You know, Chrissy, those are pretty cool things to want :) I know how you feel, actually.......don't give up, sometimes God doesn't answer right away. He sees your situation, He loves you to pieces, and I'm sure He'll reveal His plan at the right time. But I know you already know that. :)

As for helping me pester NiceguyJ to post more....Thanks! If he hasn't put us both on "ignore" by the end of the month, we have failed our mission. :p
Thank you, Nichole!

I try to keep "reality" out of the forum but it invades my life at times, kwim?
The past month has been one of the most trying, confusing, heart-breaking times of my life. The good thing is, it has brought me to my knees more. I know this won't make any sense to anyone else, but I just want to have a "normal" life with just "normal" worries that people go through, like sickness and finances. There are days I think I can't take one more day like today without falling apart.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program....

LOL!!! I didn't think of that... (I guess someone can condemn me for having demons of oversight as well.)

I guess I've always told God... if the only ones left standing are the ones who feel called to judge everyone else... Jesus said it's the sick who need The Doctor, not those who already think they're well. They might have a few surprises in store for them... as did the "religious leaders of the day." ("Away from Me... I never knew you.") He healed on the Sabbath--they called him the devil and said it was only by Satan's power that He was able to heal.

I'm sorry Arwen... I don't mean to disrespect your thread in anyway... Some things just really get my goat. (Get it? Goat? Ha ha ha. As in, sheep vs. goats...) *Slinks back into the shadows of darkness.*

The fact that you capitalized The Doctor only made me think of this one:

Jilly: what missions trip u evr been on, bes memory?
Greeno, as the first person to ask me specifically a question, you shall receive the first answer =D.

Most of my talking to people about Jesus has come about simply by starting with a "hello", followed by other chat, then later asking them if they go to church anywhere, or some other question (or even better, I get a chance to mention His awesomeness after the other person says something that gives me a good opening). I meet a lot of people in the work that I do, and it's generally pretty easy to talk to them about Jesus. It wasn't at first, but I knew it was my duty, and hopefully I care about the lost as well (not trying to judge my own heart here :)).

Hey I need someone to say something memorable about me so I can use it as my signature. That does NOT go for Matthew because I know his would be smart comment, lol.
"A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise." That's just what pops into my head when I think of Chrissy. :)

Clickpoppity--you're a smart, analytical gal, HOW did you get that way, and, yer also with a lot of spunk, so...?
Hmm... I'm tempted to come back to this one. I'm only willing to analyze things that I care about. And it takes a certain type of person to bring out my analytical side. I mostly keep it to myself, because people will usually either not understand me, or they'll ask me what I'm thinking but not actually want to know. So, I could say that certain people make me that way, but that's not really true. I'm like that all the time, but it doesn't always show. I guess I've got to blame God, and maybe James 1:5. :)

PopClick: Your goldfish are currently in my living room, trying to sell me a time-share in Bora-Bora. I have told them I'm not interested, but they won't leave. To make matters worse, the smaller one (I think it's Bingo) isn't wearing a stitch of clothing. Are you going to come get them, or should I call the cops?
Wait, are you saying that Skeeter IS wearing clothes?
Go ahead and call the cops; I can't come get them because I'm in Bora-Bora right now.

Surrounded by nature. Something about being surrounded by God's creation induces a feeling of tranquility that I get nowhere else.

You stole my answer...which is why typing this in a hotel room in beautiful sunny Michigan is making me feel all funny. To the right, you see my car, and to the left, you see a huge power transformer which will likely give me a tumor. Oh, and the sky is up there, somewhere.

And that's all Chrissy has to say about that.

^^It's not great, but you can sig. it if you want. :) I'm really sorry about what you're going through, Chrissy :(. I think I know how you feel and I'll drop you a message, ok? *hugs* ♥

PopClick & Beloved Miss K:
I think Bingo's lack of wardrobe has more to do with obliviousness then anything, so I'm not especially offended. Skeeter is actually wearing a very fancy hat.....it doesn't provide much coverage, but I appreciate the attempt at propriety. It really is time for them to move on, though......I'm not sure if I should call the BBB or the ASPCA!

Stuey: Have you ever dropped a Mentos in someone's diet Coke? If not, please explain yourself.

JimJimmers: You recently related a story wherein your sister forced you to carry 48 rolls of toilet paper through a crowded grocery store, while fellow shoppers stared and speculated. Have you completed therapy yet, and what other socially devastating situations has your sister put you through?

lol No, it isn't. The guy in the picture is from a Canadian t.v. show called Radio Active. As a young lad, I used to watch it when it was about cable and chunky television sets. Not like the kids these days with their fancy-schmancy flat screen t.v.'s and their netflix. At least back in the day you got a massive work out to carry your t.v. from point A, B, C, and D. Let me explain a little further with song and interpretive dance.

Ritter: What drew you to politics? Were you interested in them as a child, as well? How far do your aspirations go......president, maybe? Or perhaps you prefer playing a behind-the-scenes-role? And have I asked you too many questions?
Good question. I could write a book on what drew me to politics. I'm actually starting my memoirs for my own reference. So much has happened in the last 3 years alone that I'm afraid I'll forget about many of the fun little adventures I've had.

Politics drew me morally and scientifically. I have not, unlike some, been planning my rise to power since age five. I was simply a person with moral scruples and vision who saw that societies rise and fall based on temporal political action. 9/11 awakened me to how special this country was, and, more or less, dedicated my life to better understanding it and preserving its foundation principles even if it happens to pass away in my lifetime. Keep the torch burning as it were.

Though I wasn't sure how to be a warrior for my cause. Education? Administration? The military? The courts?

Well, I prayed and God laid out the course. I never would have guessed campaigns and raw, crusade-like activism.

As for my future plans? I want to do many things, but never run for office. Organize movements and political victories, yes. After I graduate school, I'll probably manage a state-level race. Some tell me I might be able to do congressional given what I've already done. After that I would like to do something organizationally for the conservative movement; bridging the gap between the conservative activists and political operatives who are, in our era, not communicating very well.

And writing! Oh there are days I write a few pages of scifi and wish that is what I could do indefinitely. Then again, I would probably get bored and itch to mount my horse, grasp my lance and sally forth as I am.

No problem! I don't mind answering most questions, hahaha.

Ritter - Did you ever ask out that one girl? I have a pretty good memory and I remember that one of the first threads I posted on a few weeks ago was where you were questioning whether it'd be creepy to call up a girl you hadn't talked to in a while and ask her out. How did that go?
No, I didn't. For multiple reasons. :(

Ritter: You strike me as someone who must know multiple languages, do you?
German is the only foreign language I speak with any proficiency. I can also read and write in Spanish. Speak or listen? Ha!

Oh yeah, Green.

My favorite political movie is The Lives of Others about life in Eastern Germany before the end of the Cold War.

As for actual political movies, I generally dislike them. Why? There are exciting, and inspiring elements of my field they could focus in on, but because they do not conform to widely-perceived stereotypes they are shunned. The small, magical, victory celebrations before election day in which you and your volunteers toast a hard day's work. Your superior shouting at you like a drill sergeant while you put the phone on mute and laugh your butt off. The gentleman who walks into your office thinking he can be Vice President having run a prison in Wyoming. Flirtation with pretty press ladies that happens automatically because you haven't seen a really good-looking woman reasonably close to your age in months. The long, beautiful, scenic drives. The multiple days without sleep culminating in your entire county being knocked and data freshly uploaded to hq. Spending the nights on a cot in the office excited about the next day.

All small things, but so symbolically important and almost magical in scope. We operatives live to fight, bleed, and lead, smiling the entire time.

No, instead we get the Ides of March in which all you are greeted with is over-dramatized sex and intrigue. Pure smuttiness to fit people's already poor conceptions of what campaigns mean or at least what they could mean.

Okay, /rant.

The Lives of Others is a brilliant movie though. Definitely one I draw political inspiration from.

See, now you all are going to be hesitant to ask me a question.

Give me an inch, I write a novel.

Asifinpassing: Something that is not commonly known about me.....hmm. Despite the fact that I almost never target-practice, I'm a rather good marksman. Not sure why. What's something that's not commonly known about you? :)
I hear you. A similar dynamic also proves to rule for me from time to time.

Me?! I don't know if you wanna ask that, lol...I'm an interesting Book and cover. =p
Well, let's see...I've got beautiful feet except for a curved, middle toe on my left foot (dominant trait in males from Dad's side).

Ritt, I bet you liked the brazen rolling stones reporter, glass movie, but forget title. And, all the president's men, and, some espionage (i bet you watched '24,' and guessing you like good complicated tv, that's intrigingly interesting like Person Of Interest.
Just guessing, using some journalist's intuition, am I right or do you demand a 'recount.' :)

Good answer, popclickety, yeah, just you, how God gifted you, fraught with analyses, and, sweet sarcasm ability too, i might just now didn't I add. :)

SmileOn, what about you, I see you did a 'like' on a post, so...
