it numerous times with a variety of different men and still don't quite get it. It's almost like they're unnecessarily playing the role of a martyr and is quite annoying.
 
It's a difference between how men and women work out problems.

Most women work things out through communication and socializing.

Men tend to isolate and either face their troubles head on, or forget/not think about/try to escape them.

There are nuances of course, and this is a generalization, but it's In the wiring.
