here is my take on once saved always is when you see truth and know that God just love you period
THE DECEPTION
What is deception? Nothing more than lies, what did Jesus say: John 8:43-45
New King James Version (NKJV)
43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.
John 8:54-56 New King James Version (NKJV)
54 Jesus answered, “If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your God. 55 Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”
Did anyone catch that John 8:54 if I honor myself? How many of us do this even not being aware of this Let us look at a quote from C.S. Lewis
PEOPLE BLUSH AT PRAISE--NOT ONLY PRAISE OF THEIR BODIES, BUT PRAISE OF ANYTHING THAT IS THEIRS
Do any of you see the deception, what are our bodies or anything that we gain here on earth? What does anything of this world matter as in worrying over it? Why are we trying so hard to have others on our side, seeing things our way only giving no consideration to our fellow neighbor loving them as Christ has and does love you unconditionally? Are we more special than others or are we all the same from God’s vantage point since Christ went to the cross and took away all sin from his Father’s sight so Father can deal with us on the basis of a new nature, not seeing any sin in you, me or anyone else upon belief that his Son took it all away at the cross.
John 1:29-31
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! 30 This is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ 31 I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”
So you see this: God the Father is not dealing with any one anymore on the basis of sin and death after Jesus and the cross.
Hebrews 1:1-4
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Again our sins are purged and Christ’s work is finished as Christ yelled this from the cross right before he died
John 19:30
30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
What was finished? Was it his work that he came to do? What was his work that he had to accomplish?
Matthew 5:17
17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I DID NOT COME TO DESTROY BUT TO FULFILL
For whom did he come to fulfill the law and prophets? Was it for himself? How could that be when he said in John 8:54 Jesus answered, “If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing.
So whom was he honoring was it not his Father? Yes it was his Father he did nothing or said nothing unless his Father told him to? How did his Father communicate with him? Would that be by the Holy Ghost that descended upon him in the form of a dove? This is what John the Baptist said: John 1:32 And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.
Now this Holy Spirit that descended upon Jesus is the one that directed Jesus throughout the 3years that he represented his Father who lived in him by the Holy Ghost correct?
And Jesus is sat down at the right hand of the Father at rest correct his Job is finished? At the end of Hebrews 1:3 sat down, work done IT IS FINISHED as John 19:30 states
So he did not fill the law and prophets for himself for if he honored himself it would have been for nothing. So who did he do this for? Why it was for the lost sheep of Israel. He fulfilled the Law and prophets for God’s first chosen to bring them out of the first covenant and establish a new covenant with them explained in Hebrews 9:15-17, for the law given to them was made weak by the flesh that they and all are born with. Let us see what God has to say through Paul
Romans 8:3
For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,
Where is sin condemned to? By whom and what act has this been done? So all sin is condemned to the flesh and happened at the death of Christ where he took all sin away in his Father’s sight so Father can live in you, me and anyone that believes through the Holy Ghost that Jesus sent to the day of Pentecost to all that believe forwarded to this very day teaching each and every one of us how to say no to unrighteousness, actually love our neighbor as Jesus and Father have loved us and still do.
So how much does Father and Jesus love you, you and you? Is Jesus or Father counting any sins you might commit or still commit against you after the victory at the cross where all sin has been taken out of the way?
Depending on your answer is exactly how you will treat others. Think about this for a minute, if you do not believe you are forgiven and loved, when you see someone else do what you are trying not to do what is your reaction towards them? Is it Hate that your Spirit shows or love? Is that flesh love coming out as hate telling them they need to stop that kind of behavior?
So if you know that you are loved and forgiven, this you know, what would be your response to this knowing? Would it be thank you and praises to God, and thus would you continue in sin? Or forsake sin by striving to please God from that point on knowing you are loved and forgiven in thankfulness?
Well you all this is where the Deception has come into this world and derailed a lot people thinking they have to obey the Law, when in truth the Law and the prophets are already fulfilled in them through the finished work of Christ at the cross, proven by the resurrection, and so when are we going to come to life. It is by Faith that you are saved and by faith alone in God through the cross of Christ. Let us see what God said through Paul to the Galatians concerning this: Galatians 3: 1-9
O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? 2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 ARE YOU SO FOOLISH? HAVING BEGUN IN THE SPIRIT, ARE YOU NOW BEING MADE PERFECT BY THE FLESH? 4 Have you suffered so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain?
5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, OR BY THE HEARING OF FAITH?— 6 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” 7 THEREFORE KNOW THAT ONLY THOSE WHO ARE OF FAITH ARE SONS OF ABRAHAM. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.
So you all where do works fit in? Works of the law according to scripture above does not produce faith. So again how does works fit in For Abraham did works and it was before the law was ever in place was it not? When the law came along some 430 years later after Abraham is when the chosen race of God started working to obey the Law of Moses and found they could not do it. Was Faith forgotten about when the Law got put in place? And by trying to obey the Law of Moses to the letter they could not see the Mercy of God any longer, and put Sacrifices and gifts above Mercy. Let us see what Jesus said about this:
Matthew 9:13
But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance
Mercy, Mercy, Mercy, compassion, compassion, compassion how is this done by love what is love?
1 Cor. 13:4-6
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 BEARS ALL THINGS, BELIEVES ALL THINGS, HOPES ALL THINGS, ENDURES ALL THINGS.
Hoping you all see truth now praying to God for anyone to hear what the Spirit of truth is saying and we all give up our own efforts trusting God that we are complete in Christ, thus loving as Christ has and does love us
Thank you for listening, Homwardbound
