Is she the same as Mary, the mother of Jesus? Or what?

The Queen of Heaven is the Church of God, for the Bride of The Lord is the church! The spiritual definition of a body is a group of members (Matthew 5:29,30 - 1 Corinthians 12:12-27). If the body is the dwelling place for the spirit, than the house is the dwelling place for the body (Matthew 12:22-30)! The body of the "believer(s)" in God, must be kept pure, clean, Holy, & in harmony with the self (yourself, myself, himself, herself, themselves, ourselves - ALL THY NEIGHBORS)!!! The House of The Lord is Us... therefore when we accept & he enters, it is a union. To commit fornication against God/ YAH, is to allow satan the liar into our lives!!!

  1. Jeremiah 7:18
The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
  2. Jeremiah 44:17
But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.
  3. Jeremiah 44:18
But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.
  4. Jeremiah 44:19
And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?
  5. Jeremiah 44:25
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.
    Revelation 18:7
" To the degree that she glorified herself and lived sensuously, to the same degree give her torment and mourning; for she says in her heart, ' I SIT as A QUEEN AND I AM NOT A WIDOW, and will never see mourning.'

Don't take my word for it!!! Ephesians 5:25 says "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her!" The way I see the world can be called eccentric/ unusual, peculiar, or odd. If what I say sounds wrong to U, read Acts 17:11... then read Matthew 22:1-14!!!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regina_Coeli

In Christian (Catholic) tradition, when we say "Queen of Heaven" (or "Regina coeli"), it's understood that we're talking about Mary, mother of Jesus.

Jeremiah is talking about someone else.

Sorry to burst all U guys' bubbles... but Mark 3:33-35 supports everything I was saying in my posts above. It says "And answering them, he said: Who is my mother and my brethren? And looking round about on them who sat about him, he saith: Behold my mother and my brethren. For whosoever shall do the will of God, he is my brother, and my sister, and mother."... so there!!! We win again! lol.

Religion leadeth the blind into destruction. The so called "queen of heaven" I call "the whore of babylon" is ALL AROUND US! Yes ladies & gentleman... this new globalist society is THE mystery babylon. Its no secret society anymore!!! Revelation 13:10 says "He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity.". That explains why those who die on the wrong path (Matthew 7:13) are condemned! Followers of religion don't live by faith, & followers of God/ YAH are persecuted for their faith!!! Our only hope is the return of The Lamb!!!

Doubleedge- You're being ridiculous, man. "Queen of Heaven" refers to Mary, mother of Jesus. Period. Whether or not you consider her to be worthy of that title is irrelevant. There are very old Catholic hymns using this term. It's a very well-known term from a very well-known text. Your quote from Mark 3 didn't prove anything, because it said nothing about the "Queen of Heaven". I feel like my head is going to explode because this conversation is so ridiculous. I can't believe we're arguing about it. Again, the term refers to Mary: that's fact, and that's history. I don't believe she's ever called that in the bible: the title came along later.

As for Wikipedia, I know it gets a bad rap, but whenever I've looked up topics that I know a lot about, I've found the site to be very accurate. Remember that not just anyone can edit it: you have to be a registered user. And if you put something false on there (which I've done before, just for fun), it often gets deleted or corrected or annotated within minutes or seconds. If you think "Queen of Heaven" is referring to the church, you're just plain wrong.

Doubleedge-You are correct!! The Queen of Heaven mentioned in Scripture id a demonic principality...despite what most Catholics think. There are no scriptures to support that Mary was ever anything but a highly favored, young Jewish girl, chosen by God to give birth to His son. She then went on to give birth to Jesus' brothers and sisters. This, in no way, makes her a queen. A queen is married to a king. The Queen of Heaven is a COUNTERFEIT Bride of Christ. It is the Bride of Christ that marries her King, Jesus. The the Q of H mentioned in scripture is an idol, a false god. You never see heavenly attibutes attributed to the Q of H in Scripture.

My friend Groundhog... as believers in Christ, we must stand together, or fall apart. I find it hard to believe that amidst the chaos of disagreeing minds, divisions & denominations, that the BODY of Christ is whole, clean, & pure. All I can say to U is test the spirits, & trust God.
