I want to thank each and every one of you for your comments…It matters not were you stand, so long as you keep searching for Gods truth.

As a child I was raised a Catholic. When I was eight I started skipping school to go and sit in an empty church…I just wanted to be close to God, and talk to him. At nine I wanted to be a priest. My Grand father said he would help me. Each week I would go to a class with other kids, and the priest would tell us about God. I remember everything was a secret? My Grand father said if I asked the priest a question each week, and came home with the question, and the answer…he would give me a nickel. That was a big deal back then. One week the priest talked about original sin. He said that is why we die. I lied to my Darling Grandfather, and said I had asked why we die, and the priest said because of original sin...my first nickel. This went on for some time. I was the kid on the block…I always had ice cream money.
Somebody had a baby and it was baptized. We had a big gathering of people at my Grandfathers house. People were standing, eating talking all over the place, even in the yard. The priest was right in the middle of the mess eating. I asked him, “Father, were already Catholic. Why are we baptized. To remove original sin,” replied the priest.
Well, that was the day I stopped being a Catholic.
I have looked deep into many religions. I found good people in all of them. Only problem, most of the leaders were saying the same things. Things that went against Gods written word.

I was a Minister for almost thirty years. I left that because I was asked to teach things that were not true. That’s not saying those who wanted me to teach things I knew were wrong. I know many believed what they believed.

All religions say they have the truth. Yet, they say all the others are the false religions?
The Bible calls false religions, Babylon the Great.., the great Whore riding the wild beast.
The Great whore are religions. The beast? The Governments of the earth.
What am I left with? I have something worth more than our whole universe…a Bible.
I encourage you, Read your Bible. Pick it apart. Don’t expect it to give up it’s secrets easily. Ask God to give you understanding. Ask, and keep asking.

Though your answer is not wrong it was not the answer this man was seeking he wanted to remind us that the Messiah gave His life for us.

Jesus declared, ”It is finished,” and then ”He gave up His Spirit.”

So.even before Jesus died on the cross, He let us know He knew.....Sin was conquered, death was conquered. Satan though, to this day is STILL the prince of THIS world, was known to one day , be through with his rule, when Jesus descends from the sky to take us Home :)

There was a song a girl who played keyboard in singles group, song was ” Hope in the,Name of Jesus.”.
Chorus is:
”There is hope in the Name, hope in the Name of Jesus.”

Lovely song, she really sang it well. :)

Sorry guys...I think I did not position the question right on a stright course. let me try again. True Jesus gave his life...but it was only for threeday. Could he have just have said, "I'll save you."

What I'm after is; "There had to more to his death, than just being beaten to a pulp, and being nailed to a stake, and dead for three days. remember the part about the seed in Genesis 3:15...THE BIG HINT? Think...what was lost forever?
Romans 5:13To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law.
Romans 5:14Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.
Romans 3:9[ No One Is Righteous ] What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin.

The death was necessary for the punisnment of sin to be dealt with, done finished and to pay for all the sins not only from Adam to Mose but for the whole. It was to clear the deck so that life by the resurrection could take place here and now in believing God at God's word
His death was to clean out the disease of sin yet the whole world is focused on sin instead of seeing that by Chrisat and through Christ he has taken it all away, cleared the deck of disease
If God came to me and said to raise my Sister back to life and I said yes great thank and this happens she is raised back to life
Would she have to die again?
Of coarse unless the disease that caused her death to begin with has been dealt with first. And this iwhat Christ Jesus did by the death the disease of sin causing death has been dealt with period and life in the Spirit now awaits for those that ask after seeing waht I just said here and now, not when you die physically, by belief here and now
Romans 6:1-6:11 and read even further it is so real yet to this world we are phsycho whem we believe this and get our skin pinched trying to convince us we must be phsycho, this world not realising that we are by belief held alive in the Spirit of God for:
Acts 17:28For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Somehow I'm getting the feeling you guys need stronger hints, so here is strong one. "We all should feel jesus death leaves us oweing millions, perhaps billions of people our life."
Gen. 3:15 was the prediction of the cross and what would happen and satan would bruise his heel but as satan did not see was that Christ by the resurrection actually bruised satans head and condemned satan by him being judged it is over done finished we are freed if only we will come to believe that he did die for all to bring all to a new life in him through belief in him by the resurrection of him which is for us here and now through belief and be counted crazy by this world
John 16:11Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
At the cross more so the resurrection The prince of this world by the death has been defeated and has no more jurisdiction over any believer unless he can deceive them into trying to obey law any law then that would be works of self and denial of the cross being the death that freed those under the law to serve in a new way
It is like the Cold war who threatened just come over here and they will demolish you come on?
So in fear of; what does one do they have doubt and do what?
Yes so now see the cross was the fulfillment of Gen. 3:15 And the devil has been stripped of his goods to demolish anyone. His weapons are obsolete after the resurrection of Christ
Just like at the Cold war their weapons were obsolete and could not do what they claimed they could except them getting you or anyone to believe they could
Fear is the crippler Faith in the truth of the finality of the cross is the freer unto a new life here and now, living freely in love the love of 1 cor 13

My hope was others would use their own minds to figure this out. Genesis 3:15 is what the whole Bible is about. Satan was an angel. Angels have no seed. Only human men have seed. When the angels were commanded to serve man, 1/3rd rebelled
Look at the list of Adams childern...Cain and Able are not in that list. The bruse in the heel on Jesus, means it is not a lasting death wound. The bruse on the heat od Satan, is a lasting death.
Jesus came here as a perfect human with out animal seed. If he had childern, they would have never died. Jesus had within him a perfect human race. when Jesus died, that perfect unborn human race died for this one.
I cry every time I think about that. I wonder what they would have been like...even looked like. After three day, that seed in a dead body, would have all been dead.

The death of a whole perfect unborn race for the like of us. It's not fair. They should be alive, and we should be dead.
I beg to differ with you:
4 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

Then
Genesis 4:25
And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
Then the devil goes after Seth and then on and on until there is twelve patriarchs and The Devil is decevied not knowing where the promised child is coming from and encourages the death trhough the religous teacers of that day only to make himself an open spectacle defeated

If you think Satan has no power, and is done...you are living in dream world. He will come as the antichrist, destroy all religion, and most of the people of the world will turn their backs to God.

When you said, "Jesus came here as a perfect human with out animal seed. If he had children, they would have never died. Jesus had within him a perfect human race. when Jesus died, that perfect unborn human race died for this one.

It struck me as odd bc this is the very Christ who rose from the dead - who conquered the grave. If resurrection is possible and if nothing is impossible for God and if Christ is God then what of 3 days to the body or the seed?

maybe this is more of a contemplative, mournful exercise? a lesson in humility and gratitude?
i have taken moments in the past to reflect on how unworthy i am - we all are - of salvation.

that is why i questioned your idea of Christ. i feared it was veering off in some slightly heretical vein (to me) that i cannot at this time afford.
The three days was :
Hebrews 9:15And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Hebrews 9:16For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
Hebrews 9:17For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
If he had not been dead for three days then proof of the death would not be valid and we would not be in e new covenant, undera new Priesthood, delivered out of the levitical priesthood under the Law of Moses and we would not be under a new law a law of love God's type founf in 1 cor 13.

I‘m a writer. I do years of research on subjects I write…even for fiction. One story I have been working on for the past several years, is the death of Jesus…who killed him” Some put it on the Jews, others the Romans.
Who do you think Killed Jesus?
Multi-facted answer:

God did:

Isaiah 53
10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the Lord makes[c] his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.

Acts 2
23 This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men,[d] put him to death by nailing him to the cross. 24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.

He laid his own life down, as Psychomom has presented quite well.

As well as:
The Jews
1 Thess. 2

13 And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe. 14 For you, brothers and sisters, became imitators of God’s churches in Judea, which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own people the same things those churches suffered from the Jews 15who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to everyone16 in their effort to keep us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. In this way they always heap up their sins to the limit. The wrath of God has come upon them at last.

The Pharisees and the Romans together:
35 “Am I a Jew?” Pilate replied. “Your own people and chief priests handed you over to me. What is it you have done?”

John 19:34
Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus' side with a spear, bringing a sudden
flow of blood and water.

We who receive the atonement:
1 John 2:2
2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

... and us as individuals:
Romans 4:25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

Re: The Jews murdered Jesus...

Here we have a Christian explainining the entire bible's explantion of Jews in this post! Here in a few scriptures is all the answer to who killed Christ. I don't think so!

Like the six blind men who went to see the elephant. Each of them had felt one part, each said they knew all about the elphant. One said an elephant is like a tree, another a wall, another like a spear, another a snake, another like a fan, another said like a rope.

What is God like?
Jews killed Jesus. Read 1 Thess 2.

No one killed Jesus, He laid down His life for our sake. To say the Jews or Romans killed Him is completely irresponsible and against God's word and the work of the cross
Who does Paul Identify as those who killed Jesus?

1 Thess 2:
[SUP]13 [/SUP]And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe. I think we might need to see the ALL LOVE that God did for us all let us beleive God today and receive this love of 1 CVor 13
1 Corinthians 13:13And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Which is Love the perfection of the entire word and this word is Christ not the Bible. The Bible is only a tool in getting to know the woird Christ
John 1:1[ The Word Became Flesh ] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:23John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, “I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.’”
John 2:22After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.
John 4:50“Go,” Jesus replied, “your son will live.” The man took Jesus at his word and departed.
Are we going to take Jesus at his word when he yelled out from the cross
John 19:30When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Now we all get to search and find out waht is exactly finished and this being finished does for the believer
