It does not follow absolutely that "the casting out" (itself) cured them -- Jesus could have simply done that ALSO at the same time... (It is possible.)

I imagine that (because I am not going to look them all up - just going "off of memory" here) - in most, if not all, places in scripture where an account of such is given -- the two things are probably indicated as happening at the same time without saying that the one actually caused the other...
Now, if scripture actually says that the one actually caused the other -- that is a different case...

There was a story in Mark chapter 9, about a spirit that had robbed a young man of his ability to speak. It appears, in that instance, that casting out the demon and "healing" the child were one and the same.
I don't believe chemicals in the brain dismiss spiritual phenomenon. When we feel love and other such emotions one can trace it back to a chemical released in the brain. I don't think that is anything that discredits the spiritual forces at work, we are simply seeing the physical fingerprints caused by a spiritual element.

This is an excellent point, I think. Like you, I do not believe that "science" and "God" are mutually exclusive. Non-believers, it seems, are quick to point at every new scientific breakthrough and say, "aha, see, just more proof there is no God". But they fail to consider things like (a) "where do the chemicals come from?", (b) "why do they do what they do?", and (c) who made the brain in the first place, for goodness sake?"
I believe that Gods is leading us to more and more knowledge so that we will eventually understand the true magnitude of His creation. The more we learn, it seems to me, the more we can't explain.
With respect to bi-polar disorder, I am not well versed on the "disease", but I am personally skeptical of anything that is used to explain and excuse evil behavior of any kind, "because the person can't help it". That, however, is a subject for another thread.

Part of the problem I see when attempting to use spiritual means to solve Physical problems is the fact that so much of what consists of "Christian Healing" has been proven fraud. Time after time the so called Healing evangelists have been shot down and exposed as mere frauds. Which does not mean there is NO value to Christian healing, just the need to be very wary of any claims.
It was demonstrated that Jesus could heal with a touch, and there have been many other examples of healings taking place, but there is no "one for one" proven techniques. It is impossible to prove, so there comes much doubt. So much so that when I hear of someone making such claims the first thing I think about is that it is fraudulent and that is sad for me.

I just wanna put this out there. My faith is doing a better job by far for fixing my depression, ocd, and anxiety than any drug ever has. Just sayin'. My views on this whole thing are above in this thread. But just thought it worth mentioning faith is powerful and its effects are rapid and noticeable. Leaving demons out of this statement. Just felt like saying this.
Angel we all have come under demonic attack. YES INCLUDING ME - we will continued to be attacked “ Christians & Non-Christians “ but by my observation the ones who take and stay on this meds. Who refuse to even think about it being a demonic oppression / possession are ones who don’t accept Jesus therefor denying any intervention from Jesus.

If this is true, then it appears to point to a possible 'connection' of some kind - which is certainly believable.
I can certainly see the possibility of 'health problems' being caused by demonic presence in the body - as a side effect. I can even imagine that some 'health problems' might be "initiated" - and even sustained - by demonic presence outside of the body.
My previous post was intended mainly to "warn against" the mis-interpreting of scripture by "reading into it" something it did not actually say. (Which is really easy for us to do if we are not careful.)
The 'focus' was on the interpretation of scripture, not so much the subject matter at hand (demons).
It is widely held that no born-again Christian can be "possessed" by a demon (because of the in-dwelling of the Holy Spirit). Based on this - I would say that this is your first and most meaningful 'clue' -- any 'health problem' that a [true] Christian may suffer - cannot be caused by demon possession (in the body). This is not to say that demon influence (from outside of the body) cannot have any effect on the health of the person (which complicates things a bit).
And, as I see it - this is the central basis for the OP's assumption - which I believe is "way too broad", although there may be some truth in it - but not in all cases "by definition"...
I personally believe that demonic forces are at work at "multiple levels" - only one of which is demonic possession (of the 'victim'). Please see post #282.
Separate from possession, I believe there is such a thing as demonic influence.
And the point is -- while there is such a thing as demonic possession ("low-level" direct control of the body from within the body by one or more demons that have "occupied" the body) - there also exists demonic influence (and sometimes, control) at "higher levels" (in the brain/mind)...
Perhaps the OP is really thinking about a "non-possession" type of "demonic" influence/control of the brain/mind?

The OP says they are not christians .. How does everyone keep looking over that?????? and keep bringing christian up and how they can't be possessed?

well, to be fair, ''Christian'' just means a follower of Christ. Following Christ isn't what's stained with sin. that would be humanity in general. Can't fault the word ''Chrisitan'' for that.

Because you have been told over and over again that there are CHRISTIANS with bipolar disorders and your are WRONG about them being demon possessed.
However, you refuse to listen or believe their testimony.

Basically no one has proven that to me. Every time I ask if they are they never respond back or they tell me they have been told they have it but they take no meds for it.
