Its terrible what being blind to the truth can do to a person. When a christian talks to them they tend to see them as trying to condescend to them.

What are you going to do? Take a plane to Jenner's house, knock on his/her door, and when it opens, yell "You're going to hell if you don't reverse the operation!!" Be realistic, Mitspa. This has been happening for years and years. Does it make it right? Of course not. But if there was no wickedness on Earth, why even have a Heaven and Hell? All you can do is pray for these individuals, because you can't do a darn thing to change their mindsets. Only God can.
No but if I had a chance I would be sure to tell him the truth...don't seem like no one else cares enough about him to do that? And so what if evil has been going on for years? Should we have more evil? Should we promote it and celebrate it now? Make it a civil right and demand that our children learn how to be perverts and make our little boys wear dresses and make-up?

You obviously didn't read my post and comprehended it fully, because I said that it DOESN'T make it right. Just like I am not surprised in one bit of the Supreme Court ruling on same sex marriage. Again do I think it's right? Of course not! But I'm not going to come to CC, act tougher by posting things like "it's time to take a stand!" You know by saying such things, you're wasting time, instead of taking the stand you're proclaiming to take. I know what I can do. I can only love people, and preach the Gospel. The rest is up to them. Because LGBT people are no different from you and me. Just for some reason why Christians tend to put down those instead of someone that may be telling a lie or looking at someone a little too long as he or she walks past them. We all need Christ and too often (especially on here) people get prideful and put down other non believers once they have accepted Christ. There's a reason why so many people have Christians. It's not rocket science. People respond to love instead of pitchforks.

The holy Spirit will convict them of sin.. and help them see their need for Christ....But the Holy Spirit bears witness to the truth, not a lie...And those who flocked to Christ was all very aware that they was sinners and needed a Savior...that's the purpose of the law and that's why the law was established and Jesus came to those under the law...SO THEY WOULD KNOW THEY NEEEDED A SAVIOR...
Romans 8:2 "For the law of the Spirit of Life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death."

I think the law (which we cannot keep, therefore condemns us to sin and death) is different from the Law of the Spirit of Jesus Christ which takes away the sins of the world. The law was established to bring us to the end of ourselves. The Law of the Spirit of Life which is in Jesus Christ makes us turn to Him.

They came to Jesus because He IS light and love and life.

I meant no offense to anyone

We all are allowed to express our opinions
Yet I still love everyone in Christ.

Sigh...I do look forward to being flawless in heaven lol I must say

Im not one that ever likes disagreements
I love my sweet nature best lol
I've read enough of your posts to know you are a loving and caring woman. And I know you do truly love people, but I don't think calling someone like Jenner a freak shows love.

Yes ...this scripture is for believers...who have the Holy Spirit...and Jesus came to save sinners from sin. Now I have tried to reason with you about this from a place of honesty considering your compassion...but you seem determined to take a unbiblical position based on your emotions and not on the truth, you even seem to now be willing to twist scripture in a way that causes me to doubt that we will have much real fruit in our discussion?

Well Im not sure of your point? Im posting on a topic I think is very important and giving my clear and biblical reasons why I think it is important ...If that bothers you? I suggest you ignore my post or find other topics ...as far as your thoughts on how best to reach the lost or sinners...your welcome to your opinion and may God help you...I have been a very effective prison minister and a preacher for many years now and I don't have to guess at how to bring sinners to Christ...Christ has taught me.

Here's the beauty of all of this... We are all different and react differently. I grew up in a house that hated each other. Have been verbally and emotionally abused all 24 years of my life and counting. Had someone did the whole "You're going to hell" thing to try to save me, guess what? It wouldn't have worked. My opinion of God would have been vastly different, and in a negative way. You mention Christ taught you. Christ also taught us to love our neighbors as ourselves, and to reach out to those in sin without stumbling ourselves. So you can cherrypick all you want. Bottom line is feeling loved is the number one thing we as humans want, and when we finally know we are loved by Christ, that makes it so much better. Just ask the prostitue that Christ knelt down next to when He said "Go, and sin no more."

ok...so whats your point?...my point is that we don't help sinners by telling them sweet lies about their sin. That only sinners need a Savior...if you lie to a sinner about their sin your blinding them to their need for Christ.

My point is LGBT people are no different from a Christian that says a lie or a Christian that looks at someone of the opposite sex a little too long as he or she walks past her or him. So you want to harp on the homosexuals and transexuals? You might want to go over to the guy that checks out the waitress next time you go out to eat, then. That is my point. We're making homosexuality and transsexuality bigger than everyday things Christians do like lie and lust. When they're not. They're all sin. Sin doesn't have categories. How about you treat it all the same and treat everyone the same through love through Christ?

well sin is sin ...yes.. but a true believer in Christ will forsake sin...not approve it or promote it...and we where talking about unsaved sinners and the promotion of sexual perversion in our society.

2Ti 2:19 ¶ Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

By the way this sin is a sin that is pointed to as a sin unto a reprobate condition...it is a sin above other sins...if you believe the bible?

Again. How about going up to someone next time a person lies or gossips or checks out someone of the opposite sex. Since, you know, you said Christ has taught you. Christ teaches us do to that, too, ya know.

I don't promote any of those sins and I don't think we should approve or promote any sin at anytime...when our government starts making adultery a special civil right and force that others accept and approve it...you will for sure hear me speak against it!

We don't have to go look for sin...its shows up all around us...no need for a witch hunt! But what is going on is that sin is being promoted and celebrated and even forced upon us....

And YES biblically speaking.. its the worse manner of "sin"

Okay awesome. I'm glad to hear that. So since you're saying things like "no more" (I'm paraphrasing) with people like Bruce Jenner, you should also say "no more" with one of your neighbors that I can guarantee you is struggling with gossip or lying or lust. It'll be a whole lot easier, constructive, and realistic for you.

When my neighbors sin starts effecting my neighborhood and starts demanding I accept and approve their sin...be sure I will speak up :)
