Why ?
Why do you get attracted to the guy with the nice boat when the guy you really want is the 'pure vessel' simply wanting to.be used by Him. Money not his thang, never will be, he tells you so, this 'vessel' God-pumped-up-for-serving guy.

Yes, him.

So, why him?

What's to love about a rich, sharp-dressed man guy who will wine and dine you and, who is handsome and successful and Godless in his life?

What?

Enquiring guy minds want to.know why you choose to.wait on him and not Him.
Don't you know He HAS a beautiful 'wait' plan for you, miladies ! The best, man, I mean, woman ;)

(Isaiah 40:31) Those who wait on the Lord will.walk and not grow weary, run, and, not faint, and, they will.be lifted up with wings like eagles.

He will liFT you up, in this way, where YOU belong . Just be patient, might be months, might be years, or, hey, like me (from a guy's perspec) NEVER :D , oh, OK, I still DO hold my heart open tho I older, the Lord leads, I've been (purely) patient this long .

$o,, miladies, Who do.you want to rich in, Him or him, remember, you can't serve TWO.masters, you will either love the one and hate the other or, vice versa, Scripture tells us

So, him , or, Him ?

Who.will you walk.with on the street tonight ? His great 'guns' or his forever roses of real.Love, because he loves Him.
Oh, by the way, YOU can HAVE the first guy right now, he will lift you up where you don't belong, where you won't belong :( Yeah, yeah, just a little patience, yeah, yeah, that will do.it, just a little and THAT GREAT GOD clothed guy will.step.through, right? Probably not, right :(

But, take heart, with knowing His Love for you is patient, and, IF you do/have erred, picked some rich , sharp dressed Godless guy, just go.to.Him, in tears, contrite, and, patiently then start all over, peeling off the filth of what you're being, and, getting to.what's underneath, clothed now, you, in His righteousness, you, my precious miladies, are now up where you belong :)

Now, that wasn't such a bad thread to muddy on through now, was it.
Sometimes, and, I can hope and pray this thread qualifies, can be worth a lot of patience to see, in the end, that there is forgiving thinking that makes all the accusational.and tough to read stuff worth it in the end :) :) :)

May God bless you, miladies, perfectly ALL made beautiful by His plans (Jer. 29:11) before you were born (Psalms 139) with a faith and resilliency to never leave Him :) (Hebrews 13:5)

Because he has money and can make life a little more comfortable for me. And it's great if he has a decent smile too. (He would look fabulous on my arm)

I would like to choose a guy who has a humble God fearing heart, and who chooses to be upright in the eyes of God. I would never choose a godless rich man .

you cant buy love , care ,understanding , support for money etc ,money do have value ,cuz u can get food on it , cloth to wear etc ...but money its not everything thts for sure

Can I not have a well-dressed man with class, who enjoys wining and dining, and still have him be a godly man? Are the godly men suppose to dress poorly? Are they not suppose to enjoy dining? Why is well-dressed, successful, classy men equated with godlessness?

First of all, Green, wherever you've been hiding all these rich men, please let me know, as I've never met, dated, or been attracted to one. :)

Any guy I ever loved was poor and it was me who wound up paying for him, even though I had menial jobs.

Second, many of the most famous, admired, and faithful patriarchs of the Bible were very, very rich men: Abraham (whom I've heard in today's money was probably a billionaire), Isaac, and Jacob... As well as David, Joseph, and I could go on and on... Solomon built temples and houses out of solid gold--he most certainly wasn't poor (yes, I know his faith wavered but he started out being raised as a child of God.)

Being rich doesn't mean you're a heathen, just as being poor doesn't mean you're a true Christian. And vice versa, of course. I once heard a pastor say that people always quote, "It's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to go to heaven," but he said that people don't realize the OPPOSITE is just as true--it's just as hard for a poor man to go to heaven as well--and that some of the greediest people he had ever met in his own ministry were the people who had no money. (Out of jealousy, they then condemned the rich as Godless heathens.)

As Arwen said, I'd rather have a man who is a balance--hard-working, a wise investor, and full of faith.

It truly astonishes me that so many people seem to think "penniless" = "Godliness" or that people who have done well or saved their money are somehow lesser Christians.

Seoulsearch, I actually hope penniless "does" equal godliness, because I am so broke right now, godliness is all I would have going for me. I'm so poor, people assume my wallet is fasting!!!

Well, sometimes peoples have a negative view on a rich "godly" man. Look at the likes of- hmm... someone like Benny Hinn. The guy has haters. :p

LOL, Descyple :)

And Searching--of course, not every wealthy guy, or even one who claims to be a Christian, truly is. :)

But that doesn't mean that every man who's been successful is ungodly, or that a woman would be wrong to be attracted to him, is all I'm saying.

I think there is a difference with being penniless and just being cheap. If he is broke, thats one thing. I am a student, I am broke too. But I still manage to dress decently. I am sorry but if the guy is just making excuses to be cheap, because he is too lazy to dress decently, I won't bother. Too many guys these days settle for a boyish image- grow up and dress like a man, because thats who you are. Yes, I have standards- which will probably cause me to be single for the rest of my life. I don't know if that says something about me or the men in our society. Thats up to you to determine.

I don't want "some rich guy." I want a man who is like-minded. Also, there has to be some sort of spark, I believe.

Yes, as Arewenarragon said, yes, you CAN have a rich, well-dressed Godly guy, but what I am saying is MOST Godly guys will be serving Him, submission to Him--as, you now understand a man's submission once married to you, eh-- and, though they make even MORE MONEY per year than the rich, well-threaded, godless guy, they just don't love their money and live much more modestly than the Tesla-owning , Alfani-suited, godless guy.
Remember, read, OP, I didn't say they didn't have money, I said they will tell you that SERVING God is their primary goal in life and giving to Him will be done a ton so, ”don't marry me, let alone keep going out with me IF you don't have my same 'blood type' of giving nature.”

That is what IS being said, this thread is not stereotyping or equating a rich guy being godless and guy with no money and poor as Godly. Nope.
It IS equating a God-full guy will give to many things of His putting on that guy's heart.
I'm saying a lot of girls want that kind of nature in a guy but get allured by the debonair, 'car' guy's toys or smoothness, even to point of being so.smooth you end up paying for your going out (sorry of that seoulsearcher, but that DOES explain your heart :) , and, your naiveness to be the victim, too :(
It truly astonishes me that so many people seem to think "penniless" = "Godliness" or that people who have done well or saved their money are somehow lesser Christians.
Nope, not what's being said, no difference between two, except one guy loves money, one guy does not have it the 'root' of his life .
Seoulsearch, I actually hope penniless "does" equal godliness, because I am so broke right now, godliness is all I would have going for me. I'm so poor, people assume my wallet is fasting!!!
Right, cype, lol, God provided for Abraham, He will provide for us too, does , in fact, we just sometimes have a hard time seeing His provision through our cluttered minds that God only asks we be poor in spirit :)

arwen83 - you may be able to find those qualities in a Godly man, but if you had to choose would you choose a wealthy successful spouse over Godly spouse? Sometimes wealth gets in the way of being truly Godly. Reference - Mat 19:24 paraphrased: it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven.
