I think the idea of the opening post is not to say these are all individual sins, but combined all these can serve as a bad distraction, making us avoid God. I personally think the message of this thread is a good one, as long as you view it correctly.
As for whether or not non-christian music is a sin, it really depends on the person. Now, as explained to me, this is what we call a "sin of the heart". It's kinda like asking yourself if it's alright to play video games, or watch certain movies, it really matters how it effects you. As long as music does not weaken your relationship with God, or if you don't feel it's wrong in your heart, it's not a sin.
