o.k sorry. but your OPINION of Biblical truth is your opinion. no verse says hate the world. again, if that is how you chose to see it, go ahead. but just do not sate it as a attitude everyone has to have.
The worldly mindset of people who do not know God is a mindset of sin and darkness, in which we all were once held captive too. The lusts of the flesh, the pride of life, sin, wickedness, etc. Having been in the world once I know what it is like. How is it I can hate those people who are unsaved and think somehow I am better than them? I cannot. I am no better than anyone else because the bondage people are in I too was once in. So I can look upon those who are lost and have compassion, and have love for them in my heart hoping one day they too will come to know the beauty of the liberty of Jesus Christ and the comfort of His Holy Spirit. But what I do HATE is the very nature of sin, the evil, the wickedness. I hate all of it. It enslaves people and destroys souls. So how can I not hate these things in which God also hates? We are called to love good, and hate evil. So my point is I hate the sin, the very ways of the world that is against God. The very nature of it, I hate. And this hate is not one of anger or walking around mad all the time. Anger is a flood and is sin in itself. But hating the world or the ways of the world simply means I refuse to accept it's beliefs that oppose God and all that He stands for. God hates sin, and hates the ways of the world. Sin cannot live in His presence, and one day sin will be done away with entirely.
The reason I even commented on this post was to state that some of the celebrities mentioned here are of the world, and have the same mindset of the world. Their lifestyles will reflect that. But like I said, God is the judge of their heart, not me. But as a Christian I am cautious on what or who entertains me so that I may keep myself pure, keeping the world out. I am moving on from this, my point has been made. No hard feelings gb9, have a good one.
