I think i know what god willl use my life for and what my destiny is but for now i want to hear what everyone else thinks or wants their destiny to be. This may not be an important topic and probably not a popular thread but wouldn't it be fun to at least imagine what our destiny would be?

Just when I think I do, I don't. It seems as though, for now, its day by day for me.

That's a slippery slope for me. Having been born three months premature I've had my mother and a few people of faith say there's a definite destiny for me. Honestly in my 18 (nearly 19) years on this earth I have trouble coming to terms with that. I think that as I grow and develop in the Lord it will become more clear. For now I'm taking comfort in the fact that I'm young and that a lot of people my age are at the same stage but I just wish I could be pointed in the right direction. It's my path so I don't expect anyone to come out and tell me but it's something I ponder probably too often...ah well.

I can say that I have no clue what my destiny is, but I do know that I have a loving Father that will reveal it to me every step of the way.

i know what i have to do to achieve my destiny even though i dont fully know what my destiny is. i do have an idea tho.
u know blain, it would be nice to know for sure our purpose and to fulfill it. i tell God sometimes, i just want to fulfill my purpose. at the end of it all, i do want to say, i've run a good race, i've fought a good fight...i did i was created to do. i do want to hear, well done good and faithful servant.
God often places certain passions in our lives that can be used for His glory and honour....for eg, i know it is God's will for me to be a doctor and so im on that journey now. but i know there's more.
in the meantime, lets give God our best-today!

I don't worry about it. "Study to show yourself approved of God unto men". The rest will come naturally.

I think that maybe our purpose is the process of finding out what our purpose is, because there is meaning in the search. When we start digging deep and asking questions about our life and beliefs, we begin to understand ourselves a bit better. Seeking answers to those questions involves struggle and doubt which can build character and mold us. I believe that The Purpose isn't a career, its the meaning behind the career which if partnered with our values and beliefs, it can be quite rewarding and soul-uplifting :) But it all starts with a process of improving self-awareness, questioning and struggles.

To become Stormageddon the Dark Lord of the Apocalypse and rule the Earth with an Iron fist.

I actually don't believe in 'fate' or 'destiny'. I do believe that God is Sovereign, but not a dictator. If you're caught up on the language, though, then I make my own destiny.

I do want to know and fulfill God's plan(s) for my life, but that relies largely (if not solely) on me. 'Free Will' means we can literally do whatever we want, but there are equal and opposite reactions for every action (or rather, consequences for our choices).

As far as I know, I'm currently at least headed in the right direction (how straight the road or quick the journey being another matter entirely). I believe God has called me to the place I am now in (particular college, ministry track, current occupation as a Youth Minister), and also have a heading for future sailing (going to Asbury Theological for an MDiv, completing the candidacy process, becoming an ordained elder in the Methodist church).

I do not, however, know every detail, nor more than the current step and next. In essence, that's all God really needs me to know (if that). 'This is where you are, and this is where you're going.' In any case, if God and His Kingdom are what you seek, then I don't really think you should worry about anything.

I know God's given me gifts, though, and I'm interested to see how those play into things (especially music).

HEAVEN!!!!

My destiny is to live for Christ, other than that I don't worry about it.

Matthew 6:34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

My destiny is to be with the Lord for all eternity, to serve Him and others as long as I'm on this planet, and if He doesn't come back before I die, I plan to slide into the grave sideways. Beyond that, I don't care to know. God's surprises have been far more awesome than anything I could have imagined for myself! :)

Don't worry I promise to rule with fear and love. In other words, you will all be terrified of how much you love me.

dont know what my destiny is going to be but i do know my purpose here is to help people ; give encourgement to those that need it ; i have alot of growing in the lord to do ; im a backslider but im getting better each day getting closer to him ; sometimes my destiny scares me because of sin i carry but god forgives and he died for us all

NICE... :)

okay I'll be the social outcast
i believe Gods destiny for my life is to see his son fully transfomed in His image .. The spirit man in me " jesus" eats away the flesh... so it is I that no longer exists , but He!! I don't think for one second Gods going to be looking for me... I know He's going to be looking for His Son! a transformation is taking place in these bodies... he wants us to have his thoughts, his word, ... He is trying to get everything to Him that believes!!

Being transformed into the image of His son... Is not my destiny, But Gods
