Hey Singles!!

Does anyone else do these kinds of things? I worry that I'm becoming more scatterbrained with every year that passes!!

I've had times when I've forgotten where I've parked before, but this was definitely the worst. I had just gone grocery shopping after about 3 weeks, so I had a very full cart, but when I walked outside... I just completely drew a blank. It's a given that I park towards the back to make myself walk a few extra feet, but that day I literally zigzagged up and down a good 5 or 6 lanes looking for my car. I'm quite sure I must have looked like The Idiot Of The Day in doing so!!! :D

I was so desperate that I came close to pushing the "panic alarm" button on my keychain because I was panicking over not finding my vehicle! Oh, how I long for the days of say, parking at the zoo, because at least they have distinct little signs to help you remember ("Ok, I parked close the penguin but not past the bear.")

I am convinced these things happen to keep me from ever thinking I'm all that smart! :) I would love to meet a date who wouldn't mind taking me grocery shopping and offering to remember where we parked the car!!

What about all of you? What mishap and adventures have you had lately that you just can't help but laugh at... All at your own expense! :P

I had to make a doctors appointment today and the woman asked me what my address was and there was a loooooooong awkward silence CAUSE I COULDNT EVEN REMEMBER MY ADDRESS!!!

seriously this must be what happens when you get old

So I guess none of us have to worry about asking Nod for her phone number... because by now she's long forgotten it :D (No worries, Nod, I do that all the time!!)

Next time bring breadcrumbs! That's what I do. ;)

And to remember your address just write it backwards on your forehead so u can read it in a mirror. :)

I never know where my car is, that is a regular occurrence for me. Even in parking garages that are marked I still have no idea what color or letter I parked at. I just feel like my brain is always engaged in other matters.

Hey it's one way I get more exercise a day, lol!!

One way to never forget where you parked is to leave a lit cigarette dangling precariously on the edge of your dashboard. Then when you return from shopping all you have to do is look for the big plume of billowing smoke. ;)

Locking my keys in the car, and the only way to get them out is with a fishing pole. TRUE STORY.

I am horrible about remembering to check phone messages and calling people back. :o This is probably why I'm single. I've actually asked the receptionist at work to send me an email if I need to return a call so it will be right in front of my face.

Seoul, the solution to your problem is to own a veeeerrrrry big vehicle so it stands out in a crowd.

Jullianna, I remember to check my messages but usually at a time that is inconvenient to return a call and thus it gets forgotten.

What I find weird is the information the brain will retain, yet other info it won't. I still remember my CA drivers license number that I haven't had in over 14 years, but couldn't tell you the number on my CO license. The other day I had to give someone my address and started to give them the address of the house I grew up in.....I haven't lived there in 23 years.

When I get a phone call, I have a horrible habit of pacing around and setting down random objects in random places, and when the call is over, it takes me 5 minutes to retrace my steps and re-find everything. Senility is going to hit me pretty hard, I'm afraid :o

Hey I push my panic button all the time. Isn't that what it is there for, so that I don't panic?

I've totally done that before! Not in my own car cus I don't drive, bu tme and my sister will go shopping and neither of us will remember where we parked.

Now ,Zero, as a mom I have to tell you, you never put your name, address, or phone number on your body because then that is how the "bad people" will know where you live, who you are, and how to reach you. Besides knowing how to make you believe that they already know you.:p

Oh wait a minute that sounds more like pick up lines. I had this guy come to my work once who said how he knew me and we went to school together. I said oh yeah. He was like yeah what school did you go to and when did you graduate. I said you tell me those things since we were there together. lol... I mean the least he could have done was tell me he lost his number and could he get mine. That would have been a better way to try to flirt with me. Geez!!

I do this too. At home it isn't too bad, but at work it can be a nightmare. On a larger construction project it can take a while to retrace my steps to figure out where I set a tool down.

Lol, yeah, I do it when I'm outside, too......not good. I'm generally really good at multi-tasking, but for some reason, I can't talk on the phone or listen to music that I like without completely zoning out of all other tasks........it really is getting ridiculous :o.

I can tell you my stepdad's military serial number because it was on the dogtags I had to wear 24/7 when I was growing up overseas, but I can't remember my cellphone number half the time. :)

What? You mean you don't call yourself daily? And here I thought everyone did!

If I'm asked 'whats new?', my reply is 'umm....'. Sometimes I have to think back to what has been happening in my life lately, and trace back to anything thats interesting enough to bring up lol. You'd think I would remember whats going on in my own life

Today is one of those days where I wonder why I never have the address and phone number to the nearest shelter. And why do all the little dogs have to run into the front of my truck. Ugh. So now, I have a little dog at my house, waiting to be taken to the shelter tomorrow, so he can be processed, and find a home by Saturday, hopefully. And don't worry, he's already on the no kill list.
