Timothy 2:16- 19
2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hy-me-nae'us and Phi-le'tus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying the ressurection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are His. And let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from their iniquity.

A great message given in relation to this...
"The test of our talk is if at the end of the talking, we are closer to God, then all is well, but if we have erected barriers between one another and have moved further from God, then all is not well. The aim of all Christian discussion and action is to bring a man nearer to God and fellow believers. The Words and Works of men will reveal whether their heart is pure"
Pickles - here I sit with a bible in hand and the Holy Spirit to guide me. No desire whatsoever to take on "ism" labels of men or credit any belief I have to men, as if I follow them, just what I read from scripture and understand of it. Some on here must believe they have some kind of infallibility, very evident when they see everyone else as wrong, except of course for themselves.
I believe it was Paul who said in
1 Cor 1:10-13: "Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and
that there be no divisions among you, but
that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s
household, that there are contentions among you. Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?"
