What does the Bible say about respecting and praying for your nation's leaders?

I don't think it gives exceptions because 'baby didn't get his bottle'.

yea its not like were waiting for a little horn to rise up or nothing,,you'd think they'd all be scared down in Texas (i would),,they need to remember they rejoined the free america at the point of the bayonet last time. it's not like this time the u.n gonna step in and put the little blue soldiers on the borders of Texas and then tell the u.s. "remember when we all said Egypt could oust their leader and govern themselves"(democracy you know),or Libya wouldn't it be scary to get told the same,,,"the people say,,heaw-get!!!",,,,good ole d.c has no problem saying to Syria,,"the people have the right to choose",,,and the united nations should uphold these rights for the people,,,the soviet union can dissolve and the u.s. screams "they have the right to govern themselves",,,,but you see its not do what i do it's,,,"do what i say",,,we all look for the beast, the seven heads, the ten horns,Babylon,,the little horn,,lets see in Babylon a king move against him with great choler but prevailed not(bush sr.91gulf war),,and a raiser of taxes stood up(Clinton balanced budget),,,and certain years later the first kings son returns and prevails, king of the north defeated Saddam is dead (now who's the king of Babylon) should be a no brain er,,,"a daddy is President, then someone else,,,and then a son but not just any son,the son of the one who goes to war and dont prevail,,his son becomes President and returns and prevails,,,then this man returns, another is the President(Obama),,then Babylon is divided into thirds,,,the west u.s.,,,,,the east u.s.,,,and the states that seceded, the son that was the President of Babylon,,becomes the king of the new formed little horn that rose up with a small people,(dont forget jr. built the u.n. base between Gaza and Jerusalem when he was President),,"god of forces",,and then ask the ten horns(u.n.) to defend it's right to rule itself,,,then the ten horns hate the whore,,and burn her with fire,,,England(Babylon has a mother nation) sits afar off and see's the pillars of smoke(east u.s. and west u.s.) ascend up,,,west u.s.,,and east u.s.,,largest population of Jewish descendents on the face of the earth (notice the people the little horn wars against?) and then the seven years of peace,,half way through he turns you'll know him by then his right eye will be blinded, and his right arm crippled,,but he would have left many clues he would have had the leader of Russia(gog) at this house in Crawford,,,Putin would have said in his speech at the high school there,,"we have always understood the importance of Texas",,and if all else failed,,,,an angel could have told you to look for him,,,,,,,,Daniel 11;7-9 and you could just do his genealogy and figure out he is a direct bloodline decedent of Ptolemy Euergetes through is mother,,,,,,,here is wisdom let he that hath understanding "count the number of the beast",,,,,,,the little horn your missing one of the horns,,,,,it come up at the end,,,,

I think you have a very very misconstrued definition of liberal. And I don't think anyone has a problem with republicans in texas deciding to secede. Its like taking your best player out of the game. By republicans of texas. Thanks for giving up all those electoral college votes GOP.

Did Stilly say he was a Republican? And why do you assume that all Texans are Republicans, and if they're not, that they would automatically vote for Obama?

By the way Stilly, I don't remember if you lived in TX or not, so if I acciedentally include you in the TX, um, Sorry. :D

,,,,and you bring up a great point,,,,no king rises,no kingdom,,unless god permits it,,,and, you are to obey the ruler,,,,,one nation obeys their king,,,the other their dictator,,ect,,,,,,,,,in the "united states of america",,,,,,,,,,,,"we the people",,,set out to rule our own selves,,we created an nation with no king(of man) over us,,,,,,we pulled up three kings and have them in our mouth,,England,France,Spain,,,,as it was written three of the ten horns fell to us,,,"we the people",,,,it is written to give tribute the the powers that govern you(they are from god),,then so if god did not want you to rule over your own selves,,,"we the people",,,,,,,,,,,,,you would have lost these wars, but you did not,,,,we the people, the blood is on your hands,,,your officials bow to you,you fire them you hire them,,,the judgment of this nation will be on your head,,,,,,,,,,in other nations they are ruled by kings, they must obey their masters,,and their masters are to be held accountable,,,,,,,,you are the opposite, you are we the people,,god gave you an kingdom, your officials obey your vote,,,,,if you let your officials do iniquity,,you say do it,,and you will face the judgment of it,,,,,,,,,

Before you start casting judgement on our nation, you might want to look at your nation. Yes, you do have a monarch, however, the monarch is not the one who makes laws, but the parliament. Now, while I maybe comparing it a little too much to England's, if I'm correct, then you do vote in a lot of your leaders, including the Prime Minister, who would be somewhere between our Senate Majority Leader and our President. Probably more like the Senate Majority Leader. Granted, it's not completly democratic, but neither is the U.S.

Fair enough. I did, and still find nothing. So that leaves me to believe that you really made the whole thing up. Not surprising, but somewhat offensive, very disrespectful, and certainly not model Christian behavior.

Grungy Dear, I was pretty steemed at him too for trying to pull a dirty trick like that. I'm glad you also caught it as well.

In addition to doing a very thorough search on the response section, I also posted this in Google, Bing, and Yahoo, just to see if it could be located elsewhere. Google was the only one that popped up anything that had the statement Rick made. Take a WILD guess where the quote was found.

Understand, when I say voting in your Prime Minster, I mean that he has to be elected to parliament, like the Senate Majority Leader leader has to be elected into the Senate.

I don't know if secession is illegal and treason, simply because Abe Lincoln says so. Abe isn't the shiny flawless man northern historians make him out to be. But that's another thread.

Secession is offensive to the liberal, because the concept of self-government and the will of the people is anathema to the liberal. To the liberal, people are answerable to the central government. To a liberal the central government isn't answerable to the people. Liberals want us all enslaved to the central government so they can run our lives. Liberals are actually communists.

So yeah, don't expect communists to warm up to any ideas of people detaching from the control of any central government.

States can willingly join, and states can willingly leave. This has always been about government by the people. Unfortunately our communist friends in "Amerika" haven't warmed up to that idea yet.

liberals are communists...................... BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA so um who taught you to think this?

Um, Im going to be nice, because Im just going to assume you have a very basic understanding of politics. If Texas were to secede, based on the way the electoral college works, any future republican candidates will have a far harder time getting elected in the remaining US states, because Texas equals a huge amount of electoral college votes, which historically have gone to the republican candidate. I never said still was a republican nor that all texans were. However the states electoral college votes, normally go to the republican candidate which is why i wouldnt mind them leaving.

Actually, I do know how the electoral college works, and have a very good understanding of how politics works as well. And I admit I've been sick a lot the last few weeks, but quite honestly, the comment did not come across to me about the electoral votes and politics, but more as saying as if all of Texas was Republican.

Don't laugh. I'd wager that more than half of the regular posters on this board think that way. It would be funny if it weren't so prevalent.

The Obama administration gave "the Internet" a chance to influence policy. They clearly don't understand "the Internet".

More than a dozen petitions sprung up on the White House petitions website "We The People" this weekend asking for various states to be allowed to secede from the United States after President Barack Obama won reelection.
The Texas petition was the first, and most detailed, listing complaints such as the Transportation Security Administration and the National Defense Authorization Act, which petitioners called "blatant abuses" of their rights.
According to the White House website, if any petition garners 25,000 signatories, the administration will respond. Previous petitions have asked the US government to acknowledge the existence extraterrestrials, and to reveal the White House beer recipe, along with countless others dealing with the legalization of marijuana.

I have read through this forum and no one has picked up on the spiritual issue at hand.
I thought you guys were christians? How is it you miss the spiritual???
What you are seeing is the nation's chickens coming home to roost.

An unrest broke out in the Middle East and is still going on. Who did this nation side with?
Let's take Libya. I never saw or heard anyone, other than myself support Colonel Gaddafi.
Gaddafi was God's annointed leader of Libya, yet person after person, even the President of the
USA, supported taking Gaddafi out. The nation support the "rebels". Well, the chickens have
come hom to roost now. You got rebellion in your own country now. Clinton went after Milosevic
without cause. Bush Jr went into Iraq and took out Saddam, without cause, With the USA's
support, Gaddafi was removed. The nation, as a whole, supported the endeavors. The nation
still supports the rebels, in the country of the uprising. I spoke against such support in this forum.
Those people were God's annointed leaders and when you go against such people, you go
against God. This isn't an action of righting a wrong, such as what Hitler and Japan did, in WWII,
but siding with rebellious people, against God's annointed. ANd now you got it in your own country.

While the tide turns it will become apparent that the most violent threatening nations were waving peace while committing great crimes against humanity......

mans idea of democracy achieves what?

compliant slaves....

Is it always the case that "God's appointed leader" is in charge or is it possible that the current leader is NOT God's appointed leader and they need to be taken out? Talk about deliberately misunderstanding scripture!

Given that scheme Obama is God's appointed leader and how dare you protest his presidency!

Hi GBU all

Obama won lets not tare the USA apart by being sore losers !!
why not just say **the will of the people has spoken**

and let it go at that and all work together to build the USA into the country that you can be proud of

Dont get all cought up in hate ,,,that never Gods will

BADDOG

Hi Trax.

I agree with a lot of what you have to say. I, too, have been against all of the military actions this country has taken in the last 50 years. I think it's been wrong for us to step in and assist rebels overthrow their leaders, no matter how evil those leaders are.

I'm curious about one thing, though:
This isn't an action of righting a wrong, such as what Hitler and Japan did, in WWII,

How are Bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, Gaddhafi, or any of the other leaders you mention any different from Hitler? All of them wanted to commit genocide. How can you say with certainty that Hitler was not appointed by God to lead Germany while these other people were? Or are you saying it's okay that we engaged in WWII because we were bombed first, and just defending ourselves, rather than attacking?

Or perhaps when the victims are Jews, they are more worthy of our protection than when they are Muslims?

Just wondering what your thinking is, and how far your loyalty to "caesar" would go.

,,,,,,,,not quite so either, you see i was born in Texas, and later traveled abroad then in the midst obtaining (duel citizenship) now at anytime i by law could "denounce citizenship" from either nation,,,where the caution comes in,you see "research denouncing citizenship" ,if you sign your name on an official document stating your your desire to no longer be a united states citizen (it is a legal document) if for instance i was in the Netherlands and hand wrote a letter had it filed through a government office stating my intention to not be a u.s. citizen and sent it to the u.s. government (it is legal) so after this all u.s. benefits or rights extended by the u.s. government stop, they will not uphold my rights, give me social security, ect. past this point.,,,,now look at the wording in the petitions of the various states (that are being signed on an official u.s.web page)notice that rick perry has already stated it not to be the state of Texas desire to secede,,but rather these petition signers.,,,so how will this be treated?,,,you see these individual citizens have signed their name on a document at the white house stating their desire to no longer be u.s. citizens.,,,,now for each state to secede the (elected officials of the given state) must file the intent to secede,,all of the people each state must decide then have their state officials seek to secede.,,,that is we will have to see how they receive these petitions by private individuals are they signing away their citizenship? ,,,,you see as you say "look at your own government",,,i did,,i put the brakes on and saw to not sigh my name and file it at the capital to denounce my u.s. citizenship,,,

What I was saying, is that the Monarch of Netherlands has very little say in what laws are created. Instead, the parliament creates the laws. And the Parliament is voted in by the people. If the people do not like the job the parliament does, then they are voted out. Simple as that. It's very much similar to our "We the People" ruling as you so called it. You were denouncing the U.S. BECAUSE of this very policy that your own country does.
