if you have all night...maybe you can spend it searching for a roman catholic -bible- where the commandment has been deleted...

Do we go to the Talmudeans of today, or do we remain faithful to the Word of God? Why do you suppose these references are in the Book Revelation? Do you keep the commandments of God, or do you rewrite them and teach contrary to them?

jesus taught against idolatry elsewhere...but interestingly he never tells anyone to observe the sabbath...not here or in any other passage...in fact he missed every opportunity he was given to say so...

Jesus did not come to destroy the Law. Everything He did and taught was in accordance with the Law.To say otherwise is to go against what the Bible teaches.

That kind of thinking is silly. This is a Bible discussion forum, is it illegal to discuss a topic in the Bible as the Sabbath of the Lord? It looks like you would be happier if no one spoke about the Lord's day.

This had nothing to do with anyone else's beliefs or convictions, but mine alone. I sincerely want to follow God and His commandments, after all Jesus said "if you love me you will obey me" since I love Him, I want to obey Him

When placing my own comment it appears with the words of Revelation, and I do not want it construed as if I were deliberately attempting to make it seem to be part of the quote: "Why do you suppose these references to obeying the commandments are in the Book Revelation? This had nothing to do with anyone else's beliefs or convictions, but mine alone. I sincerely want to follow God and His commandments, after all Jesus said "if you love me you will obey me" since I love Him, I want to obey Him

We should all do as you share here, love the Savior and do what we know pleases Him. We know in our hearts Himward if we are acting in Spirit and Truth. There is no command for me to call Him by the name given in Hebrew, but, because Mary, Joseph, their other children, the Apostles and all friends would have called Him Yeshua (The Salvation of Yah), I like to use that name. There is no command to use Yeshua, but there is no command to use the Greek transliteration either. We do these things when we believe it pleases God, Yahweh, and for no other reason. For others to find fault in this practice is imposing upon us, while they name their own laws for others to observe. If this sounds familiar, it is not surprising. you are free to keep it if the holy spirit leads you to it and that is fine. but we are no longer under the law of moses thats what Jesus died for. So either way your fine I wouldnt stress. You should all check out fuel project - stay free and get involved in the movement

Luk 18:20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. Does anyone believe Jesus was not refering here to all of the commandments? He does not mention them all, but He does say, "Thou knowest the commandments." He said this to people who knew them, and I do not believe for a second He was not referring to them all. So, yes, He did teach to obey the commandments, not to mention where He explained and taught the laws were not abolished rather they were completed. So, yes, He did teach to observe the Sabbath, and in other teachings He elaborated on how by His own example and teaching.

Apostle Paul has clearly spoken on this issue, and all such issues, as to which days to keep, and what to eat. All these are very small issues, and one should neither condemn nor pride in doing that.

Romans 14:

Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.


For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.


Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

I see nothing wrong in worshiping on the first day of the week (Sunday), or any other day of the week. In fact, if it weren't for Sun. worship, many would likely be lost. I know I would. But, to disobey any of Gods COMMANDS is wrong, and to teach others to disobey any of His commands is worse.

Here Paul teaches us that the commandments are holy, just and good. He also defines what sin really is; disobeying the commandments.
Again, there is nothing wrong with worshiping on Sunday, or any or every day of the week. But the definition of sin is the disobedience of Gods commands.

1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Keeping God the Fathers ten commandments will not save us, but in order to keep the first, and most important command from Christ; (love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind;) we must keep His commandments. "For this is the love of God"

So I ask again, sense it does not matter what day we choose, why not choose to observe the Sabbath, in accordance with Gods command?
We can still worship on Sunday. There's nothing wrong with Sun. worship, is there?

Cdavid, the commandments mentioned in 1 John 5, Revelation 22, John 14 & 15 are not references to the 10 commandments written on stone they're references to the Law of Christ. Compare John 6:28-29, 13:34-35 with 1 John 3:23. Remember context is key so when we read in 1 John that his commands are not grievous he is referring to the command given by Christ to love as He loved and John goes on to say if we don't love our brother we can't say we love God. If you haven't noticed in John 14 Jesus stated if you love me keep MY commands and in context with the previous chapter John 13:34-35 Jesus was referring to the command to love as he loves which is actually a deeper love since it requires death to our flesh hence why we must carry our cross daily. Also if you carefully examined John 15:10 you will see that Jesus stated that we are to abide in His love as he abode in His Father's revealing that the commands we are now under are His which fulfills the law for Christ's commands is to love. Jesus abode in His Father's love perfectly to the T, that is, all the commands written on stone was kept perfectly something we can never do in the flesh (sinful nature). And this is why I have made my point before that we don't serve God after the letter but in newness of the spirit. Romans 7:6 This is why Jesus contrasts over and over in the Gospels with His teachings because He is revealing the true intentions underneath. We live off every Word of God and that includes every iota but not in the sense of the letter for that understanding is veiled and is unveiled in Christ revealing the deep things of God spoke of in 1 Corinthians 2 and 2 Corinthians 3. Paul was revealed the mysteries of the Gospel and that wisdom is rooted in Christ himself for He is the Living Word of God expounding the mysteries in the written Word through the Holy Spirit our teacher. The reason we are now under the Law of Christ is because it allows to be in a position to receive from God for it requires that we die to self carrying our cross and thus being in the spirit where we can understand plainly that which we have received from God and that's all the promises which results in our glorious rest in Christ. Glory to God!

Yep and even then there were times where God has led me to say an encouraging word or do a loving deed to someone that needed it! So when are we allowed to ignore everybody elses needs? Certainly not on the Saturday and definitely not on every other day of the week so how do we rest truthfully observing God's command the answer to that is in Christ! There's no way around that...
