There is no other city or nation on earth that could fulfill these requirements other than the United States of America. There are some who hold to the view this passage is referring only to New York City. In fact, it refers to both NYC and the entire nation. One good reasom is that the geographical position of the city of Babylon is miles from the sea. In revelation it says that people in ships see her destruction. This would not be possible if it was the actual city being spoken of.

Mystery Babylon is not the United States, and its not Rome either.

There are many people who are pushing people to take their eyes off these places and and from attaching the prophecy to them, and to look at what the bible actually says about the actual location of mystery babylon itself. I learned about it from a member here who posted a video Armageddon News did on the subject, and I learned more about it from a Christian named Walid Shoebat.

Mystery Babylon is Mecca, where every muslim must visit once in their life to bow before the meterorite fallen from space in order to be saved. The bible says seven hills, it also calls babylon a religious city in a desert by the red sea and even that it sits in Arabia, and that after it is destroyed no Arabian will pitch his tent there.

If you dont believe me, you can google Walid Shoebat, or watch Armageddon News, and argue the many many bible verses they use, as well as the facts about Mecca that many people dont know, and how muslims worship the black stone.
