I would tend to think she'd pick your eyes, as though you do indeed have a lion's mane, it's not generally considered attractive in human circles to brag about one's back hair.
Hey Nuke, I'm losing the hair on my head, so my back hair is all I have left to glory in!!!

Give a guy a break (and give me a Brad Pitt-like toupee if you have an extra one, please!!!).

Why is your self esteem loooowwww? :(

*shurgs* I suspect a mix of things. I over- think things, and I was bullied in school for about eight years straight. And I am absolutely dreadful at sports. I always felt that the stuff I was good at (school theory) , where things no one cared if I was good at. (Most of it won't help me getting a job, as they expect me to know stuff I never learned :p).

Also, in my current job at a call centre, they seem to "rate" of performance by stuff that is totally unrelated to how well we do our job. For instance, by whether we ask for peoples address in the beginning or end of the conversation, or if we use code to do the rest of our job (to keep us from getting new calls through while working), rather than multi- task and do stuff while talking to the next customer. :p)

Asifinpassing... hmmm, lemme think about that at work :p

Green--for many years, I was all over the place as far as church service--prayer groups, conferences, classes, nursery, tweens, toddlers' room, etc. It was also the time when I was writing and talking to inmates, went to a group veterans' home, and assisted some good friends of mine at a soup kitchen and various projects for their own ministry.

I've been very happy the past few years to be kind of just a generic attendee for right now, though I do still attend a Bible class. Simply put, I was majorly burned out and felt God was calling me into a time of rest.

GreenNnice, yes, you're right. The northern and eastern parts of Australia generally have the worst of the snakes and spiders but you can still find enough species of each everywhere else. No, sorry, I haven't seen an anaconda (they're not native to Australia). I've seen brown snakes in the wild and red-bellied black snakes too but thankfully they were killed before they could kill anyone.

Since I left the forums before, I've moved twice...I left the forum not because of the moves, but because I just needed time off.

I've never hunted anything except bad guys. :) I don't have a problem with those who do hunt though, as long as they eat what they kill and do it well. It upsets me to see animals die agonizing deaths for sport.

PopClick--Have you always been so amazingly compassionate and insightful or was it something God taught you through time and experience?
Haha... oh my. No, it's all God. If there's anything good at all in me, it came from Him. Without Jesus, I am a self-seeking troll who thinks the world exists to amuse her. He has been changing me, and I really, REALLY hope He isn't through yet. :)

Indeed!

Strange, too!  :p

"What? No zombie-zapper?? How do you expect me to immobilize a zombie without a zombie-zapper?!?!?" :D

.
Well, you could turn it into a zombie-zapper! I suppose a car antenna isn't enough material, though... so you may also use electrical tape and pumpkin seeds. :D :p

Oh, yeah... It says right here in the instructions:

To convert this bug zapper into a zombie zapper - you will need:

~ car antenna
~ electrical tape
~ pumpkin seeds

.
.
.

NOTE: When functioning properly, the zombie zapper makes a steady recurring Pop-Click noise. Do not be alarmed. This is normal.

Lightnin: what kind of role you serving in your church now?
I'm still just a member. I was out of town during the first of a few "find your place in the church" type meetings. The next one is the end of this month and I can't wait. I'm still waiting and watching and praying, but the day seems to be near. I do really feel a part of my church now which is very encouraging!

Chrisssee: what is your favorite christian singer's song?

That would have to be "When God Made You" I can't remember who it is by.

Or

"I Can't Even Walk Without You Holding My Hand" There are a bunch of different singers but one I like is Shirley Ceasar.

Yeah, cool, deadly poisonous snakes, my kind of high, well, would be, but I live in beautiful but snake-boring Washington State. One day, thevl Lord leads, I will go to Queensland, better yet, Darwin . I think I meant, 'pythons,' as I saw PBS public tv show 20 years ago where a python , 20 foot long, thick snake was, literally, going up out of the mud, like a cobra, and, sinking back in. Turned out, this snake was stuck in.the mud, drowning, in fact, quite sad it would be for animal lovers like julieannie :D

That's coool, seoulsearching, seasons in our lives for everything. I could so see you teaching junior high kids, with all your energy and creative writing abilities, I bet those gifts would translate perfectly to teens :)

A member, good lightninbro, keep on blessing Him, showing your faith in Him and He WILL lead you to do great things that WILL increase your faith. Remember, those spiritual gifts from test taken, yours KNOWN are from Him, never forget, all that happens in our life is testing that God allows Satan to us do or God tests us to strengthen and faith in Him :)

I got bullied at school alot too. People in this world often say or do things that hurt us. Just remeber that He loves us, and sent His Son to die for us. What we feel about ourselves and what is true about us do not often coincide. Jesus said that you are the salt and light of the world, that you are His friend and God's child. Do not let the world tell you that you are worthless because that is a lie.
Whatever has happened in your past has refined and tempered you into the wonderful person you are today. Your strength of character is evident to all those who know you here. Do not judge yourself by earthly means, and remember that the Judge knows you, cares about you, understands you and His opinion is the only one that counts through eternity.

PS. What does your name mean? (Sorry if this was already posted I missed it :) )

Ok, so PopClick's "Best Post Ever" thread got me thinking of my favorite THREAD ever, one that Julianna started about a year ago wherein we could ask each other (not TOO personal) questions about our offline lives and experiences. I would bump the thread to bring it back, but since it got majorly derailed toward the end, I'm just starting a new one (that's right, I'm a shameless plagiarist ;)).

So, I figured that since there are a lot of new members now and always new things to wonder about, here ya go! :)

P.S. Keep in mind that just because someone asks you a question here, doesn't mean that you have to answer it. If anything is too personal or just something you don't want to answer, that's perfectly ok.
I really dont understand this post, what on earth does it have to do with leading the lost church to a true saving faith??

And I really dont understand your avatar, it looks evil, and pagan, like a vodoo doll.

I know I will be hated and called many names for posting here, but what good is a post like this when its void of any truth??

Can you Sin and Not Die?
“You will not surely die!” Satan, Gen3:4
Most ProfessingChristians today Do Not Believe that if they Live according to their fleshlydesires they will die Spiritually. For ifyou live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put todeath the deeds of the body, you will live Rom8:13
The reasons for this vary, among them are:
Substitution, Moral Transfer, Pre-forgiveness of sin & Eternal Security. But Regardless:

The Constant among Professing Christians isto argue in favor of sin, by trusting in the above fallacies and mimicking thecommon excuses that:
‘We’re Born in Sin, Saved in Sin and Can Never Stop Sinning, because no one canbe as Perfect as God’
When told they Must get clear of their wrong doings in the process ofRepentance BEFORE God will pardonthem or grant His Holy Spirit to indwell their soul, they always retreat to theadage: “If we could stop sinning we wouldn’t need Jesus and could saveourselves!”
However, as someone once said; “Neither can they Stop sinner AFTER they have Jesus!”

Let’s Clarify what kinds of Sin we aretalking about here. What is it youMust STOP doing to inheritthe Kingdom?
The collective opinion is NOTHING, only UNBELIEF will keep you out of theKingdom. Therefore such vile behavior as listed below are widespread amongprofessed Christians:

1Cor6:9-10, Gal5:19-21, Eph5:5-7,
Fornication, idolatry (double-mined love of world), adultery, homosexuality, thieves, covetousness, drunkards, foul mouthed, murder, hatred, contention, Jealously, outburst of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, heresy, uncleanness, filthiness, coarse jesting and foolish talking. Add to this: Mass complacency, obstinate, outright rebellionto God’s authority, Disobedience to the Lord’s Commands, total Disregard ofBible Truth!

Under the Common Sin, Repent, Sin RepentModel of 1John1:8-9, anything goes and all is forgiven. If anyone claims theydo not commit such sins unto death, they are Purified in heart & mind, walking Obediently, Doing what is Right by faith working by love, they areimmediately called a LIAR, Self Righteous hypocrite, angry Judge, Lost.
But this is from People who think:
They are Born and Saved in Sin that all Sins are the same & No One can everStop Sinning. Strike Four!
Digging themselves out of this Deception is almost impossible. That’s why it’scalled: Strong Delusion.

Inthe Bible we find MANY ‘Righteous’ Saints, Pure before God:
Paul Acts24:16
Thisbeing so, I myself alwaysstrive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.

Again 2Tim5:
7 [SUP] [/SUP]I thank God,whom I serve with a pure conscience, as myforefathers did, as withoutceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day,

More:
1Thes2:10You arewitnesses, and God also, howdevoutly and justly and blamelessly we behaved ourselves among you who believe;

Heb13:18 Pray for us; for we are confident that we have a goodconscience, in all things desiring to live honorably.

2Thes2:
9but tomake ourselves an example of how you should follow us. 1Cor11:1 Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.

Luke1:6 And they were both righteous before God,walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
The OT Testifies of Many Righteous Saints fromMoses to Job, Daniel, Noah (Ezk14:14, Dan6:22) The Righteous people warned inEzk18, The Righteous in Contrast to the Wicked all through Proverbs and Psalms.DOING what is Right by Faith is EXACTLY what the Truly Saved will do!Because those who sin are of the devil 1Jh3:8 & Are SLAVES to sin! Jh8:34
If a Person has NOT laid aside all filthiness and overflow of wickednessand received with meekness the implanted Word (that is able to save your soul!)he is NOT a Christian! (Js1:21) TheVery Purpose of the Commandment Christ Delivered is ‘Purity, Sincerity andLove!’ 1Tim1:5, based on Matt22:37-40 Lord’s own Words! If the Faith youclaim to have in Jesus has not Truly PURIFIED your heart of Lust (flesh, eye, pride of life) you’re DECEIVED!
TheCharge of Sinless Perfection (of which every Saint sited above would beguilty of today)
Anyone who promotes this kind of Devotion, loyalty and Purity of heart beforeGod is instantly charged with Preaching ‘Sinless Perfection’ and brandeda hypocrite, accused of all manner of vile things.

If abstaining from the vile sins we arediscussing here is being as Perfect as God then we can offer you no furtherexplanation but such as we have from Bible Scripture ….. Which of course youwill counter with:
The Filthy Rags of Isa64:6, Desperately wicked heart of Jer17:9-10, RomansWretch of Rom7:14 and Chief of Sinners of 1Tim1:15 …(not to mention also 1Jh:8and a few select passages from the OT)

Let me try and be honest with you here andappeal to your sense of reason. NO ONE can be or is Required to be as PERFECTas GOD in the Bible. We are required to ‘Go and Sin no More!’ Jh5:14, 8:11. Although we will NEVER:
Be Perfect in Knowledge, Free from Ignorance, Free from defects, Mistakes inJudgment, Or infirmity of the flesh.

HOWEVERcan IndeedBe Perfect as your heavenly Father is Perfect’ Mt5:48, BY:
Obedience to the Truth, 1Pet1:22, Walking in the Spirit, Rom8:1-4, PerfectingHoliness, 2Cor7:1, Holding fast in full confidence, Steadfast to the end,Heb3:3,14, Hungering & Thirsting after Righteousness, Mt5:6, Fearing andloving God & Hating Sin, Prov8:13, Ps97:10, Abstaining from everyappearance of evil, 1Thes5:22, Keeping yourself Pure, 1Jh3:3, 5:18, 1Tim5:22,Keeping the body under, 1Cor9:27, Choosing to Do Good! Isa1:16-17

NOW be honest with me (if you will) DOES any of this Sound even remotelylike what you believe and are being taught in the Churches about sinning dailyin thought, word and deed? Is it EARNINGyour Salvation, Legalist Works, Self Justification, to OBEY God asdirected above and abstain from Fleshly Lust? WHY Claim to have Repented ofanything or even Have the Holy Spirit if you Cannot STOP Lust of flesh, eye & Pride? 1Jh2:15-16
Nearly everyone today says they cannot Stopsinning until they have Received Jesus to help them. IF that is True WHY Doesthe Sin NEVER STOP And the Clean Up NEVERHappens! You think that falling into Fornications, Drunkenness, adultery, perversions, uncleanness and filthiness of the flesh are just Mistakes God willforgive if you apologize, but never completely forsake. (since no one canaccording to the excuses)
Therefore we Must Part Ways with the ‘noone is Perfect’ crowd because to them ‘all sin is the same’
Filthiness, Uncleanness, fornication, Drunkenness is equal to a Mistakein Judgment or Wrong Decision, so intheir eyes BY NECESSITY weMUST be Liars and filthy minded sinners …. Just like them. Sins of the Lust anduncleanness will Not Keep them OUT of the Kingdom, they can SIN AND NOT DIE,so their preachers have told them, because Jesus was their Moral & PerfectSubstitute and Obeyed in their place to Pre-forgive their sins. It sounds to melike Satan has their ear Gen3:4, Not God ‘Depart from Iniquity’ 2Tim2:19

The Proverbs Constantly tell us that a Person who hates instruction, knowledge, reproof, is wicked and Stupid. Paul said a time would come whenPeople would no longer endure Sound Doctrine that promotes godly behavior andreproves sinners. (2Tim4:2-5) The Prophets warned of a time when people would callgood evil and evil good Isa5:20. Such is what we see today among theProfessed, to them abstaining from Vile sins of the flesh is being 100% Sinlessand Unbelief is the ONLY Sin God will Judge to Hell! www.standingthegap.org

I don't hate you Tommy, and I doubt anyone will call you names. You're actually kind of adorable, but in a mixed-up sort of way.

The reason your uber-text posts do so little good is because there isn't much love apparent in them...not saying that you don't love people, but you seem to do an excellent job of hiding it ;).

As or what good a thread like this could do.....God can use anything He wants, can't He? We are called to encourage one another, and build each other up.....I've seen some of that going on here, and it's a good thing :).

You may not realize this, but when you preach nothing but fire and brimstone, you are actually pushing people AWAY from God. Jesus said that the greatest commandment is to LOVE God with all our heart, soul, and mind...it's kind of hard to properly love someone you're terrified of, no? ;)

Anyways, please pray about your approach, because it could definitely use work.

Thanks for the new sig! :) -Nichole
