I had so many as a kid! Barbies I remember of course, but it seemed like the ones that I remember most were super weird.

Rosebud is my Sister-In-Law's name and I just talked to her and my Nephew Brad today they were calling to wish me a Happy Birthday which is tomorrow.... We had a nice chat but I found out that my Nephew had gotten a divorce back in August after being married for 37 years. He said he tried for 10 years to get his wife to go to a marriage counselor but she refused...

So please say some prayers for Brad and Karen that they would someday give their hearts to God....Thanks.

I loved playing with baby dolls. I would wash their clothes in the sink and then dry them on the heater vent and dress them up and take care of them.

Also loved playing with play doh,, Loved the different colors and the smell and playing with it making different things.

Loved my coloring books and crayons....I could color for days..... Even as an adult will color something now and again good relaxing therapy.

My Dad gave me a Schwinn girls bike that was blue and white and he said you be good to this bike as it is the only one I will ever buy you. Apparently my older brother had gone through a lot of bikes and ruined it for me.... But I loved that bike and rode it everywhere. I can even now remember how the wind felt blowing on me with my arms out as I rode with no hands. I think I ended up leaving it with my Niece when I went away to school in Tennessee...

Wish I still had some of my bikes and toys I had as a kid, some would be very collectible today.

Happy Birthday!! Also, I'm very sorry to hear about the divorce.
Whatever happened between them, I'm sure that God has an understanding that when you try your best at something and it just doesn't work out, you have to make the decision that you feel is best for your situation. I think sometimes doing right by God means just doing all that you can, even if that means letting something go in a different direction. I really should take my own advice.

I wish you and your family best wishes!

I guess for childhood toys, for me it was My little Pony and Cabbage Patch Kids.
One of my favorites was a doll called Lil Miss Makeup. And a play kitchen with plastic play food. Ah, those memories.....

My brother and I would set up little towns with Playmobil sets, Little People, Winnie the Pooh figures, McDonald's toys and make the characters interact, often in ways that would make us laugh. :)

One favorite toy I had was a Scooter. What makes me chuckle now is the sight of Adults riding them.
Another was Meccano which created a large number of Mechanical gizmos from wheel barrows to Battle Ships.
It is still on sale but its a pale version compared to what it was in its hey day.

I admit I had one, and one day I decided totry jumping 1,00 jumps, I did. The following day my pogo stick went missing! I think the neighbors complained to my Dad.

I used to entertain my, then toddler, niece b going up and down the porch ssteps on my hands… I had forgotten about that until one day, as a mother of grown boys, she told me all she could remember of her younger childhood was me going up and down the porch steps that way. She made me feel good and small at the same time. The things we rememberkK!
