Mary was the physical mother of Christ yes, but not like a goddess or anything.

God used her as an instrument of his will, like he does prophets and his people.

I got into so many scuffles with classmates when I went to catholic school, because I absolutely refused to pray to Mary. I see no point. The bible says the only mediator to God is Christ, not his physical birth mother.

I mean no disrespect, and I have respect of Mary because she was a woman of strong faith in God - but she is no less a sinner than I am, for Jesus Christ came to seek not the righteous but the sinners ( Matthew 9:13)

And Mary was one of those people who were sought.

Not sure who denies her physically lol, all I know is that everyone kept pestering me to pray to the woman as if she was some divine being.

No.

And since Jesus Christ was God in the flesh, I've met some catholics who take this to mean she's like the mother of God? Don't think God has a mother and if he did, it wouldn't be a sinner he created himself :p

I dunno.

That's my two cents lol

Ok,so u want to say that mother do not give soul to the child, but growing in her womb and birth, right?

This is normally,of course, because soul creat God,not mother. No one here do not claim that Mary create Jesus Christ because that is nonsense. But she gave Him earthly birth,He was in her womb,in her wing,He drank her milk as all childrens, eat food that she prepared. How then she isnt His mother?

God have no begining and have no end,but give a little sense please, sinse when God have manifested in the flesh, sinse then He(Jesus Christ) have mother and that is Ever-Virgin Mary the Theotokos.

Erm no lol.

God gave the breath of life to us, that is our soul ( Genesis 2:7) not our physical mothers.

Mary was no more than Jesus's physical mother. She has no divine authority above God or like God.

I never denied her being Jesus's physical mother - but that is all she was, and a faithful woman of God. Even when she said she was the " mother of God," in the original post, she meant PHYSICALLY not spiritually.

God chooses the people he wants to use - sorry to be so vague, but Mary is no more special than the other prophets God elected to do his will because of their faith and love for him.

And what happens if I don't adhere to Mary?

Yep.

Nothing...

yes all mother's are our physical mothers - but in my experience, catholics treat Mary like she is the actual spiritual mother of God, like she has some divine authority like God.

I don't understand where that idea even came from?

Nonsense coming from not understanding of the concept of departed Saints.

By intercession of Ever-Virgin Mary, the Mother of God,but intercession to who?THE ANSWER IS TO JESUS!REMEMBER THAT ONE'S FOR ALL TIMES!And plese stop asking me that.

The spotless maiden is led by the Holy Spirit to dwell in the Holy of Holies. She, who is truly the most holy temple of our holy God, is fed by an angel. He has sanctified all things by her entry, and has made godlike the fallen nature of mortal men.

Lol geo i chuckled at that one, the spotless maiden indeed lol.

I have to question this geo and i have looked up your text and it of orthodox origin.

Spotless Or not i think this meaning refers to her perfection of being sinless ,(what do you think geo).

Ask your self this geo would mary have been able to survive the holy of holies if she was spotless Or sinless

why would I stop asking that? it makes no sense. i do not need Mary to lead me to Jesus. he has given us many things which lead us to Jesus. the words of the prophets. The scripture written by his chosen. The HS who convicts me and teaches me. The law, which leads me to know I need him. Christ is the only intersessor. Mary can do nothing for me. She can do nothing, because God has already done it all..

No, because she was not authorized to god there, only the high priest was. not to mention. no jew in the priesthood would have allowed her anywhere near the Holy of Holies. remember she was a sinner according to them. I doubt she would have been aloud anywhere near the inside of the temple. let alone near the curtain.

No according to orthodox teaching mary was capable of sin but she succesfully resisted sin her whole life .

Hence the imaculate conception belief of rc.

Hence the planting of seed in mary from birth.

Hence mary being the new eve.

Thats ok. I look to scripture. not what some church teaches. mary was not sinless. Scripture proves it.

Hence the imaculate conception belief of rc.

Hence the planting of seed in mary from birth.

Hence mary being the new eve.
hence pagainistic teaching brought into the church. the heresy of all heresies.

God created man in his image and out of the man came women.

Unforntunately they sinned Adam and eve. And we where not saved.

Só Hence Jesus blood washed are sins away because his mother was sinless also .
Só we where saved

This is how im understanding rc belief

lol. where do you get this? Jesus blood washed our sin BECAUSE HE WAS SINLESS. mary being sinless or not had nothing to do with our forgiveness.

I hope you don;t believe it!

Im getting it from reading roman catholic beliefs about imaculate conception .

About mary being the perfect temple for Jesus só he was been born with perfection
Of the flesh .

Just like god created Adam and eve of the flesh , but they sinned.

Só im thinking Maybe god did not want to get it wrong this time.

Hence the imaculate conception belief .
And the beliefvof rc

God did not want to get it wrong?? lol..

Adam was created perfect. in unity with God. not dead to him. So was Jesus. Unlike us, who are born in adam. Christ was born outside of adam (hence the virgine birth)

In adam we all die, In Christ we shall all be made alive (if we trust him)

In mary,, well um.. She was a very faithful person. To be held in high esteem for her faith. But no more than any prophet of the OT. or any other great man of God who has been used of him.

I think your seeing the rc catholic belief in the wrong light.

Heresy Or not rc simply belief that for the seed to grow god would of wanted the perfect temple. To be untouched by imperfection

Só Even if this was só mary is no different to eve .
In the sence that eve was still gods child .
Just because rc believe mary was a new eve it Does not mean they hold her more higher than god

there is a HUGE difference in saying the seed HAS to grow in that invironment, and it did. It did not have to, it still had the flaws of sin. It suffered, it died. Sin caused that. so why would it have to be grown in a perfect environment. Sounds like a bunch of mumbo jumbo to me.

Mary us hugely different. Eve was taken from adam. mary was born of her mother and father, and she was born in sin.

Eve was born perfect. mary was born dead to God

Eve was born without the need of Grace, and not in need of a savior. Mary was born in need of Grace, and needed a savior.

In the sence that eve was still gods child .
Just because rc believe mary was a new eve it Does not mean they hold her more higher than god
it goes way deeper than that. It is not just based on one belief they have.

Well Maybe thats Why god Got it wrong the first time because the women was taken out of man, Adam and eve .

Only the next time he reversed it and the second Adam came out of the women .
I say Adam not as in Jesus but in the sence in which he created Adam an eve.

Sorry, but we all can intersessing to Jesus for others,by our prayers. That is what do the Saints also, but much more powerful, because they r very dear to God and they are alredy in Christ.
I dont know which sect u attended, but this what u claim is pure nonsense and coming from high unknowlede.Do not listen to that man who put those things in your head, but read those who are Saints.
