AD 70 did not prove this at all, If it did. jews would have repented in numbers, And gentiles would have been saved in droves after this event, quite the opposite happened.
I see you do not understand human nature very well. After seeing with their own eyes God’s plagues in Egypt and the Red Sea miraculously parted the Jews still made an idol and bowed down to worship it and failed to believe what God had promised and died in the wilderness never setting foot in the promised land. So don’t assume that seeing such a terrible judgment and destruction of those under the Law would induce anyone to put their faith in God. That’s not the purpose of the revelation of God’s righteous judgment. The purpose is so that at the final judgment no man can stand before Jesus and plead ignorance.
Not to mention. If it was this important to prove Jesus Christ, god would have held out finishing scripture, and made sure this got in there so all the world could see this massive proof. And know it came from God.
It did get in there. It’s called “The Revelation of Jesus Christ,” and it is the primary subject of those prophecies which were given for the express purpose of revealing to the whole world just who this Crucified Savior is. He is no longer a simple carpenter from Nazareth clothed in humble flesh. He is now a Glorified, Triumphant, All-Powerful, Ever-Living, Ever-Reigning King of Glory who has overcome the world, triumphed over sin, broken the power of death, and defeated the enemies of God, including those of God’s own household. That’s what the Revelation of Jesus Christ reveals, the Triumph of Christ, the defeat of Satan, the judgment and destruction of those to whom God had entrusted the Promise, the salvation of a remnant, and the Gospel going forth into all the world for a witness to all nations that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
Then comes the end, Satan loosed, the armies gathered, fire raining down from heaven, the Lord's return, the great resurrection, the final judgment, the new heavens and earth, and the eternal state when the New Jerusalem descends out of heaven and the Father and Son dwell with man in a world that will never again know fighting, or sin, or death, or parting, or weeping, or sorrow ... Maranatha, Come Lord Jesus!
Oh I am? when satan is cast into the lake of fire he is done.
Please explain just what you mean by “he is done?” And what exactly is the difference between Satan being “done” and being “bound.”
When he is bound, he is not able to DECIEVE NATIONS.. seems he is doing a prety good job at decieving nations even today. and you want to say he is bound? An army who's leader is taken out and bound is dead.
You’ve got it wrong. Satan will not be “taken out” until he is cast into the lake of fire. And he will never be “dead” but will be tormented in the lake of fire forever and ever.
Look, when the scribes heard about Jesus casting demons out of people they accused him of casting out demons by the power of Satan. But Jesus told them:
But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. Matthew 12:28-29
So you see? You are assuming that Satan being bound means he is powerless and dead. But that’s not what Jesus taught about the binding of Satan. Jesus clearly said that Satan had to be bound in order for him to enter into Satan’s house and “spoil his goods,” meaning liberate the souls that Satan has help captive all their lives.
None of the things I’m sharing are new, they are in fact what the Gospel teaches:
And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine [is] this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him. Mark 1;27
Jesus gives a very different explanation of what it means for Satan to be bound, and it does not, as you state, mean Satan is “taken out and dead,” it means he is powerless against Jesus, powerless to stop the Lord, and the Lord’s Church, from beating down the gates of hell and liberating the souls that Satan has help captive all their lives.
Satans army is going prety strong right now.. Why?
Because the Church is so weak. The Church, at least the evangelical church of America, has willfully and arrogantly laid down it’s sword and refused to engage, choosing to believe instead that this world and everything in it belongs to and is under the power of Satan, and they are just biding their time until the Lord comes and takes them away while the world goes to hell in a hand basket. This is not what the Church is called to do, to refuse to fight and just hand over the world to Satan as if that is God’s will because of some twisted interpretation of prophecy that strips Jesus of his power and authority and makes eunuchs of Jesus’ warriors.
Because satan still has full control.
That's not true!
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Now brother, who has all the power? In heaven and in earth? Satan? Or Jesus?
I am showing the difference between the world where newborn kids will sleep with lions and not be afraid. where neighbors all agree to what the gospel is and who Christ is, and their is no fighting. where the nations come to worship the savior, who is on his throne. where alot of things happen which make that time different than today. where at the end, satan is loosed, and again prepares an army to fight Christ in one final battle, and Christ wipes this army out with his words. and THEN the end comes.
but I guess this world will not exist. we have to go on thinking evil will continue as it is.. not that God is being patient..but the day of his wrath will surely come, followed by a time of peace unlike this world has ever seen. yet people will still reject him (why it is so easy for satan to get an army so fast)
A world where newborn kids will sleep with lions? You mean a world where the animal kingdom will no longer prey upon one another to eat? You mean a return to the Edenic state man and all creation enjoyed before sin and death entered into the world? But that’s just it, those conditions will not exist until this old sin-weary, death-bound, corrupt world is purified by fire and all those things are forever purged away. Then there will be a new heaven and a new earth and THEN the lamb will lie down with the lion, THEN there will be no more sin, or sickness, or weeping, or death. Then there will be no more sin or rebellion because the sinners will be gone. Then there will be no more evil because Satan will not just be bound in the pit, but he too will be cast into the lake of fire. THEN he will be “gone” … forever.
But until that day, it is Jesus Christ who reigns over all things, whether they be things in heaven, or things in earth, all power and all authority belongs to him. And he has commissioned us, his Church, to go forth in his name and beat down the very gates of hell, preaching the Gospel and setting souls free from their prisons, spreading abroad the light and love and peace of God that transcends this old world and changes lives.
Choose carefully who you believe is King and Lord of this earth, my brother, souls depend on it …
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;
that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And
what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places],
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come …
In Christ,
Pilgrimer
