I'm a real sweet, real nice girl that likes long walks onthe beach and horses. I don't drive, and I'm real good at riding the bus. I sing nonstop, and I can't cook to save my life. I'm 5'1. That's my story, and I'm stickng to it! As far as superpowers, I don't think I have any unless feminine charms count

haha how's that for a 'what I have to offer' ad?

I don't drive either, I'm also a bus aficionado :) Oh and I do believe feminine charms count.

(Secret super power): if you take me a to a movie starring comic book characters or cartoons... I might actually know who a few of the characters are... though I am a little out of date. For instance... my favorite character I'm looking forward to seeing on the big screen in the upcoming G.I. Joe movie will be... (drumroll) Snake Eyes. (Scarlett, Duke...and who was that big black guy... who used to rhyme? I think? As I said, I'm a little out of date... would be my runner-ups.)

Bonus: I always offer to pay my own way. But it sure is nice if you offer on the first date.

Hey everybody,

I'm surprised more people haven't posted what they feel they have to offer someone (as I said before, silly or serious.)

I was wondering if maybe that's because you never really thought about it before? As in, maybe you're suffering from low self-esteem and don't really know what you have to offer someone? I am NOT saying that in a critical way at all--of course we all have insecurities, but I was wondering if more people didn't post their "dating qualifications resume" because they are afraid ("I have nothing to offer," "No one would want me," etc.)

I know we all have issues with those kinds of thoughts... I just thought it would be interesting because, while we all want someone and there are tons of threads stating what WE want in someone else... do we think of it from God's perspective--to have a heart willing to serve the other person? I could easily fill a page with what I'm looking for in someone... but how many lines or spaces can I fill in being able to state what I have to offer the person I'm looking for?

If you're someone who doesn't think you have much to offer, maybe you can post it and we can help you with some encouragement or advice.

If you looked at dating as a potential employment opportunity (a chance to serve), what would you say to convince that person to "hire" you? (Again, silly or serious, feel free to share :) ).

I'll give it a go, why not? (After all, everyone at my church says I'm a real catch - but they're all married and about 40 years older than me...)

Hi, I'm Anne. I recently created the best sandwich in the world which is basically a grilled cheese with fried egg in it. I love music, both making it and listening to it, and I'm a total movie trivia nut (if you quote a line wrong, I just might correct you). I love games, and by that I mean the kind that come in a box or with a set of rules or something, and not the psychological kind that some people play in relationships.

I'm a church music director and I'm trying to be a better Christian but I'm a work in progress. I was planning on being a music theorist but I decided to be an ethnomusicologist instead (and only partly because it's a cooler word). So I'm looking into PhD programs for the fall of 2010. I'm independent, open-minded, playful, caring, funny, and determined. And if that all weren't enough, I'm also a good driver.

I dont cook, I hate cleaning. Unless you want your shirt set on fire i wouldnt ask me to iron. Basically i dont ''do'' houses, or anything in them. I eat greenbeans out of the can, and i hate jeans that havent been put in the dryer! It really makes me mad! Who wants to put on crunchy pants... ITS DISGUSTING!
Now that we have gone through my finer points.. here are some things i dont have to offer you....... food, Shelter, Basic hygeine, smelly pits, and a chuck norris poster on the ceiling of your room so you can say good morning and goodnight to him.

The phrase "Crunchy pants" has now been accepted into my regular vocabulary because of it's undeniable awesomeness. Thanks!!!
