Demons. The word is like life, - easily thrown around but hard to define.
With an increase in knowledge comes an increase in difficulties.
While on one hand you get instant gratification, on the other an almost palpable empty feeling results.
This is the difference between the gratification of the flesh - (whether it's a big mac you eat or the advertisement for McDonald's that placates the carnal mind).
This is the result of the end times, when knowledge would be increased, so many's love would grow cold.
It's just too easy right now in the first world for many to feed their carnal delights.
Demons in possession of the soul? - No, not necessarily.
The devil in control of the society? - Yes, most definitely.
Jesus said it would be this way at the end.

If you object, just how many times has your spirit been edified, as opposed to your carnal nature; concerning anything mass media driven or 'popular'.

Ok lets say it was drugs that got this young man. Don't they say that's how demons get to you is through drug use. So still DEMON

Now one more time I have told you everyone including myself has fought demons and we will continue fighting demons. I'm just saying those with bipolar don't accept Jesus by my observation..

As for the empowering of the spirit, how many adds have you seen that tell you not to gratify your lusts.
The whole environment laid through commercials is to gratify some supposed need.
It's certainly not to fast, or do without.
These indeed are the last times because it's so far flung.

And sadly, these 'appetites for destruction' are what the youth see most vehemently.

moment_of_faith you are right about drugs being a gateway, and an artificial sacrifice to demons.
But I'm saying it goes much deeper.
You don't have to have abused drugs to be bipolar.
Look at the world the child sees.
Look at the times we are in.

Personally I dont think all cases of bipolar disorders are caused by demons. Being a nurse, i have worked with patients with various mental health problems. Bipolar disorder medically speaking is linked genetically and are caused by varying level of neurotransmitters in the brain namely, serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine and can be triggered by stressful situation emotionally or mentally. Also, it can be brought under control using certain medication, hence it can be classified as a mental health problem. however, demon possessed people often behave like bipolar patients , therefore linking it to bipolar. People with bipolar still live in society with their condition under control using treatment, so it is not always a demon case.

King James Version: Job Chapter 7

1 Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are not his days also like the days of an hireling?

2 As a servant earnestly desireth the shadow, and as an hireling looketh for the reward of his work:

3 So am I made to possess months of vanity, and wearisome nights are appointed to me.

4 When I lie down, I say, When shall I arise, and the night be gone? and I am full of tossings to and fro unto the dawning of the day.

5 My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust; my skin is broken, and become loathsome.

6 My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle, and are spent without hope.

7 O remember that my life is wind: mine eye shall no more see good.

8 The eye of him that hath seen me shall see me no more: thine eyes are upon me, and I am not.9 As a cloud vanishes and is gone,
so one who goes down to the grave does not return.
10 He will never come to his house again;
his place will know him no more. 11 “Therefore I will not keep silent;
I will speak out in the anguish of my spirit,
I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.
12 Am I the sea, or the monster of the deep,
that you put me under guard?
13 When I think my bed will comfort me
and my couch will ease my complaint,
14 even then you frighten me with dreams
and terrify me with visions,
15 so that I prefer strangling and death,
rather than this body of mine.
16 I despise my life; I would not live forever.
Let me alone; my days have no meaning.

17 “What is mankind that you make so much of them,
that you give them so much attention,
18 that you examine them every morning
and test them every moment?
19 Will you never look away from me,
or let me alone even for an instant?
20 If I have sinned, what have I done to you,
you who see everything we do?
Why have you made me your target?
Have I become a burden to you?[a]
21 Why do you not pardon my offenses
and forgive my sins?
For I will soon lie down in the dust;
you will search for me, but I will be no more.”

I posted on another thread when I first got to the site where people seemed to be coming off as defensive when really they weren't and I said tone of voice and body language isn't apparent online and with just words to go by, sometimes they seem much harsher than they really are. The person who reads it could already be in a bad mood and that affects their interpretation of what it written.
This is a big part of the reason why I started that thread.

Imagine what they'd say about Job today?
That's easy, he would be acursed of God of course for not having enough faith.
I mean, he obviously didn't pay his thousand talent vow.
A man smitten of God - a man of no faith.
He just needs to get his priorities right.
The man obviously had no faith, anyone could see that!
God only blesses the righteous........, RIGHT?

Job would be called bipolar. They would give him all kinds of meds and tell him he had this or that

Actually, no they wouldn't. In none of his actions did he show violence. The would say at one he was grieving for the loss of his children, simply because he lost all his children. However, no where does his actions even hint of bi-polar. His wife, maybe, his friends could be construed that way, I guess. But him, nope.

My sister has bipolar disorder and it has nothing to with demons. She is a Christian too, a Catholic in that regard but still a follower of Christ. So however thinks bipolar disorder is demonic is wrong. The only way to tell someone has demons is through God.

trying to figure out how to include video but here's the link

Man Possessed by Ghost on CCTV - Video
That video was disturbing.

Moment - I've noticed your posts always seem to be about demons. It's unhealthy to obsess over evil so much. We need to be walking in Christ's footsteps and not give evil the time of day. What you feed yourself with comes out, including what you watch on tv. Meditate on God's word instead. Ignore evil.

Physical and mental illnesses are a part of life, as we live in a broken world.

If you believe in Jesus then you must believe in demons .. We are not fighting flesh and blood but spirits of the unseen world. I believe this to be one of the most important scripture in the bible.

You must first know your enemy to defeat your enemy. ARMOR UP

^ That chemical would be serotonin :) It's more or less a natural happy- drug. It is also produced upon body contact (so hugs are good!)

Lack of it can cause depression, bipolar disorders etc.
So like a chemical imbalance?

It was long postulated that anxiety and depressive disorders (and many other mental illnesses) were caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. More specifically, the “chemical imbalance” theory presumed that serotonin, a neurotransmitter in the brain, was below normal levels, and therefore caused anxiety and depressive disorders. Lexapro is a popular antidepressant that is said to be able to restore this chemical imbalance, Paxil is another antidepressant that is said to be able to restore this chemical imbalance, Zoloft is another antidepressant that was said to be able to restore this chemical imbalance, Effexor is another antidepressant that was said to be able to restore this chemical imbalance.

These are just a few of the many claims about the “chemical imbalance” theory and its link to anxiety and depression. Based on this theory, clinicians treated anxiety and depressive disorders with medications that were supposed to increase the low levels of serotonin, thereby resolving anxiety and depressive disorders. As this practice gained acceptance, doctors, mental health professionals, and the general public widely accepted the chemical imbalance theory as being true. Heavy marketing by pharmaceutical companies not only popularized the chemical imbalance theory but also their medications used to ‘restore’ the faulty imbalance. Over time, this theory gained momentum and became an almost accepted fact. Up until 2011, most medical and mental health professionals believed the chemical imbalance cause for anxiety and depression was true. As a result, treatment of these mental illnesses almost always included medication(s) to ‘correct’ the imbalance.

Effexor, Lexapro, and Zoloft (popular antidepressants) were in the top 40 best selling medications in the world in 2006, and accounted for a combined total of over 8.5 billion dollars in sales during that year.

The chemical imbalance theory as a cause for anxiety and depressive disorders never was true. In fact, no experiment has ever shown that anyone has an ‘imbalance’ of any neurotransmitters or any other brain chemicals. The entire theory was hypothetical. Over the last ten years, independent research has continually shown the chemical imbalance theory to be false. Furthermore, independent research has shown medications used to ‘correct’ the imbalance were largely ineffective with many fairing no better than placebo.

Marketing was the primary driver behind the acceptance of the “chemical imbalance” theory.

The Rosenhan Experiment

In 1973 Rosenhan published "On Being Sane in Insane Places" The article details the Rosenhan experiment. The experiment arranged for eight individuals with no history of psychopathology to attempt admission into twelve psychiatric hospitals. All individuals were admitted with a diagnosis of schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. Psychiatrists then attempted to treat the individuals using psychiatric medication. All eight were discharged within 7 to 52 days, but only when they had stated that they accepted their diagnosis. In a later part of the study, a research and teaching hospital challenged Rosenhan to run a similar experiment involving its own diagnosis and admission procedures. Psychiatric staff were warned that at least one pseudo-patient might be sent to their institution. 83 out of 193 new patients were believed by at least one staff member to be actors. In fact, Rosenhan sent no actors. The study concluded that existing forms of diagnosis were grossly inaccurate in distinguishing individuals without mental disorders from those with mental disorders. The paper created an explosion of controversy. Critics have questioned the validity and credibility of the study, but concede that the consistency of psychiatric diagnoses needs improvement.

Now I may hurt some peoples feeling and I’m very sorry, but every person I have ever spoken to that has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder doesn’t accept Jesus as their lord and savior or didn’t before they were diagnosed or they have some crazy version of who Jesus is.
Can anyone help me out with this?
Pray...pray over the person and pray that those 'specialists" in this area (medical experts) would consider praying with and for their patients.
